We always enjoy a relaxed lunch at this restaurant. The Fish Pie was very good and so was the service and wine.
I would sell my kidneys for more of their Octopus. Quick and friendly service. Awesome seafood and wine.
Food & Service was second to none. Can't wait to return..
Wonderful to be dining out again - with fabulous food, friendly service and a meal to remember. Thank you.
Great customer service with very attentive and accommodating wait staff. Fish and oysters were fresh and tasty and the side dishes delicious
Sadly the fish for my husband & our friend was over cooked & dry. I had the salmon fillet which was nice but nothing exciting
The staff were very nice & friendly
This is my third time here with friends and my dining experience has always been excellent. The staff are attentive and friendly. The food is beautiful and I love coming to your restaurant.
The food looks attractive and delicious but taste average; attentive service
Looking forward to the return of the banquet menu!
Always enjoy the food and wine and the service is always happy and friendly
I love LOVE FISH! I’ve been back here many times and will be back again. The location is great, the ambience is exciting and the service is always perfect - attentive but not invasive. The staff are always friendly and professional.
And the FOOD! Always so fresh and tasty. Always beautifully presented. This time, I had the fish cakes as an entree and barramundi as a main. As always, I had the Brussel Sprouts as a side order - they are fantastic! Forget everything you thought about Brussel Sprouts as kid (or as an adult), this is how they should be cooked. Flash fried with caramelised carrot and black bean - to die for!
What are you waiting for? Book now!
Just thought it was really average!! Nice place though - wouldn’t go back.
We have been eating at love.fish for years and love it - so much so - that we followed it to Barangaroo from it's original home!
We have shared meals there with our family (including children), taken friends there with us and had 'date nights'. Every time we have dined there we couldn't fault the experiences. The reason we have revisited so many times is that the concept is simple - fresh, wholesome food, with a menu that has the steady popular dishes, with daily specials and fish available to match the time - so depending on our mood we can try something different or stick to a moorish dish like the brussell sprouts!
The owner has chatted with us a number of times and engaged with our children which surprises me for a restaurant owner - as we are just regular people on the street and not locals that she knows.
We had a date night at Barangaroo and I was apprehensive that the things we like about love.fish will be lost in such a venue - however I was surprised. They have managed to keep the aspects I enjoy about the place, but upscaled only in terms of space, more staff of course and a more comfortable atmosphere. It looks sleeker than the old venue which was really small - although it was cosy and we did like that at times, but sometimes we couldn't get a table as it was full.
When we arrived at Barangaroo I was shocked to see the owner having a family meal in the restaurant! She evened acknowledged us with a smile and Hi when we walked past. This showed us that she is still very much part of the restaurant, the food is good enough for her family that they eat there and it hasn't lost the family / simple appeal that we enjoy.
We are glad they have survived the pandemic so far and are still open!
South Australian King George Whiting was superb - fresh and full of flavour.
Service was courteous and efficient
Overall a great experience
From the moment you walk in, staff are super friendly and accomodating to the best of their ability. They don't pressure you into buying items you don't want or upselling. Staff make the experience comforting and food is incredible, I cannot wait to come back again. The flickering light on the desk needed new batteries or fixed which was a bit annoying but really nice idea for lighting, good social distance spacing between tables too.
I definitely want to come back again with more people. This is now one of my favourite restaurants.
Love Fish is one of my favourite restaurants in Barangaroo. Fabulous location, beautiful fresh food, some great cocktails and attentive service. Great place for a business lunch, family get together or romantic date!
Simple ingredients, beautifully cooked. Attentive, friendly service. Consistently satisfying dining experience!
Amazing food loved the Banoffie it’s a must!! The service was excellent would definitely recommend!!
We had lunch on Sunday at Love Fish and was delicious.
My wife had the Moon Fish stew which she thought was superb and I had the grilled grilled King Dory Fillets which were nice. The service was very good, the staff were helpful and knowledgeable of the menu. I would certainly recommend Love Fish.
