This is a usual lunch spot in the Bar restaurant. Always great service and food choices for a quick lunch or an extended lunch. The restaurant is wonderful too.
We booked this place for our friend's birthday lunch. However, I was a bit disappointed that beef cheeks is now off the menu and the dish I wanted was sold out eventhough we turned up for our booking at quarter past 12. We later found out we were charged a 3% Amex fee when we paid with visa/master card, so not the greatest experience overall. Not likely to go back anytime soon.
Food and service was great, and a good option for the CBD - particular for business meals.
We went on a busy Friday for lunch, and it turned out there was also a function on in their downstairs cellar area. Wait staff were very good with advising us that with the function on, they wanted to take our order quickly to ensure that our orders weren't behind the large function. Staff were quick to organise new drinks, and very helpful and knowledgeable. Food was great as always, although I was disappointed to see that the beef cheeks are no longer on the menu. I am told that the new pork belly which has replaced it was very good though.
