love.fish - Barangaroo
Even the bar gets the love.fish philosophy - with a real focus on locally sourced, organic wines and a completely Australian back bar."
Very clean and healthy food to take the parents to! The tuna crudo was my favourite, absolutely delicious. We had to try the sea urchin... like oysters but more oceany. The mains took a little longer than expected to come out, but we were large group of 7.
good atmosphere nice food at reasonable price. waitress was very helpful but she was flat out serving too many tables.
Wonderful outdoor seating with a view and staff who were there when needed - but not intrusive.
Really happy with our choice to dine at Lovefish for Mother’s day!
Loved the way the menu was set out to have more flexibility with what to serve your fish with!
Fish was all fresh and cooked perfectly
We didn’t love the Polenta chips- have had better- these were a little dry!
But otherwise the love chocolate desert was the perfect finish!
Came here for Mother’s Day. Food was great. Service was the best we had experienced in a long time. We had a lovely lunch.
The seafood platter was very disappointing. For $165 you expect to have more than a few prawns, three cubes of smoked salmon, 3 slithers of sardines etc Not great value for money on the platter. Will not be ordering the platter again.
Entrees were the most reasonable out of all the food chosen.
Service was outstanding by one waiter in particular.
They know how to cook seafood. Everything was delish and fresh. The king prawns were amazing!! The seafood platter is definitely worth it as you get a selection of most of the entrees on offer. We tried the crab meat squid ink linguine and that was yummm. The brussel sprouts was a great side. Overall we had a great experience.
Perfect place for simple but delicious seafood, lovely views and great service
A must visit when in Barangaroo. The food is sustainably sourced, exceptional and varied. We had the barramundi which melted in the mouth. The favourite dishes remain on a varied and eclectic menu.
Lunch with family and friends was very enjoyable at love.fish. Great food and service. The waiters were very patient with us while we took some time to decide. Food was delicious. Salads we had were very tasty. Will ensure we return for future celebrations.
Great location, tables were not on top of each other, food was fabulous, service was great.
Excellent fish, cooked to perfection. I had the octopus, while others had barramundi, salmon and our American visitors had Roo. All cooked beautifully in yummy sauces.
Only issue i found was the twice cooked chips I had, one piece tasted off so I just didnt eat it.
Loved it ! Delicious food great atmosphere and fab service
Lovely outdoor setting on a beautiful autumn afternoon. The food was good without being outstanding; the service was fine, didn’t ever really feel like we had any specific person looking after us; I thought the wine list was lacking and quite pricey.
Unfortunately the service tonight was terrible. The girl serving our table had absolutely no personality at all, nor seemed to care about helping us. She was downright rude while we were trying to decide on wine, rather than offering any help to our American guests she offered to come back in two minutes. We had to ask what the specials were. We got poured the first glass of water and wine and that was it - all night. Luckily we were sitting next to where the water bottles were as we had to help ourselves. What is it with service or the lack of lately?? The food was good, not great. I had the salt & pepper calamari which was tasteless, no pepper there. I asked for some more tartar sauce only to find that we were charged $3 for the thimble sized extra sauce. When it came time to pay the bill, we gave two credit cards and told her we were splitting the bill and she said 'tell me how much that is'. The American's wanted to add the tip to their card and were clearly struggling with the machine and I asked her if she could go over and help them as the machine had been passed to them on the other side of the table to where she was standing. That's when I complained to her superior . Grrr why aren't these staff taught to serve and why don't they care, if that's the job you've chosen to do, do it well.
Good food, great atmosphere, central location at Barrangaroo.
We went back to this restaurant as we enjoyed it immensely back in January. This time , however, we were disappointed. The service was slow despite a holiday surcharge on the long weekend and the food was below expectations. The entrees of calamari & octopus were fine but the squid ink crab linguine was quite dry and tasteless with hardly any crab. We will still return to this restaurant as it has a nice ambience, is kid friendly and in a good location for meeting up with friends and visitors staying in the city.
Love.fish not only has a great feel to it, but the food is amazing - from presentation to taste.
This is the 2nd time we have been to Love Fish. Everyone enjoyed their food, good sized servings, great shoestring fries. Had entrees and mains, couldn't fit in desserts. Wait staff very helpful and attentive.
Simple and fun. Fish should always be treated with respect and never overworked. These guys get it. Fantastic lunch. Nicely priced and great experience.
Fresh seafood and great service received. Also, it was kid friendly.
Waitress was keen to take away menu card before we can choose our menu. Also, I never has seen serving main course without any side. Fish without chips! Very surprised!
I ordered an entree: whitebait crispy, it never came.
I asked the chinese male waiter twice why I did not get my whitebait crispy, he kept pointing to my main meal (which was white bait fillet set with seafood soup.) I asked him to check witgh the waitress who took my order, he said that was all that I ordered.
Yet when I paid the bill, I was charged for the entree ( 4 items, but I received only 3 items : my sister's main, my set meal and one green bean as veg). We paid $91/- but we were served 3 dishes that amounted to only about $70+ ( $35+$25+10=$70).
Great experience - fresh food and good value for money
Gorgeous food and service. If you like fish and wine and cocktails in a gorgeous and casual or smart atmosphere then go here. I would go again and again.
The service here was friendly and outstanding. The wine list was good and the staff gave us good advice about wines we did not know. The choices for fish main courses were a bit limited but the food was good.
Always a wonderful spot for lunch especially in the lovely Autumn weather.
Quick and reliable service. Quality seafood cooked well.
The food was good quality , but the plate of whiting sand flathead felt like what I would get from a fish & chip shop not what I would expect in a restaurant. The plate was missing something. The vegetarian option we picked ( tomato and spinach leaves ) was zero value for money .
Everything was good, but spoilt by the ever-pervading background noise. A pity that some form of noise absorbing material isn’t used to minimise this.....
Seafood isn't fresh and overcooked each time I've been there. Was extremely disappointed with the Scampi, Scallops, Crab Linguine, Salmon, Oysters as none of them were fresh
However the setting is very nice and service is a 10/10. Long island ice tea was good too
Food is well cooked. Good wine list. Felt as we were part of a production line in a food hall. Good setting.
Great food wonderful service sadly the weather prevailed and it was cold and windy, the blankets helped but it didn’t spoil the food. Perhaps next time the weather will be kinder.
Had a wonderful night.
Food amazing! Service outstanding.
Great food, great service, great location. This deserves to be a favorite & regular destination for seafood. And OMG you can also Take Away.
I probably would recommend it, only because of the location and it's the only fish restaruant at Barangaroo. If there were a competing restaurant, I'd definitely try it because love.fish is really only an average restaurant.
All the fish meals which we ordered literally just came with the fish, no salads no side servings nothing! Lucky we had entrees and ordered beans, salad and potatoes with out mains. The Instagram page was very misleading as the pictures resembled nothing we ordered. Very disappointing. 4 hungry customers arrived and 4 hungry customers left.
Food was excellent. We went on a Friday lunchtime which apparently is very busy (& noisy) so would choose a different day next time.
HIghly recommend the food.
I always enjoy going there and take my friends. I an glad to see a few changes in the menu, as I go there often.. the staff is friendly, the food lovely and fresh and always enjoy the ambience. My only criticism is the wine list is a little pricey. I would suggest a wider range of wine, ranging from no more than $38.00
Cool place, love the Barangaroo area! Food was lovely, staff were very friendly, only blemish was the wait times for food. Otherwise couldn't complain!!