Always great fresh seafood and friendly relaxed service. Was the first restaurant on our list to revisit after lockdown.
Glad to be back
Fish was bland, tasted like it had been boiled rather than grilled.
Twice cooked chips were grey and far from crunchy and tasted like they had been cooked in old oil.
Salmon cakes were ok but mostly tasted like onion.
Brussel sprouts were good but most were undercooked and hard in the middle.
We really enjoyed the food on our first visit. This restaurant is on the water and is within a line of other restaurants that are divided by clear curtains rather than a full stand alone "dining room." It's a really fun vibe and the staff was lovely, welcoming, and helpful from start to finish.
Went to Love.Fish on Saturday to begin 70th birthday celebrations for my mum. The attention of the waitstaff and food were excellent and we had a lovely lunch. Oysters, NZ Dory and the brussel sprouts were brilliant! Thank you for a great experience. We'll be back!
The service was great and it was surprisingly warm outside under the heater.
Great place for a Sunday lunch , the service is great and nothing is a problem
We eat here several times a year, and it's our go-to when friends come to visit. So happy to see the reopening, it's such a special place.
Our first post Covid 19 meal out and came here as it’s a fave, great food, service and ambience for the price. Never lets us down.
If you love fish then love fish is the place for you
Fabulous 60th birthday celebration!! Attentive staff, great menu choices, terrific day on the Bay!! Thank you David and the team!!
Amazing food and great service. Have gone to Love.Fish multiple times and have never been disappointed.
Excellent as it was before Covid lockdown. Fell in love again
If you love good food, look no further than LOVE.FISH
Great food, great service, great place!
Love.fish was a great dining experience when we went there for a family birthday lunch. The staff were very helpful and the service was great. The food was delicious, for it's price we wouldn't recommend the seafood platter as we felt it didn't have as much as other restaurants sea food platters however every other dish we got was fantastic. We got the brussel sprouts side dish after reading a review and so glad we did. They are delicious and are a must try! They also catered for everyone and had a vegan special and a vegan dessert which were both great.
The food was excellent especially their salads, the brussel sprouts was a stand out and the baby spinach & slaw was also good.
Our Margaret Rivers Savignon Blanc was excellent.
Staff were friendly & helpful 👌👌👌
Great service and friendly staff Oysters amazing out door setting pleasent.
The staff were very lovely and knowledgeable on the menu. I couldn’t get the food in my mouth fast enough it was that tasty and fresh. I would definitely return :-)
Thanks so much Holli!
Really enjoyed our meal here. Compared to some of the louder places along the water, we appreciated the quieter atmosphere and nice spacing between tables. The prices, food and service were just right for us, and we could enjoy a nice view and conversation without shouting at each other.
Thanks Peggy for the fantastic review!
Set menu was an excellent option for our group and they accommodated my dietary restrictions well.
Hey Sarah. Thank you for taking the time to review us! We're so pleased to hear you and your group enjoyed our delicious and fresh set menu. We hope you'll pay us another visit soon!
We thoroughly enjoyed dining at Love Fish.
The wine pricing is rather expensive which limits the amount ordered.
Hey Peter. Thanks for taking the time to share your feedback! Please note the majority of our wine is locally sourced and sustainable from Australian suppliers which often means it is more expensive, but you can sip away knowing you are supporting Australian small businesses, which to us is of prime importance.
We had the barramundi, the Brussels sprouts and the hand cut chips. All were excellent. The skin on the fish was perfectly crisp while the fish was still incredibly moist. Perfectly cooked.
Thanks for the 5-star review Frank! We're so pleased to hear you enjoyed our fresh Barramundi and our crispy brussel spouts and chips. We hope you'll be back soon!
Well located with a very pleasant outlook and, more importantly, excellent food, good winelist and friendly staff. Also excellent value.
Thanks Robert for the lovely 5-star review!
