   Service was welcoming, polite & very quick. Food was well presented. Noise level was not overbearing, the restaurant was filled with lots of ladies, chatting & heading to the theatre. So the noise for that night would be expected. Located perfectly for a QPAC show after dinner.

   As a regular, I found this latest dining experience quite disappointing. It was a Monday night and that might explain it. The print on the new menu was so small that I struggled to read it even with my reading glasses on. The main course meals, when they came, were poorly presented and were stodgy. The side of chips was overcooked and cold. We were left waiting 40 minutes between courses. This was not our usual Lyrebird experience and it left us to reflect on the many previous positive times at Lyrebird.

   Another wonderful high tea enjoyed for Mother's Day and a prelude before a play at QPAC. We love coming here. Always friendly service, tasty morsels (the best scones). What more could you ask?

   Lyrebird staff were very attentive and helpful. We have dietary restrictions and they were able to understand and modify the menu to suit. Service was quick . Food was excellent.

   Disappointing. This used to be a vibrant restaurant which was often difficult to get a booking at. Now it is half empty. The exciting food has degenerated into a second-rate pasta place. The service is still excellent but the menu is dull.

   The staff were very accommodating when we called to advise that we would be late due to traffic and parking issues. The convenience of the location was a major factor why we booked the Lyrebird. We have eaten there before, and the food was delicious. However, on Saturday night the food was definitely below par. The choices were poor. The prawn rolls were 'a sloppy and tasteless mess'. The barramundi was very ordinary and tasteless. I probably go to the Lyrebird again based on our experience of Saturday night.

   We had the high tea before the ballet matinee. It was raining so we were so pleased to be inside in a nice environment with good food and glass of bubbles. The food was plentiful and good quality. The service was excellent. A very enjoyable experience.

   It is always wonderful to enjoy a high tea at Lyrebird before a show at QPAC. Lovely selection of sweet and savoury items, bubbles, tea or coffee. What's not to like.

    I’ve experienced your hi-tea a number of times & twice this year alone. While I certainly believe it is value for money & the cloth tablecloths & serviettes + menu do add to that special experience. However, I believe there are a couple of areas which could be improved. The hi tea plate stand doesn’t graduate in size as do most. Therefore I would suggest finger sandwiches & savoury quiche on base, then scones etc -middle & top tier - sweets. The addition of paper doilies on the top tier may help to add to a more inviting appearance for the sweets. I didn’t mention the potatoe fried item as not one diner has enjoyed this. Instead a small cake could bee added to the sweets. A final touch would be the addition of a set of tongs for each platter - all adds to a very special experience.
