love.fish - Barangaroo
Even the bar gets the love.fish philosophy - with a real focus on locally sourced, organic wines and a completely Australian back bar."
Great food with a nice outlook. The flathead was particularly good. The service could be improved but the food itself was great.
Consistently good. We are regular diners and love the food and atmosphere. The chefs are very open to changing something to your liking which is amazing. We were very lucky yesterday to have scallops in a beurre blanc sauce specially made for us. It's a winner for sure and would love to see it on the menu.
I recommend Love. fish - Barangaroo to anyone I meet who says they enjoy eating fish!
Barangaroo is fun
Beautiful food and attentive service in a lovely setting,
The service was great as was the atmosphere. Baramundi was beautifully cooked however the polenta chips weren't as tasty as I expected however wasn't too bad. Brussell Sprouts were a hit.
This was our second visit to love.fish and we were really looking forward to their lentil side dish, unfortunately it had an odd taste as if something had gone off. Mentioned it to waiting staff and they removed it from the table but not from our bill. The manager said that it was prepared from fresh ingredients. An adjacent table didn't finish their lentil side either. However the fish of the day (trout) was excellent. Other than the lentil side, their food was very good.
A little disappointed that we had to ask to get a waterfront table after putting that in as a request at the time of booking. Apart from that it was our 3rd visit and the food was superb! The chef is exemplary at presentings to a brilliant stamdard. Smoked trout was divine as was the squid. Always fantastic food and fabulous wine selection!!!!
delicious food in a nice setting, would definitely recommend to others. service was good and attentive too.
The staff was very helpful and friendly. Service was quick. They have a wide range of fish dishes. Would go back to try a few more dishes. The garfish was not spectacular. However, the other dishes looked good and would give them a try.
Service excellent, food delicious, wine/beer very nice
Excellent fresh seafood. The fish was particularly good and well cooked. Service was both professional and friendly. Wine is a little pricey but probably consistent with the location.
Definitely worth a visit. We will certainly go back.
Quality ingredients served simply but beautifully cooked. The service is attentive but not overpowering. The range of drinks and wines are also extensive and unusual in a number of cases.
for those int he party that are not overtly fish orientated there are other proteins such as kangaroo, Lamb and Steak not to mention salads and side dishes galore. The desserts are pretty but can be a bit challenging such as blue cheese cheesecake.
Love.fish needs to up its game. We reserved a table in advance on a slow post-holiday Tuesday night, so there’s no excuse for their totally missing our bread order, which we communicated we’d like delivered immediately- instead we waited 15 minutes and gee, here come our mains without the bread, delivered by a previously unknown person. We duly noted that the bread had been skipped and asked this new person to take it off the bill. My fish, the whole red trout, was undercooked and raw in spots, my husband’s barramundi was just fine. Horrible Brussels sprouts burnt and served with a orange paste. The original waitress came over to apologize for the bread order gone missing. Hmmm. Need a better system, the right hand needs to know what the left is doing for real customer service.
Great food, location and service
The food was OK but although the waiters were very friendly, our orders for drinks were often slow, misunderstood or lost
This was our first and will go again. The Staff were very good considering how busy it was on the Australia Day long weekend and hot.
The food was lovely. I dont do reviews but this was worth noting.
Fresh fish. Fresh approach. Fresh service. Fresh wine list and especially by the glass. Fresh view of the harbour. Refreshingly fresh in every way. And you can even have some "not fish" dishes that are not after-thoughts. Thats fresh.
Just loved this place. Best seafood I have eaten in Sydney so fresh. Service was really good and a great outlook over the harbour. Recommend the Brussel sprouts they are to die for
Great food. Excellent service. Not cheap but worth the expense. We had the platter. Nothing deep fried like other institutions.
Will go back for sure!
We had a very enjoyable birthday dinner for 7 people, service and food was excellent, you need a sea breeze blowing to have a nice temperature outside
Very easy to get to by ferry, very close to the wharf
Our concierge at the intercontinental recommended this place. We liked the food and location, but the hostess and service were snooty.
We were there at 5pm so first table yet they had to separate a four top to two top to seat us, that changed our mind from ordering several dishes as the server even had to struggle to fit two appetizers plates on the table.
The sangria was not very good; the whiskey pour is like less than an ounce it just barely cover the base of the glass.
We saw five other parties rejected the table the hostess offered them and moved. One would think a place like that would have better idea at seating people.
We finished our meal quickly at this place and moved to Nola to have proper entrees and wine, and received much better treatment.
My wife and I would be devastated if Love Fish were to close. It simply gets better and better.
We find it a nice restaurant in a good locations
We were celebrating my husband 40th. Our main arrives there was only a small fish fillet each plate with no sides but a wedge of lemon
We orders others food to shared. But the main was a very little. We end up ordering more entrees after our mains have been finished
If there was greens mash on the side with the fish filet.
I think I think it's better money for value. Its 30 each main for a small fish fillet is very expensive
food is always very good and fish is always lovelocks;y and fresh, was a hot evening and thank goodness the clear plastic weather blinds got rolled up as it was like a sauna until this was done.
Really good food at reasonable prices although the wine certainly wasn’t cheap.
All in all a very good experience with friendly helpful staff, good food and location.
Reasonably priced fresh seafood. Good ambiance, efficient & friendly service.
Seafood was very fresh and well prepared. A nice “scene”.
We loved it. We were a group of 7 - mostly of a non English speaking background with dietary restrictions.
Food was excellent, close attention was given to our needs. I felt nothing was too much trouble. Thank you for a fabulous afternoon.
We went to celebrate my grandmother's birthday close to Christmas. The restaurant is very well situated on the waterfront, very close to the ferry wharf, which is convenient and provides wonderful views. The food was excellent - lots of seafood choice, with some options for non-seafood eaters. We particularly enjoyed the Brussel sprouts with caramelised carrot and the chocolate dessert.
A nice little gem on the water in Sydney. They have a nice menu and service was very good, but a bit stuffy. It's not a fancy place (but very nice) & I lost track of how many times the server adjusted exactly where my wine glass is placed. It's placed above the knife to start... then wherever I want it as I'm drinking it...
Poor service, rude arrogant waiters who messed up orders several times. Food very over priced for what it was. Nice fresh seafood but nothing you can’t get anywhere else.
Such a great place for a long lunch. As always great fresh food and wine! Just working on my excuse to head back!
It was a great night. The service was excellent, the food was healthy and tasty. The food we ordered was very quickly served. I like the philosophy of this restaurant. Will definitely go again.
Lovely seafood, nice location ..disappointing that their vegetarian/vegan options consist of chips & salad (even Hungry Jack's has a veggie burger!). It' 2018, guys.
A bit of effort on the Vegetarian front & this place would be perfect.
Always been favourite spot in barangaroo. Good food and atmosphere for evening dinner. Great hospitality and reasonable price is another factor.
Appreciate initiatives for sustainable practices
Consistent quality in food
Throughly enjoyed our lunch at Love.Fish. We were looking for somewhere by the water to have a Christmas lunch this this was the perfect place. The service was great, the sommelier was fantastic and the food was fabulous. There was no rush and just when we needed attention someone magically appeared. Would definitely recommend it.
Had an excellent meal for my boyfriend's birthday. Delicious food, fantastic service, great wine and nice atmosphere! Highly recommended!
The food was fantastic! However, the initial waiter was terrible he got the wine order wrong twice, then didn’t comeback to take the food order, we had been there 40minutes and no one had taken the food order. We then complained to the manager and got a new waiter who was very good.
It was a shame that the initial service was poor as otherwise I would have ranked this restaurant as a 5 on all metrics.
