Our dinner at Maison du Mezze was the perfect night out! The service was polite, friendly and very attentive, the atmosphere welcoming and the food... Just amazing. We had an assortment of Mezze and two main, which was way too much but still gorgeous. Would visit any time again.
Lovely restaurant and staff, couldn't do more to accommodate you
The shisha was outsanding and the food is excellent ! Wonderfull place !
I chose to book Maison du Mezze for an early pre-theatre dinner and was not disappointed! We were a little concerned beforehand at the slightly high prices but figured that the location, right on Leicester Square, probably justified it; as it turned out, the interesting decor, lively atmosphere and delicious food made it well worth while! Juices and smoothies are made on the premises, as is the baklava (made with proper honey, not syrup or sugar!), while the mezze dishes were all really tasty. We saved a bit of money by sharing small dishes rather than ordering any bigger fish or meat dishes, though I'm sure they would have been up to the same standard. The staff were all friendly and helpful and made sure that we were served in good time when we explained that we were going onto the theatre. I highly recommend it and would definitely go there again.
I love the food here, it’s very fresh, seasoned perfectly and well presented.
The thing that I don’t like about this restaurant is the screens on the walls showing pictures
of the food. It feels tacky.
There’s something very off putting when you’re eating really good food, trying to have a conversation,
and large screens showing lurid pictures of what you’re eating are in front of you, when what is on the table
looks so much nicer.
Nice, friendly, attentive staff.
The food was good but the service was EXTREMELY POOR. The wait staff was shockingly rude to our party on multiple occasions throughout the night. Our waiter scoffed at our food choices when we ordered, we had to ask multiple waiters for certain items because he didn’t put in certain orders, and as we were collecting money to paying the bill he came to the table and rudely told us “not to forget the service charge” and walked off. From the second we arrived to the moment we left, we did not feel welcome. Unfortunate, as the food was great, but definitely not coming back.
Excellent menu. Staff made our daughter feel very special on her birthday. Great atmosphere. Cocktails a bit pricey. Overall a great night was had.
Delicious food friendly staff and right in the heart of Leicester Square
Great food but the blaring up of the music for “Happy birthday” several times was quite an interruption
Table juste devant la porte d’entrée alors que la réservation a été faite très en avance, du coup froid tout au long du repas, manger avec un manteau n’est pas pratique !!!
The most amazing restaurant I’ve ate in! Couldn’t fault it one bit and can’t wait to go again m!
Lively atmosphere in central London.
very good experience. although it is in the middle of central London, it feels like a warm secret hideaway from the hustle and bustle directly outside. lovely food and great welcoming staff!
Apon arrival our table of 8 were seated at a table set for 6 and we were told we could all squeeze on , I said is there no where else we can be seated and the waitress informed me that there was a larger table upstairs. I wasn’t sure why we weren’t seated there in the first place. When I booked I was told the deposit would be taken off the total bill however we were given a voucher available for the valentines menu , our waiter was very helpful and sorted this issue for us , aside from these issues the food was lovely and atmosphere was also enjoyable, one meal was missed however they put this meal on the house which we all appreciated, I would recommend this restaurant however due to the food and location, very suited for a nice meal out with friends or a loved one
Starters were nice, the mint tea was good. That was it. Mains were average at best and disgustingly overpriced. Service was terrible. Was forced to pay a deposit over the phone ‘because the restaurant was overbooked’ (frankly If you are unable to manage your own booking system then that isn’t my problem) then when it came to paying the bill they claimed to have no knowledge of this deposit being paid. Was overall a very average yet expensive dinner. Would not recommend.
The Kebabs were amazing, and the service was the best. And Location in the middle of Leicester Square cannot be better!
Both food and staff were absolutely amazing, especially Amer who did his very best for me and my son as we celebrated our birthdays. Thanks for the dessert recommendation, Amer. I loved that pudding.
We had an excellent meal and the food was delicious. The staff were friendly and helpful and we would certainly visit again.
Already raved to the family about this. Went with friends for a double birthday celebration. The staff bent over backwards to ensure we had everything we wanted or needed.
Considering the location right in the centre of London's tourist heartland, I hadn't expected the kind of service and atmosphere one would have visiting a local independent restaurant outside of London. The food was hot and tasty, the meat succulent and well flavoured and cooked. We finished our mezze far too quickly - so tasty. As a recently diagnosed coeliac, I could not eat the flat bread or the rice, which was traditionally cooked with angel-hair pasta. However, the menu was sufficiently extensive that this did not compromise my ability to enjoy a full meal.
