Loved my food as always at the Lyrebird, but the vegan main for my daughter was dissapointing. A surprise for such a good spot
The vegan starter was fantastic
In general we were disappointed in this return visit. Compared with two years ago the standard of high tea has fallen. There were fewer items and of inferior quality. For example the sandwiches were not fresh - the bread was hard.
We had a good night but the service was slow as you were very busy, even though we had a reservation. My husband had an entree and then we both had our mains after quite a wait. There was no time for dessert or even coffee. We have dined at Lyrebird numerous times and this is the first time this had happened to us. However, will try again with our next show.
Gracie's service was excellent, but the food was not palatable or well cooked.
The meal was one of the best I’ve had in Brisbane. Service 5 star on the night. A special way to kick off our theatre night.
I was disappointed that you do not stock Bacardi rum as that is all I drink.
Always eat at Lyrebird when friends and I go to Qpac and will continue to do so.
Lovely meal before a show and fabulous, friendly, efficient service.
The three of us had the John Dory fish and the fish was overcooked.
I took a friend there for High Tea Lunch before going to the Lyric theatre. The service was great, just right, Always when needed, but not intrusive. The food was delicious , the atmosphere just right for relaxing before the show, parking right underneath. I will certainly be going there again.
Service is always 100% and seamlessly works to ensure performance times are met. The menu is changed regularly; there is always a new choice. The food is outstanding. The menu is small which ensures all dishes are extremely well done.
Great meal went the $75 pp with vino and was lovely. Pork Belly was exceptional entree and had a sizeable duck for main. Quick food and lovely ambience excellent and classy
We truely appreciated a well cooked and very tasty meal. We become frustrated when we go out for a meal and come away thinking we could have cooked that better at home.
That was certainly no the comment from this experience. This is the second time we have dined here and the second time have had a beautiful experience.
Congratulations to the team.
Good service and good value for money and food was great
Fabulous food and a convenient way to dine before a show. We had the 3 courses with a glass of wine and couldn’t fault anything. Friendly & efficient service to ensure you make the show. This is our second time here and we’ll definitely be back.
Truly a unique dining experience. Not tied to the traditional formal dining, Rodney, our waiter, was very personable. Extending his service to accommodate our expectations off semi formal dining. All up, would recommend the Lyrebird to anyone who want to have a lovely quiet romantic dinner for two. Keep up the good work Rodney! Food was spectacular as well!
We have visited the Lyrebird on several occasions, generally before a show at the Lyric and always the matinee session, the Lyrebird is a perfect venue for us, serving a High Tea with a glass of wine followed by the show is the ideal day out.
Our high tea was lovely. Just the right amount of food, and the selection of food was perfect. The staff were all very welcoming and friendly, The decor and features of the restaurant were very relaxing. I would definitely go again and I have already recommended it to friends. Thank you.
Usually the food is good but on Saturday evening they had run out of oysters. Put a dampener on the whole meal. The service needs to be sharpened up. Dominique the MD is very good
We always enjoy our visits to the Lyrebird. The food and wine is of a superior quality and no tummy aches afterwards.
Great food and service, and they do an amazing job at catering to everyone in plenty of time for our various concerts and shows at QPAC.
Excellent restaurant for pre-concert dining.
Service very poor-Drinks served after main meal!!The Duck dinner was so underdone the red meat was disgusting. Quite embarrassing for me to entertain my southern visitors.
Great food, efficient service and friendly staff. The duck breast was delicious and reports on the steak were superb....
We had a very nice dinner at the restaurant last Friday, had 3 course meal, all dishes were very tasty and beautifully presented.
Service was quick, as restaurant was fully booked it was a bit loud but it didn’t bother us too much, we will be back next time for pre show meal.
Very nice food , staff knew the menu well and the wine list had some great options to suit your choice of food.
From the time you walked in and finished you felt welcomed.
We had the high tea and it was fantastic. The service was friendly and attentive. I would definitely go back
This restaurant targets theatre goers and is good at getting meals out quickly to ensure guests are not late for their show. It strives to be top end - and certainly has a top end price tag but it fails at so many levels.
The menu is very limited (only 4 choices) and when we ordered the fish minus the scallop which comes on top, we were told that this was too hard and to order something else.
we both then ordered the steak - one medium and the other medium rare. It was very obvious that the meals were mixed up and we both received the incorrect one.
the final insult was having to line up at a cash register in the middle of the restaurant to pay the bill - apparently paying at the table is not acceptable. I am happy to do this at the local bowls club or at Macca's - but at a top end restaurant I would expect a higher level of service.
Food was OK and we did get to the theatre on time
Great service and food, no ambiance unfortunately!! The decor needs some attention!!
After wanting to go here for years we finally made it. We weren't let down. The meal and service was sensational!! We'll be back when we next attend QPAC.
Brilliant food and service for pre show meal - will be back
Staff were incredibly accommodating. The food was excellent!
This is great location for a show however I think it’s slightly overpriced for what you get.
Lyrebird is a hidden gem. We are regular QPAC atendees but have not tried Lyrebird previously. Highly recommended! An excellent meal with drinks and service wonderful. We will be going again.
The al la carte menu is limiting and unfortunately the air conditioning was not working properly as where we were seated it was very warm. Would not sit along the back wall again for this very reason. The service was poor as we had to continually keep trying to attract waiters/waitresses to top up our beverages.
Dining with service and exceptional value. Perfect prelude to the musical.
Outstanding service and food to die for. Our experience could not be faulted and we will definitely be back!
I have dined at Lyrebird on several occasions now for a pre- theatre dinner. It cannot be beaten for convenience but more importantly I have found the food to be faultless. Combined with very attentive service and a nice wine list, it is always a memorable experience. I would thoroughly recommend this restaurant for any occasion and I look forward to my next visit.
Lovely food served quickly with a smile and wine selection was fine
Food is fantastic, great service and a quite atmosphere.
