   Mother’s Day brunch we left because there was one waiter for 10 tables and one cook no bartender. Waited 45 Mins with only water many people left too. Waiter was scrambled dropped our drinks everywhere.

   It was nice. Could have been better if more people would work. There was only one server receiving guest and seating, taking orders cleaning up tables once finished Everyone dinning were considerate of one server. The food was satisfactory

   I feel horrible for the waiter that had to take care of the entire restaurant by himself from bar tending, to bussing, to folding napkins. Shame on the owners for leaving him high and dry. It used to be our favorite , you have lost all of my respect. We will not be back.

   There was no one in there for lunch except my friend and myself and another couple. One server who had the title of host, waiter and cleaner. Poor guy Asked him if I can order a lemonade that tasted like water and sugar and a hint of lemon. I ordered a egg omelette that was burned so was the side potatoes my 12 year old son could have made a better omelette it was flat with cheese which I didn’t order. I felt the place was dirty especially in time of Covid I saw the waiter wrap my silverware and bring it to my table after he touched a million items and didn’t wash his hands. I hope and pray I don’t get sick? The bar had dirty pitchers cups windex gross OSHA NEEDS TO COME HERE Don’t see where all the hype came from the decor sure was not whimsical It was truly a miserable experience

   There definitely appeared to be a staffing shortage, which is unfortunate and a common issue nowadays. Despite that challenge, we enjoyed our experience. The food was really good and the theme was fun and cool.

   The food was amazing. But they only had 1 steak left at 7pm on a Saturday night. The poor man serving was alone and the restaurant itself was kinda dirty and dingy looking

    Restaurant was closed during my reservation time... when I went back about 2 hours later, they were able to accommodate me though. There was only one staff member working. The food was ok. The rabbit hole downstairs was closed due to staffing issues. Not sure I'd go back, seems to have lost its unique flair.

    I understand that they are under new management but if they can’t provide the same atmosphere and qualify that returning customers are used to then they need to change there business model. Went for tea it was nothing like the tea experience I have had in the past. Sandwiches were dried out , deserts were cut up little Debbie snacks. It’s sad to see it go down hill.

    Had one of the best meals lately at this small bistro. Couldn't understand why we were the only ones there on Friday at 5:00 (which I know is rather early for dinner). Best chicken and waffles ever! They really elevated that dish, and my friend had an amazing chicken special. My only complaint is that the menu is not well designed -- it took a minute to figure out exactly what was available , since everything sort of overlaps. Would not hesitate to return, hopefully for brunch next time.

    We arrived a little before our reservation time and had to wait for about 10 minutes to be seated. The restaurant was quite small and was pretty dirty. Most of the decorations were dusty and the bathrooms needed to be cleaned which would not have been an issue for most places. There seemed to be only one person working. I know there was at least one other person there because someone had to be cooking. Jason, deserves a raise. He was our host, bartender, server and bus person! Except for the cook there was not another employee there the duration of our stay. We had really high hopes for this restaurant as we had heard of it online. Fortunately the food was good (we ordered the $27 steaks). Without the food, we probably would have left after our drinks. But Jason was very polite and did the best he could. He did not complain about anything. I feel bad for him because toward the end of our meal he started waiting tables both upstairs and downstairs. If he had become injured they would have had to shut the whole place down! Overall, it was disappointing because we had really hoped that the restaurant’s ambiance would have been something that would bring us back. Jason is a professional and the food was good but nothing else was.

    Apmosphere was very small and cluttered not whimsical as expected by advertising. The server we had was friendly and good. He however was the only front of house employee; hosting, serving, bartending and cleaning, while having about 12 tables, a few of which were on a different floor. So he is also running up and down stairs, while doing all of this. So service was a litte slower than I feel most people would want. I wss with my friend for her birthday, so we were not worried about time. As someone who has been in the industry for years, I have to give this guy mad props. He never seemed stressed and still stayed friendly, he had excellent time management and multitasking abilities. The food all tasted great, although weren't necessarily the same as described in the menu. Overall I would eat here again. I would not consider it a destination restaurant, as many I think drive here due to the theme and its really a restaurant with some eclectic decor.