The service was prompt and attentive. I would heartily recommend this restaurant to anyone who enjoys lebanese food, even if you have had the pleasure of experiencing home-cooked fare before. Enjoyed my meal immensely.
Unfriendly to the point if aggressive service and high pressure to over order food resulting in a lot of waste and a huge bill.
What a lovely way to spend a Friday evening with old friends. This restaurant is clean, friendly, good value and has great staff who managed to deliver a perfect level of attentiveness. They noticed when we needed something, yet they never rushed us. In addition it's great to find somewhere that feels like an independent restaurant, right on Leicester Square and just steps from the station. Thanks guys for a great night.
The restaurant has a great atmosphere and delicious food. We found the drink prices reasonable but the food prices a little high.
Overall a good experience and some good food. The staff were knowledgeable of the food, polite and very pleasant. The chicken sheesh was a little dry and also a bit smelly which put me off a little bit. Everything else we ordered was tasty. A little bit overpriced for the quality of food.
Service was awful. They brought the wrong food to our table. They came to is 7 times in the first 10 minutes of us being there to ask what we wanted to eat, even though was asked them to come back in 10 minutes. Food was awful, definitely not worth the money.
Al Rajiv salad, hot mezze and 2 kids pizzas-all phenomenal!!!!
Loved the food and the atmosphere!
We only had 7 tapas style dishes, 1 bottle of wine, 2 glasses of red and 4 cocktails. Party of 4 people and bill was £182!!! We were in a rush to get to the theatre but I wish I'd checked the bill as that cannot be correct. I might go again but would check prices beforehand and the bill carefully. Ambience and staff are lovely but food average and prices too expensive. Unless my bill was incorrect.
A waitress has added things to our bill that we had not then so order it Was forced to recalculate
Abbiamo pranzato in questo ristorante per incontrare amici a noi molto cari. L'ambiente è molto gradevole, il cibo buono e il sevizio affidabile. Pulito e di buon gusto. Siamo rimasti tutti molto soddisfatti! Consigliato!
Great Lebanese food in the heart of London! Hookah is a bit pricey - but our server Anntonella was wonderful & very helpful.
Bit overpriced for what you get, but my main issue was the bad customer service (inattentive and slow). Also the music would intermittently get very loud, as if you were in a club.
The food was very good although the bread was cold we had booked for the pre theatre menu at 19.95 which should have included a glass of proseco which we did'nt get. We were seated inside as requested when I booked online which was fine but we did find it was'nt very warm because the outside door was constantly opened. I think because of location the menu can be costly but we avoided a high bill because of our choice of menu except for the fact that the bottled water is £5 !! Altogether a nice experience staff were pleasant but will try somewhere warmer next time!
A complete scam! Overpriced entrees don’t come with any sides (aka are meat only) and then a small bowl of rice is £4.50. As soon as we realized this, we paused on ordering- at which time the waitstaff became extremely rude and trickstery (specifically we had reduced our wine order from 2 bottles to 1 and despite clearly hearing us, brought out 2 bottles; we had to tell him multiple times we only wanted 1). Then, we went to order 1 larger app and, sure enough, they coincidentally sold out. Highly do NOT recommend
Amazing food amazing service.
It’s a bit expensive shisha £45 for basic pot.
Maybe they need to reconsider their shisha prices.
Stopped in for a quick meal before going to the theatre. The food was good but our waiter seemed unhappy that we didn't order more food. He even went as far as to question why we didn't order more and assumed we were unfamiliar with Lebanese food. (We are not) I said we had eaten a large lunch and weren't very hungry. We sat at a table next to the kitchen and 3 times our waiter spoke to other waitstaff and then they both turned around to stare, obviously talking about us. No idea why but waiter was being very rude. I do not recommend!
Just perfect !! Had best meal ever!
Thank you all and happy new year
The starter was overcooked. I think the food is overpriced.
The food arrived very cold and hard and we asked them to change it but it came back cold and we still ate it just for the sake of it and then one the waiters took my plate of bread and just left and didn’t bring it back . Also the value is not worth it . They put us next to the door where it was freezing cold when we asked to move they said there’s no tables but they were letting people in and towards the end one very nice waitress moved us upstairs and sang happy birthday for my friend which improved the visit by a bit but still the experience was bad . We paid a total of £170 for 4 people and felt it was not worth it .
