Pre-pandemic, the food in Lotus was outstanding and it is was my No.1 restaurant serving excellent Chinese cuisine with a twist. Whatever I ordered was delicious! I patronized it only for special occasions. This time round I found the food mediocre. What happened? Have you changed your chef? The service and ambience is still excellent. But I wont be returning.

It is always a pleasure to dine at Lotus Galeries. The menu choices are always interesting and the dumplings superb. Just as good as the food is the staff - always friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. They can answer whatever question you may have. I look forward to my next visit to Lotus. More dumplings! Yum !!!

I used to love coming here. It was a disappointment. The eggplant, previously my favourite dish had almost no eggplant, just lots of batter. The scallops and the jade prawn dumplings were bland. The standout - and it was excellent - were the brussels sprouts with wood fungus. Fantastic!

We discovered lotus by accident needing a restaurant near Town Hall. We were very pleasantly surprised, the decor and ambience was very comfortable. The food excellent and the service very attentive without being intrusive.

Our night was absolutely fabulous. I couldn’t recommend Lotus any higher!

Overall food is quite good although portion for some of the dishes are slightly less. Service is excellent. I think they have downsized their usual menu these days. Hope the normal menu will be back soon so we can try out more dishes next time.

Enjoyed our dinner there very much .. sent 3.5 hrs ! Food was delicate and delicious. Staff were very welcoming and attentive.

Another amazing lunch at Lotus! Professional wait staff with an eye to the customers needs and to die for dumplings and dishes make it my go to restaurant for any occasion.

We love this restaurant and have been back a few times now. We are a group of friends from the Central Coast, Blue Mountains, Western Sydney and Inner Sydney City - this is the perfect location for our regular get-togethers. Too good to even think about anywhere else! Authentic food, great service at competitive prices. Menu changes regularly so we never eat the same thing over, only that special dish we love!

Food was average. The eggplant was ok but honestly Chinatown has better for half the price. The dumplings were good. The barramundi was ok but nothing special for its price.

The food was ok but the service was a bit hit and miss. The cocktails were not good at all and the white wine bought to our table was warm which they tried to fix a number of times and got right the third time. Not sure I would go back.

We have not been here for some time but enjoyed dinner prior to going to the State Theatre on Saturday evening.
Lets just say the Duck Pancakes, Dumplings & Sichuan Chicken were all so well presented & very enjoyable.
Combined with the excellent friendly service & extensive wine list this venue never ceases to impress & is so ideal being close to the theatre.

The toilets were not up to standard. They need updating nad repairing.

We went to Lotus for my mums birthday and she loved it! Our server was fantastic and he made a special effort to make sure that my mum had a great night. The food was really good and is reasonably priced.

I had lunch here with my friend. Food was yumo but the dishes didn’t all come out together and for a lunch that’s what you want. It’s a good location close to townhall station. If you are looking for somewhere to talk and have a conversation and have overall good food then come here, can be a bit pricey. The dumplings were great. 👍

Always saw it when going to the bookstore, decided to give it a go. Good food, but pricey. Have had better food cheaper elsewhere.