    Very misleading atmosphere. It’s very small, the bar was coved in cleaning supplies and junk. The drinks were way too strong, and the charcuterie tray was cheap crap for $19. Didn't bother staying for an entree.

    The experience did not at all match what was advertised. The tea flavors are not the same as on the menu and the tea comes out of Meijer boxes that have just been purchased from the grocery store. Many of the pastries came out frozen and were not edible. The whole experience was extremely disappointing.

    Massive disappointment! You can tell this place already had its day in the light. Dust, torn fabric, and dingy feel to everything. Waited 30 minutes for an omelette and burger only to hear server talking with cook saying the stuff that comes out of the kitchen fast comes from the microwave. Ended up leaving after that and thankfully the place right next door was perfect to grab something fast and delicious. Huge insult to fans of the theme.

    Here in my food. Waiter rarely came around. I needed a different drink did not get it until after I got my meal. I ordered ice tea and never was able to get a refill because the waiter never came back. We were super excited to visit and left extremely disappointed.

    I cancelled this reservation. Place was empty, dirty, dark, not one customer in there. Never ate there. Left. It’s a dump. Not at all like any of their posted pics. No Alice an wonderland theme. Hours don’t match their website, Facebook etc. don’t waste yourvtime

    This place was a joke. Made a reservation, called and left a message confirming the tea party part of the reservation that they "didn't get". No biggie, ordered off the regular menu. Out of 4 or 5 cocktails, $20 charcuterie platter could've been made from GFS for five bucks. The worst part is the place is FILTHY. there are years worth of dust falling from the curtains and ceiling. Gross. Do not recommend

    Slow service. Horrible food for the price. We never saw our server and also needed refills of water badly. I brought two teens as this is suppose to be a fun place for them and it took for ever for her chicken tenders to come out and they looked disgusting. She was very unhappy. It was way overpriced for the total as well. I will never go back.

    Visited today for a double birthday brunch. Our server, Jason, was great!! Friendly, attentive, and made a perfect mimosa. Food was delicious. We all ordered different items and we all loved everything. I wish we had been able to sit downstairs because it’s more heavily themed and I am Alice in Wonderland obsessed. But it did not seem like they were seating that area at the time. All in all it was a great visit. I can’t wait to return!

    We had made reservations for 3:45 pm but did not get seated until 4:05. Very small dining area. Our server was very good. They were out of some basic items- like cream for coffee and ketchup. We had the cheese trap appetizer which was good and plenty for 3 people. We order the hamburgers and fries. The burgers were good, but I thought the potatoes were done a bit much. Very limited menu. Overall, not a bad place to go for a different dining experience.

    The Mad Hatter was amazing experience, Jason was an awesome waiter and very knowledgeable, he made our sangria flight which was tasty. We ordered a burger, potatoes, chicken and waffles all were really good. The ambience was nice but the restaurant was small, you should go for the experience.

    The food was rather good just not a big selection to choose from. We went for brunch, got the brunch burger with potatoes which was delish. Its small but cute and slightly Alice in Wonderland themed. Would go back and try their afternoon tea!

    I had great expectations from this place and was disappointed. There was only one server and about 8 sets of patrons so the service was super slow. The food took awhile and it was disgusting. We asked the waiter about replacing the food and he came back with the bill. We asked for the manager and he took 1 thing off the bill. Will not be returning.

    My expectations were so high and it was a very disappointing experience. The actual restaurant needs a deep cleaning and renovations upgrades in every area. The theme is amazing but it hasn't been updated ever or freshen up in forever...the food was nothing to taking about and the drinks well I wasn't impressed at all. Being a restaurant in downtown Birmingham should speak volumes of flavor and decorum and I'm to say it was not any of that at all...The staff was very nice but definitely needs fine tuning such as training, appearance, & hospitality, serve the server training, and even the hardware needs an upgrade from the front door to the kitchen to the cleaning personal...I would not suggest this place to anyone at the present time...my hopes is that this missive is reviewed and taken into consideration and some implementation not these things so that this place stay viable and profitable.

    We had amazing food in a fun and unique restaurant. We have been wanting to come for a couple of years (we live two hours away), and it was definitely worth the trip! Our server, Jason, was fantastic and the food could not have tasted better. We will be back!
