Within a beautiful Subiaco heritage building, a new neighbourhood wine bar has entered the scene on Hay Street. In the 1920s, the building was home to a provisions merchant owned by husband and wife Emily and Charles Lums. Their shop, EA Lums & Co, was a place for locals to grab quality ingredients from a family-owned shop.

With the appointment of Nick Young as Head Chef, Lums offers a brand new, vino-friendly food offering.

Nick’s resume boasts a wonderful mix of fine dining and funky neighbourhood eateries including Wildflower, Must, Bivouac and Lallah Rookh. With extensive time spent working in rural luxury resorts and Margaret River wineries, Nick brings a passion for fresh, local produce, heirloom varieties, preserving and fermentation.

We were very well looked after by our wait staff. With so many delicious dishes on the menu we couldn't decide what to order and requested they order for us. Every single dish was absolutely delicious and plentiful. Our main waiter was very patient with us and found him to be very personable and professional. I will definitely be recommending to my friends and family and look forward to returning again soon!!!

Staff were welcoming and attentive. Food was fantastic and great value for money. Will definitely return to try more dishes on the menu.

Thank you for a great experience. Our booking was from 5.30pm until 7.15pm but they waitress was so accomodating and organsied another table for us so we could stay a bit longer. The food, atmosphere and staff were fantastic. Would definitely recommend.

The food and wine that we got was good , however we thought that for the amount we had paid for the meal and considering we had to book and give our card details to hold the table , I thought that we would of at least get table service. We had also ordered dessert and after going to the bar , ordering and paying we where later told that we where given the wrong menu and they no longer done the dessert we ordered so they give us a refund. As I noted the food and wine we got was good , however as we have two young kids and this was the first date night my wife and I had in about two years , we thought the whole experience could of been better.
