Lovely atmosphere and great food. Staff extremely professional and polite. Great way to start the day
Had to change our booking time by half an hour - no problem.
Wait staff were competent and friendly.
Food was good.
Food was excellent. We had 3 courses each and every dish was lovely. Service was excellent. Friendly and efficient. Have already recommended it to others
Have had the high tea there a few times now and I would like to see a change in what is provided. Sorry didn’t enjoy most of the high tea food.
As always, the food and service was wonderful. Two pieces of constructive feedback from this visit:
1. the cheese platter proportions were all wrong, for the amount of cheese there were not enough biscuits and too much of the accompaniments.
2. As regular diners (we have season tickets to both the ballet and the QSO each year) we would appreciate a more frequent change in menu. We love the food and wish to have the opportunity to try more dishes as opposed to eating the same meals again.
Very enjoyable pre-show dinner with friends. Great menu selection and lovely staff. We will return.
Our experience was as usual very enjoyable. We are regular visitors to the Lyrebird and will continue to be so.
Beautiful meal - we choose the two course with wine for $70 - I had the oysters and barramundi. Both were exceptional. The wine choices were great, and I will make sure we book here for dinner each time we are in there for a show. Also right next door to the Lyric Theatre. Perfect night with exceptional staff.
We dined at Lyrebird for the first time prior to going to a show. Our server, Gracie, was very friendly and helpful in making our choices. The food was amazing and the service so fast. We would definitely dine there again.
We dined before a show and had a wonderful experience. Though the menu was limited in choice the food was sensational. Staff very attentive and helpful. A great night thank you.
We booked lunch prior to going to a matinee performance of the jersey boys. The day was our Christmas present to two of our elderly relatives. On our early arrival we were advised by a very apologetic gentleman that the only lunch we could order was ‘high tea’. To say our elderly uncles were unimpressed was a gigantic understatement and disappointment as they had talked about it on and off for weeks as this was something that they had done together many times previously. It would have been a good idea to advertise the fact that high tea was the only option on the day.
Fresh delicious food. Beautiful presentation. Good service and attentive.
Thank you, we always enjoy the food and wine.
The menu is small, but the food is excellent.
An excellent start to an evening out at QPAC! We enjoyed a delicious 3 course meal, the service was prompt, attentive and unobtrusive. If you only have room for 2 courses, then make sure you have dessert!
We went to this restaurant before a show. We often do and the food was outstanding as usual. The person who looked after our table was Sally and she was brilliant. Highly recommend this restaurant.
Enjoyed our fantastic high tea
Great night out food and service awesome. We would highly recommend to dine here.
Dinner before show at QPAC. Waiter was excellent and food delicious.
Great food. Great value. Great service. Love going to Lyrebird before a QPAC show. Makes a good night out great.
I took my grandson for a special dinner at Lyrebird Restaurant on Saturday night for his 12th birthday before going to see The Illusionists. The meal was very good. We had steak which was perfectly cooked and desserts. I chose the lemon tart and I have to say that it was one of the most delicious desserts I have eaten in a long time. The meals were just the right size. We left feeling satiated but not over full.
Have dined here before maybe 18 months ago and much better then.
Sorry, our meals were certainly not up to the standard I was expecting this time ...
They only served High Tea at this particular time which was unexpected since opentable didn’t inform me at time of booking. One of the sandwiches was not pleasing - we think it was an over smoked chicken sandwich.....
Service was ok. It’s not the place I would go to if I purposely wanted a high tea experience though.
We were heading to see a show The Illusionist’ at QPac and decided to have an early dinner prior.
We were greeted by a friendly team member and taken to our table which we were then served by a very lovely your lady. She took the time to endure we were comfortable with our seating and our choices for dinner. She also took the time to know what show we were seeing in order for our meal to arrive on time. Which it did and was delicious.
Great food and service. Set menu has no financial benefit unless choosing most expensive options.
We always enjoy dining at Lyrebird prior to any show we see at QPAC. For us, it is a part of the whole "Theatre-going" experience. The food is always fabulous - fresh, seasonal, a little fancy and taste amazing. The atmosphere is what I like to call relaxed-formal. Perfect for the cultural evening we like to enjoy as one of our main forms of recreation. The staff are attentive and knowledgeable and willing to engage in conversation and do their part to have us out on time to see our show. We highly recommend the Lyrebird for any occasion and also for that "Somewhere Special".
Menu was interesting and tempting, wine selection complimented the menu. Service was very good and the wait staff were polished and attentive. Presentation of the courses showed artistic flair combined with superb matching of tastes and variety of the ingredients. Altogether a very enjoyable meal experience and up to the usual high standards of the Lyre Bird.
Great restrauant- service-food-location would recommend
Superbly cooked and beautiful presentation.
Service is top level .Im sure most diners go pre show at the theatres of SouthBank but would compete against any top restaurant for any occasion.
Although, I didn’t get a Choclate with my coffee,
Food was beautiful... duck was great. Crab salad pictured very nice. Drinks service a tad slow. Maître De excellent.
We enjoyed a delicious meal before the show! Fantastic customer service.
Surprisingly good. Detail to each dish was amazing, but best of all it was a taste sensation. I will come back and have told friends and family.
Dinner with friends before Qld. POPS Orchestra New Year’s Eve Concert at 9pm.
Open Table booking process easy and reliable.
Service is focussed on getting you to the Concert on time, without feeling rushed.
Attentive friendly service throughout.
Food choices and options excellent, well presented and delicious.
Set menu choices sensible and appreciated by the party.
Perfect spot for the occasion!
A very enjoyable evening meal. Service was excellent as was the quality of food & drinks. We didn’t feel at all hurried & all the staff were very efficient.
Impressed! Will definitely go back
We thoroughly enjoyed our pre show dinner at Lyrebird Restaurant making our whole outing outstanding.
Everything was perfect and we look forward to continue dining there in future.
Excellent service and high quality, delicious food. Everything we ordered from the menu was superb. Our waitress was lovely and very attentive. She made sure our food arrived at well timed intervals and asked us the starting time of the show we were booked to see. I highly recommend Lyrebird for anyone attending events at QPAC.
The set menu what great. We had an enjoyable meal with plenty of time befor the show.
I ticked that it was my birthday and the dessert that I ordered had a lighted candle on top. Just to let u know how this event is marked.
The service is closely allied to QPAC’s performance schedule and is first-rate. The menu is innovative and the food beautifully presented. The wine list is sufficiently good to make selection easy. Impressive wait staff.
We arrived early before a show and the service was faultless. We were served quickly and efficiently. We had the set menu and the food was lovely visually and in the eating.
