The food was delicious with friendly service. We were disappointed to be seated where each time the door was opened it was quite cold on us.
We loved our visit to Lucy Liu!
From the moment we walked down the alleyway, the adventure began. The entrance was cool and the staff were welcoming. We were a little late for our booking, but it was no problem.
The service from our waiter was impeccable. He was helpful and attentive, helping us with our food order and ensuring our water glasses were always topped up.
The food!! ❤️ We ordered prawn dumplings, Peking duck dumpling, pork buns & the beef ribs with randang curry. The food arrived quickly at our table, which we appreciated as we had a concert to attend. The quality of our meals were amazing. The food was fresh, perfectly cooked and tasted absolutely divine.
Thank you to all of the staff at Lucy Liu for a wonderful dining experience! We look forward to returning soon.
Good food. Prompt service. A great spot for fresh Asian tastes.
Great service with reasonable price range of food.
The food is outstanding! So delicious! The service was also incredible! Highly recommend!
The savory and hot food left a bit to be desired. Too many customers being pumped through at certain hours to get a great dining experience.
Second time there and it didn’t disappoint. Tried different food this time but couldn’t help but get the Korean chicken bao again! So good. It was the first time for the other 3 in the party and they loved it. Every dish was packed full of flavour. I’ll definitely go back again.
Excellent service, food was amazing, we ordered the set menu (we got a good selection of food) 1 person was gluten free and staff brought out a separate dish for this person.
I absolutely love this restaurant, however I have to be honest this experience was not the best. Unfortunately I was also with my client from Sydney and wanted to show off one of the best restaurants in Melbourne and while the food and wine was at it's usual amazing standard the service was so poor :(
I had to constantly look to find the waitress and gain her attention to take our order, clear plates and ask if we wanted anything else.
Great food, great service. Awesome venue. Will def be back.
We had an 8.30 dinner early in the week and it was comfortably busy. Of the 4 of us only two were hungry so small plates were a good choice for the other 2. This is a good spot for an interesting Asian menu, and suits appetites of all sizes, with many small plate choices in addition to larger dishes. The ambience is buzzy and busy. Service was good though dishes didn't arrive in the requested order. We will come again.
We had heard goods things about the restaurant from some friend and decided to go for lunch. The whole group enjoyed the surroundings, the service and needless to say the food. We would recommend Lucy Liu's as a great place to meet friends, have some great tasting food, in a good atmosphere.
Pat & Row and |Friends
Great place, service was amazing and friendly. Food as always is top shelf YUM but a special mention of the Bao Chicken Buns (a Must!). Music was a little lady with tables close together but overall, I am a massive fan.
Incredible good. Love this place.
Those visiting Melb should put this place on their to do list!
Longstanding Melbourne lunch spot; good food and atmosphere.
Hate to say this, but this will be our last visit to Lucy Lius.
Having been a Lucy Lius lover for many years taking anyone that visited us to the restaurant .. the last couple of times has been less than extraordinary. Average at best.
Service was great .. it was just the average food.
Thank you for a great many years Lucy, but unfortunately we will move on to a restaurant offering what you used to... (and there are 100s within walking distance of you......
I was suprised that we could get in on short notice on Grand Final weekend, but now it makes sense....
Cocktails were really great. Small bites we ordered were also very good. Was disappointed with the pork hock afterwards.
I would still recomend this place. Just not that dish.
Love this place! Super quick service, knowledgeable and friendly staff. Delicious food
Excellent food & service. Great value for money & excellent variety of dishes.
a quick but awesome visit to Lucy Liu ....l'll linger longer and eat more delicious LL dishes next time!
First time visit after recommendation and yummo, great food, friendly informative service as fun venue. Will be back for sure 😃
Amazing friendly intuitive service with popping menu - can’t go wrong!
From the service to the food we found it went above expectations. The flavours hit the spot on all dishes. Rendang curry a standout as were the dumplings. Enjoyed the theatre of choosing a few dishes and sharing. Brilliant night out.
Great restaurant with a good vibe, drinks menu and sensational tasty food. Took my wife here to celebrate her birthday and she loved the food and the cool ambience. Definitely will come back again.
Food delicious, cocktails fabulous, vibe on point!
We were so excited about dining here for the first time - but were disappointed with our server from the minute we sat down.
She was rude, detached & seemed almost annoyed with having to serve us!
The food was fine but given the amazing choices on offer in Melbourne I sadly wouldn’t recommend Lucy Liu to anyone.
I hate to say this but there are far better options available in the same neighbourhood.
Loved Lucy Liu's - my boyfriend and I were down in Melbourne from Sydney and ate a lot of nice food but Lucy Liu's was the absolute highlight! Food was amazing, bar was excellent with great cocktails and service amazing and friendly! loved the vibe as well!
Red florescent lighting down entranceway makes for city chic arrival at Lucy Lui and we’ll prepared cocktails hit the mark while we waited for our table. Memorable Asian menu means we will return. Great value, super delicious!
Everything was great but we were given the bill with 'optional' $70 tip already added! Make sure you check what you're paying, before just swiping your card. Happy to tip but that was cheeky.
Fabulous Asian Fusion Cuisine.
Lychee Martini is one of their Signature Drinks. Waitress was fantastic, especially pointing out the dishes for myself who is a Celiac .
Love this Restaurant.
The only downside to eating here was that my partner and I were too absorbed by the food to converse. Fantastic Experience.
Great food and super service. Our waitress was lovely and happily answered our questions and gave menu advice.
The food was fantastic, the service was perfect, professional and not over the top and the place had plenty of atmosphere. Highly recommend it!
I have been a number of times and every time has been fantastic.
This visit for my daughters 16th birthday however I was very unhappy.
The service was slow and lacking, waitress took the wrong order and took away the food when it wasn't even finished.
Overall was really unhappy with the experience seeing as I talked it up to all the people who came to the birthday.
I have been to Lucy Liu quite a few times and love it, however this time the service was very slow. We ordered drinks they took after 15 minutes to arrive. I then ordered a second drink, waited again around 15-20 mins asked where it was and was then told the order hadn’t been placed. The food was amazing but this time my visit was let down by slow and poor service
We love this restaurant....fresh, interesting, healthy and tasty food.
Only thing I don't like is sometimes you are seated at a table where to get past the next table you have to stand on tippy toe and shimmy by so you don't touch or knock anything off!
No excuse to not have walking space between tables.
The food is amazing and the staff are lovely. It was nice to have a drink at the bar before our table was ready. All was perfection!
Fantastic food, excellent service. The food was delicious, my favourite was the barramundi and scampi dumplings but everything was delicious really
Great food and a good vibe. We expected a little more from the cocktails but the wine list was cool.
