I love this place for brunch but was very disappointed in the food available at dinner.
This place is sooooo good!! The food is simple but not basic. Leans on the healthier side. Very chill space. Even when they got busy we weren't rushed. Perfect if you want a low-key night in a charming restaurant.
Delicious food, very hospitable staff, highly recommend!
We had read about this place making the Top 10 Parm sandwich in NYC so decided to check it out. While we didn't go for the meatball parm this trip (we will in the future) we had a great evening, delicious food/drink and warm/inviting service. The flatbreads were amazing - we will be back soon!
A hidden gem in Carroll Gardens!
This will be my new go to place for a fantastic burger or other comfort food.
We ordered a salad and Asian dumplings as appetizers. By the time the salad arrived, the dumplings had been on the table for a good 5-10 minutes and they were no longer hot. For entrees, we ordered the Pho and the baked pasta - both were disappointing. The pho had a sizable chunk of chicken cartilage in it along with a large piece of chicken skin. Despite the soup being good otherwise, the cartilage and skin made for an unappetizing experience. The baked pasta was utterly devoid of flavor and not good at all.
This has quickly become one of our favorite places to have dinner in Carroll Gardens. Especially good is the salad with chicken! The burgers are delicious and the brownie/ice cream dessert is sinfully good. The cocktails are inventive and the wine selection offers a range of choices. I recommend making reservations, as the space is tight. If memory serves, it is located in the old "Hole in the Wall" video store. This place is dang near perfect!
Madcap cafe staff were amazing- food was great. Kale salad, burger, pasta & meatballs. Excellent cocktails ❤️
