Great service for a large group!
Fantastic pub experience! Sunday roast dinner was amazing and comparable to any UK experience :)
Great food and good service.
The Brussel sprouts were delicious as well as the Fish and Chips.
The waitress was attentive and friendly.
I Definitely recommend this place.
London Local is a cute little location! Very comfortable with a traditional pub like feel. The food was the cherry on top! Everything was SO good! The Scotch Egg was worth the drive and multiple returns!
Service was wonderful and knowledgeable. Her recommendations were great and happy we took her recommendations. The amount of food was well worth the price! Overall the experience was great. It was our first time visiting and we will highly recommend this restaurant to our friends!
Very cute restaurant vibe. Service was really good. Was a bit disappointed by the food but it wasn’t awful and I would try this place again.
We have been at London Local couples time and the food quality and service are consistent. It is one of the places to come back again and again.
Pretty great experience. There was only one waitress working on Saturday afternoon she was a busy little bee but still kept up a good smile.
I had the fish (cod) and chips. It wasn't fully cooked, with the batter being doughy on the inside. The chips were nothing spectacular either. I did find the coleslaw interesting. My son enjoyed his meal though. The yorkshire beef I believe it was called.
The front entrance is a little odd and we waited a bit for the hostess - in all honesty, weren't sure if we were supposed to walk in or wait for someone.
Our waitress was wonderful - I wish I remembered her name.
Our appetizer (scotch egg) was pretty good. We ordered Yorkshire pudding for our toddler and found $10 a bit steep for some flour/water/egg. We thought the haddock was absolutely delicious however, I felt the beef Wellington was underwhelming. For $35, I think I just expected a bit more. The accompaniments were very sad looking and the sauce was seemingly over reduced.
Drinks were good, a bit pricey but nice.
I'm not sure we would come back based on the value.
Loved the brussel sprout appy...amazing! The slaw with the cod and chips was excellent, very fresh and I loved the fennel. The only problem was there wasn't enough of it. I'd much rather have half the amount of the chips and more slaw.
We will be back!
The service was excellent, the food was good
Went for a Valentine's dinner. Overall had a really good time. Hubby and I will be back!
The staff were amazing, they had genuine concern for us after I’d called in to say we were going to be late as we’d hit a ditch.
The food was amazing, I can’t say enough about this place, such a great experience all round.
My wife and I were there with our some and daughter on Saturday. My son we all had fish but my son ended up pulling out plastic from the fish, some of which he ended up eating. We told the waitress who went to the kitchen came back and apologized and told us our son’s meal would be taken off the bill. She was very good Talking Meal off the bill was good but I would have expected the chef to come out and at least apologize and offer our son something else to eat. He did not quite finish his meal.
The server and ambience were good but the food lackluster. The chips were not great and the fish very average. Not impressed.
One of our favorite restaurants. You must try their brunch. The full English breakfast is the best you will find in the city.
Great meal, good service.
Fun night out
the dinner was amazing as usual. Such unique appetizers that were fantastic. The staff make you feel like your a neighbour stopping in. London Local is our favourite! never a disappointment.
This was my first time to London Local and I loved it! Great food, great service and a fabulous place!
The Brussel sprouts were the highlight of our meal.
the Bubbling English Tickler Welsh Rarebit was amazing, the fish & chips was very nice, the beef wellington tasted great but the meat was a bit tough for a tenderloin.overall i would go back
Had a great experience at London Local. Heard that Lindsay Porter was part owner and head chef and had had her food at El Cortes and really enjoyed that. I had the Scotch egg and Cod and chips with a side of curry. All was good, the curry reminded me of curry and chips that I had in England, way yummy. My wife had Yorkshire peppered Steak and Stout pie. Super tender beef but the dish was a little over salted and the Yorkshire at the bottle a little soggy but still a good meal. Server was very attentive and helpful with info on food and drinks. Will go again and would recommend but with a warning about the salty Steak and Stout pie.
Fantastic food and service! The fish & chips is the best around. the daily specials, on the blackboard, are always delicious and recommended as the menu items will always be there, but not so with the specials.
Will be Going Back!
Went for the Sunday roast, the potato bacon soup was amazing, the main course was good but the beef was quite rare (which I wasn’t expecting) and the sticky toffee pudding was delicious!
There was an issue with the heat in the night of Jan 19 and it was chilly in the restaurant which made our meal cool off before we had finished.
My only request would be to have the server advise the beef is served rare to provide the opportunity to acknowledge or request to be cooked differently.
Love this place and you will too!
Great brunch food! But slow to come out for brunch (over 1 hr wait, only our 7 person table at the restaurant). Recommend the full english.
Service was excellent as well as the food. The restaurant was very nicely decorated as an English pub
Surprised it was dead there on a Saturday. The food and drinks were excellent. Good sized portions. Hsd the mussells. Service was good - since there was no one there. Would return in the future to try some other items.
I have been several times now and every time the food and drink has been excellent. Staff super friendly and knowledgeable and food delicious! Lots of it ... definitely a family favourite
Generally really good but overcooked food and lack of service based on Christmas crowd in restaurant when we were there. No problem recommending as it is normally very good all around.
Sunday afternoon lunch with the family. Easy relaxing atmosphere
Outstanding fish and chips, mussels, and toffee cake. Pleased to find Erdinger Weissbier Dunkel on tap. Please keep the haddock on the menu for the fish and chips!
Awesome service as well keeps us coming back to London Local!
Wonderful food and portion sizes. Our server was great!
Food and service were great, large portions. Great intimate atmosphere.
Great food, great service! I’ll definitely revisit London Local. We had the Yorkshire Steak Pie and fish and chips. Both were delicious. Finished up with an Eton Mess. Started off super sweet but then we came to the tangy lemon custard - perfect combo. Dark and Stormy cocktail was also great. Well done, London Local!
Very pleased with the experience
Maybe it was the day and time but we were the only people there and the food was not that which I'd come back for
I saw London Local listed as one of Edmontons best new restaurants and figured we should give it a try! The ambiance was quaint and cozy, the servers were friendly and helpful, and the food was fairly good. I have to be honest and say I did have high expectations, and was a teeny bit disappointed, but overall didnt regret choosing this restauant .
The gravy was quite salty but Yorkshire & beef excellent.
Went here with the wife on a Friday night. There wasn't a line but the restaurant was filled up so it's a good thing we had a reservation. The food was excellent and our server was fantastic. The only reason for the 4 star review is because the wife was a bit cold. There is no barrier between the outside door and the restaurant so we would feel the rush of cold air when the door opened. Other than that this place was excellent.
