The restaurant has an appealing ambience, the tables are well spaced and the carpet provided adequate noise reduction. The food was excellent , it was both tasty and presented well.
The chips we ordered were thick, greasy and unappealing. The fish was well cooked and presented attractively.
The service was efficient and pleasant.
The High Tea was really good - good selection of god and well priced.
We had high tea prior to seeing a show at QPAC. The food was great, the service was exceptional and the price was real value for money. Will definitely be booking a high tea again.
We had a lovely overall experience dining here and particularly enjoyed the food and service. We will go back for sure.
Lyrebird 2 course dinner was excellent way to begin our theatre experience. Just perfect food and wine choices. Thankyou
I’d definitely recommend Lyrebird as a great dining option prior to a show. The food and service are fantastic, plus you can properly relax and enjoy it knowing they are in sync with the shows and only a few minutes walk.
Great food, interesting menu and wonderful service - attentive and friendly staff.
Venue is good being close to the theatres but the food is very average, like mass catering food. Probably will no bother again but go to one of the excellent restaurants out in Little Stanley street or similar.
LyreBird is a restaurant we enjoy time and time again. It is always delightful to start off a memorable evening there before a theatre visit. The food, staff and ambience is superlative.
Very beautiful food and the wait staff were wonderful and made a birthday so special!
Fantastic food, ready in plenty of time before start of show.
Great for a pre_performance meal. Quick service and food comes out quick. But that means that most entrees are preprepared and served straight from a fridge. (It seems)
The mains were definitely better.
The set menus were excellent value!
Always impressed with speed of service for theatre atendees, especially as we were late.
Definitely - excellent meal in pleasant surrounds and easily made our show. Will do it again (and great to use the bathroom without queueing as we would have to upstairs!)
Good value and fast turnaround. Perfect for a pre show dining experience.
Another lovely experience at Lyrebird. Ambiance, service and food, all perfect!
Yes, food was great. Had the set 3 course meal and it did not disappoint. I found this better value than going to other local restaurants.
This restaurant never fails to deliver great food and excellent service. When one has to be in and out so quickly to meet a show deadline start time, the staff ensure you are out in time without feeling hurried or rushed. I highly recommend the Lyrebird without hesitation.
Although we booked two days ahead we were taken to the back of the restaurant and had to insist on being given a front table. This should not have been necessary.
Great staff and service, however I don’t believe food quality matched the prices.
Prompt efficient service, our meal arrived quickly hot and beautifully presented; my husband and I were able to relax and enjoy our meal and a glass of wine (2) prior our show. A great way to wind down after a stressful week. Highly recommended, will definitely return.
Convivial service, nutritious and flavoursome cuisine, and respectful of time constraints. Bravo!
Worked well as a pre dinner for the ballet, quick but not rushed - enjoyable meal
The staff were attentive but not overboard, our waiter was friendly and very good. Even though we has to order and eat quickly, we didn't feel rushed. The pate in the chicken terrine entrée is AMAZING!!!! The dark rye bread rolls were also delicious. Will definitely be back.
Beautifully presented & tasting food. Very convenient location for shows
The service was excellent. We had no trouble making our show.
We both had the steak which was tasty but it was a bit chewy. The vegetables were crisp and crunchy and the pea puree was good. The bread rolls were fresh and warm and of good quality. My husband had the affogato for dessert and said it was excellent.
We enjoyed the restaurant but do think it is rather expensive.
I have been to the Lyrebird restaurant many times and have always been delighted by the service, the quality of the food and the value. It’s the perfect place to eat if you’re seeing a show.
Great hard working and accommodating staff for pre theatre meals. Menu a little limited in variety. Food tasty and well presented though a little on the expensive side.
The service was excellent and our meal was fresh and beautiful. It was a great start to our evening and the staff made sure we made it to the Theatre on time. Roslyn
Definatly the best choice before QPAC show. Food was very nice and staff know to accommodate show times.
Delicious meals. a better selection of wines would make our experience more pleasant. service was professional.
We had booked for a 5pm reservation after the theatre. When we arrived we were placed right in front of the wait staff service area which immediately put a damper on thing. Service would have been 'average' except for Nick who ensured our glasses were filled and our menu questions were answered... Nick was not our designated waiter staff.
BUT....The food was exceptional! Was not disappointed at all. We would recommend this place and go back! (But request a better table!)
Thoroughly enjoyed the set menu. Great choices. Service was very friendly quick and efficient. Will come again.
The Lyrebird is an ideal venue for an early meal before a concert at QPAC. Staff were extremely obliging and the food was excellent.
Service was friendly and efficient. Food was excellent - Barramundi and Duck for mains and lemon curd for desert. A great place to catch up with friends before attending a concert at QPAC.
Perfect for pre concert meal. So quiet and peaceful ( and Cool!) service is fast and food delicious and well prepared. Vent better if you are a QPAC member and get a discount,
It was lovely. A nice surprise to find such a well run restaurant attached to a Theatre.
Great food and service on Monday night at Lyrebird. We enjoyed a preshow meal, utterly delicious, with equally delicious wine. Great service, warm bread rolls, 2 courses, and out in an hour in time for our concert, we were very pleased! We shall return...
I took my friend to Lyrebird for her 87th birthday followed by the Wynton Marsalis concert. The meal was a great introduction to a wonderful evening.I had the duck as a main course and it was succulent and perfectly seasoned. We both had The panettone which was scrumptious. Thank you for a wonderful meal.
