Lucy Liu Restaurant
Blurring the lines between diverse cuisines, the menu serves up both street and refined, modern Asian food that breaks with tradition and has flavour at its core. Executive Chef and co-owner, Zac Cribbes, advocates both Thai and Chinese flavours, both playing a huge role in the bold and enticing menu.
The Lucy Liu experience was created to be fun, exciting and accessible for all. From office workers enjoying a lunch-time get-together, a special occasion celebrated in the private dining room, an intimate dinner-for-two, or a group of friends sharing a table amongst the buzzing crowd, every experience is honed to meet the occasion.

Great service and delicious food!
The kindest staff, the best food, a great experience overall!
Excellent lunchtime spend with my wife. Second time here and everything was still exceptional. We shared pescatarian small plates. Even the humble cauliflower dish was amazing. Dumplings were great. Soft shell crab wrap unreal. Service was exceptional With recommendations from friendly, perky staff. Noise level is low which is surprising for a large space but thanks to the wooden wall coverings you can have an intimate conversation. Highly recommend for couples or business.
Lucy Liu never disappoints. The food is exceptional, ambience, service and cocktails all 10/10, the coconut Mojito is to die for. We especially love the open kitchen. This has become our favourite city restaurant for a special occasion.
Fabulous food and great service! We chose lots of the seafood options and they were very tasty. At times the music was a bit loud but not too bad. The wait staff were very helpful and friendly as well. I can highly recommend Lucy Liu!
It was our first time there and we really enjoyed the food - there wasn’t a dish we didn’t like!! The service was fantastic and our waiter reminded us of the Melbourne Money, so we were able to get some money back! They also found out what we were celebrating and we incredibly friendly and lovely. They were also accommodating to our food preferences and even gave us an extra dish so no one missed out. Had a fantastic time and we will 100% be going back!
Very helpful friendly staff and amazing food. Great portions for the 7 plate feast.
In such uncertain times, the Lucy Liu experience was again exceptional with a specific call out with the food and the staff. The team are always amazing and lots of fun.
Overall we had a fabulous time. I just think the food was a little expensive for what it was. Very very tasty, but we spent 170$ and I’ve spent that at similar places and left a lot fuller.
Great selection of dishes. Terrific service. Loved it
The food was delicious , the staff were friendly and obliging, the music was a touch to loud, overall, it was a fabulous experience, thank you Lucy Lui
Food great as always, service not overly friendly.
This is truly an experience, every dish was exquisite and hard to pick a favorite.
Delicious and staff were excellent Loved the decor!
Not that I expect something for free but we were there to celebrity an anniversary and other locations have always marked it in some small way to make us feel special. No such treatment at Lucy Liu which I think is a shame
We ordered a heap of the smaller items to share, food was so tasty and so many delicious things to try! waiters were a ball of laughs too, cocktail jugs are a must!
Great food and the service was incredible. Can’t wait to go back :)
My partner and I enjoyed a perfect date night at Lucy Liu.
The food was exquisite and Emily’s service was warm, engaging and knowledgeable.
We loved the experience and will definitely be back.

After confirming the booking time, I then received a call telling me that I had to change the booking time.
The food and quantity were both average.
Was excited about going, but was under whelmed by the whole experience.
The barramundi and scampi wontons are easily the best dumplings I’ve ever had! Great food and a really great vibe. Will be looking forward to coming back!
We loved our dinner at Lucy Liu. The food was exceptionally good, and the service was amazing. The background music was loud enough to hear, but soft enough so we could talk. This place has a great vibe. We will definitely return.
Had the Vegan Lucy and highly recommend! Staff were great
Loved the food except the banana fritter- great waiter.
Food had all of the right flavours, but somehow seemed next level.
There is no fault in the service, nor in the attention to detail.
It was the "night before lockdown" (No.4) so perhaps the ambience was sprinkled with feeding frenzied revellers having fun before the 7-day famine, but it all added up a one very tasty and entertaining time.
Amazing service and scrumptious food! Absolutely loved our experience at Lucy Lui and will definitely be returning!
Some of the dishes we tried were godd whilst others were amazing.
Wait staff were attentive and informative.
What we didn't like was the close proximity of other diners. Sitting almost on top of each other during a pandemic is not our idea of feeling safe.
The 5 Plate menu is great value. Everyone in our group are already making plans to visit again soon.
Fabulous setting and dining experience. The food was tasty and not rushed. The cocktails are a highlight.
The food was ok, though my entree never arrived and main dish was only lukewarm by the time the plate made it to our table. The service was incredibly poor. Our wine did not turn up until we were halfway through the main meal. When we finally got some attention from one of the waiting staff, he said he'd look into what happened to my entree, but then I heard nothing further. Dinner guests sitting at the table next to us had no trouble getting attention - there was high quality flirting action going on and their orders seem to arrive promptly. It's a thumbs down for Lucy Liu - which is a real shame as I used to like dining at this place.
I’ve always enjoyed the ambience at Lucy Liu but Monday night was particularly busy and we were seated so close to another table there was no privacy during conversations. The food portions were much smaller than a few months ago for the 5 or 7 plate option. My friend had a nut allergy but they accidentally brought out a dish with nuts. The drinks were a reasonable size for the price. We had a cocktail and wine and both were good. Service however was poor and we waited a very long time to have our orders taken and there was a long wait between courses. I would go again but not on Monday night.
The whole night was amazing. The food, atmosphere, waiters/waitresses were incredible. the whole night was an experience and couldn't recommend it more. It was me and my partners anniversary and they made the whole night so special and all the staff were so welcoming and so helpful with making great recommendations on food and drinks
Lovely Asian fusion food. Great for sharing with friends and families. Great decor. Nice ambiance. Attentive staff. Will be back again
Fabulous food, staff, drinks. Loved it and will be back.
My husband and I booked well in advance for Lucy Lou for our wedding anniversary, we adore Asian fusion, service was amazing, drinks great, tables squished in, we were very close to other diners and it was not intimate but you put up with it for the good food, however that’s what let us down, we couldn’t decide what we wanted off the menu as it all sounded great so we chose the set menu, it started off well, the Thai beef salad packed flavour, but then it all went down hill, one of the dishes served was a deep fried chicken wing with kewpie Mayo, like literally no flavour on the chicken wing it was plainly fried with a plain kewpie mayo, you go to these type of places as you expect flavour and punch and we didn’t get that. The waitstaff tried to make it up to us with free drinks but we opted to go without as we were full but not satisfied and just wanted to go. The kitchen really let down the place that night…
Everything about Lucy Lui is amazing
Food is always spectacular and mouth watering
Great food, beautifully prepared and served. Will be back for sure.
Visited for a long lazy weekend lunch and was not disappointed. Delicious food with great flavour and a bit of kick! The service staff were very friendly and extremely helpful and attentive. And a great sound track playing in the background. Well worth a visit.
Was very good a bit rush but overall happy with the night and will return based on the quality of food.
Soundtrack so loud that conversation was almost impossible; service desultory, food good but not exceptionally so...
