Lucy Liu Restaurant
Take a journey through Southeast Asian cuisine sampling hot, sour, salty and sweet plates like a Sticky Braised Pork Belly with Red Chilli and Coconut Salad or a Slow Roasted Short Rib Rendang with Turmeric Pickles and Sambal. Match these with fresh and fruity cocktails in our bar while you wait for your casual table to be ready or sit down with a Coconut Mojito on arrival. Minutes from the MCG, Rod Laver Arena and right in the heart of Melbourne Lucy Liu’s great for any occasion.
Great food & lots of it. Tasty & enjoyable! Will be back for more! Thanks for the great night.
Incredible food with varied menu. Would happily dine here again!!
The kingfish sashimi and Korean bbq chicken bun were stand out dishes! Definitely come back
First time diner, I will definitely be back and raving about Lucy Liu to all my family and friends. Great good and awesome overall vibe
OMG insane food. Can you please come to Sydney, preferably Manly and set up here? We need you! Your king fish was divine! Love Love and more Love x
An outstanding delicious meal
Incredible attentive service
Absolutely loved it
Favourite place in Melbourne
Love the food at Lucy Lui which is why I will always go back. But I have had the same waitress the last two times That I have been and she lets the place down. Extremely moody and rude.
Also I think you need to change the seating times from 1.5hrs to 2hr sessions. By the time you sit down at your table, order a drink and look at the menu you only really have under 1hr to eat and it has felt extremely rushed. Our waitress on this visit told us we had the table until 9.30 and then told us we had to leave at 9.10.... not ideal.
Food was nice but too rich for Asian food. The waiter we had was rough and too pushy selling alcohol.
Lucy Liu was a great experience- the booking system was easy and prompt! The food was delicious and the length of waiting time between dishes was perfect. The service was excellent and wait staff knew all the finer details about the food and wine. A very worthwhile experience!
Our flight was delayed, but we managed to get there by 10.30pm and ordered the "Let Lucy Choose" which was fabulous, as the food just kept arriving. Our server was really lovely and didn't make us feel rushed, even when the kitchen was closing, making sure we had enough cocktails and could order dessert is we wanted. Food was really delicious, the steamed fish was so so lovely and the prawn green papaya salad was a stand out. Amazing cocktails too - the floating market was heavenly!
I brought a work colleague from NZ who had never been before and we were both blown away by the amazing food and service. The sommelier was excellent and did a brilliant job of matching our wine to our food, and the food was so fresh and tasty. It's my third time here and I'll be back!
Love this restaurant! Our 4th visit, and had a fabulous time as always!
Such a wonderful place to eat some amazing food. Just disappointing how noisy it is. But not enough to keep me away
Absolutely loved it here! Loved the entrance walking in and every dish we ordered we really loved and enjoyed. Flavours were delicious!
The waiter ordered food that we didn't even ask for it, very poor customer service
Food was good ok except for the soft shell crab Jianbing pancake roll, they had put so much spicy hoi sin sauce they the pancake fell apart and felt slimy and over powering. It was such a disappointment as I had this dish last time I was there and it was wonderful. Also the wait staff didn't really communicate much with quantity they were bringing out. Food was dumped on our table without a word description and or asked after our meal how was it.
We all very much enjoyed service food noise level a bit high but otherwise always a gr8 place 2 enjoy excellent food & service
Our second time there and we loved it! We were super late and they still found a spot for us in the bar. Great service and amazing food as per usual.
Loved the food and selection...this was our third visit...only one thing a little disappointing was the rare breed pork belly it was not as crispy as it had been on other occasions and the size of one piece was small compared to the other 3. Thanks!
I’ve lost count of how many times I’ve eaten at Lucy Liu’s. Likely this is because every experience I’ve had there has been incredible and my memories have all merged into 1 almighty sensory delight!!
Quality meal with knowledgable attentive service, vibrant chill out place with a young clientele....recommend....!
Lovely restaurant, food was amazing, staff excellent and although the music was pumping you could talk fine. They have beautiful 3D placemats which they sell for $20 - I thought that was a bit steep - which was a shame as I would have liked one.
We sat in a booth and it was great! Our waiter interacted with us perfectly, sharing knowledge of the food and drinks menu and helping us select a wonderful Dr Loosen Riesling which we loved. We loved the private feel of the both but at the same time feeling part of the restaurant that is Lucy Liu.
Great night out and certainly some of the best food I have ever tasted! Cocktail list could expand a little but they were happy to make cocktails upon request. Definitely recommend for a great group night out or suit a nice couples dinner also!
Really good food and great customer service. Very happy with the experience
Great food and service. We have been here twice now and we can't wait to return
This is one of the view few opportunities I have to eat restaurant Asian food - particularly spicy prawn dumplings - on a FODMAP diet, so I love them for that.
The vibe was great but the food was a little underwhelming compared to my last visit.
Most of the dishes were delicious. The noodle salad was way too hot for us. The barramundi and slow cooked lamb both highlights. The noise levels insane and the music ugly.
Food was great, definitely go back again. Hard to pick a favourite dish. Possibly the soft shell crab pancakes. It would be nice though to be able to stay longer than 1.45hours.
Dined here at lunch time and often I have difficulty eating out due to allergies to gluten, onion and garlic but this was not the case at Lucy Liu. The staff were very informed about the menu and were able to advise what options I could have. Happy to say the dishes required minimal alteration which was also great - they were packed with flavour instead of a bland alternative which is what I usually get. Will dine here again!
I think it is crowded seating and a quick turn around. I feel the pricing is quite high and at odds with the crowded seating and 1 hour 45 minute expectation to eat & go.
Our waiter was not very pleasant overall.
We did not get one of our dishes and when we queried that - he argued with us, saying 'you did not order that'. We couldn't believe our ears - he definitely did not subscribe to the customer is always right school! The food was delicious and it wasn't TOO noisy, although it was getting up there by the time we left.
I guess I would recommend people go there but I would mention the noise and the very obvious time constraints put on your dining.
Overall pretty good- one course had chili +++ which rather ruined the flavours and taste of wine. I’m not averse to chilies.
Lucy Liu was absolutley outstanding, we had a group of 12 and everyone had a great time.
The food and service was outstanding, the atmoshphere was absolutley fantastic, loved the music, the whole place was buzzing. We did the 7 course set menu and it was perfect, the right ammount of food, a great mix of flavours and excellent value for money, has a great wine list too.
Will definitley be back.
Service was outstanding. Only lost a few points because the rice was over cooked
Loved this food the soft shell crab pancake rolls, trout salad with crispy rice, and turmeric cauliflower were outstanding. My only disappointment was the Thai fish cakes. They did not have much flavor like I am used to eating. However the rest of the food was so great that I quickly got over any disappointment.
The wait staff we had wasn’t very patient with accomodating my food allergy... all other staff and the overall experience was great though!
Love it - would like more vege options as I've worked my way through the options to date.
