Locale Pizzeria

First time to dine in, and it didn’t disappoint. We got there early, they found a spare table for a drink before the rest of our party arrived. No hassle, we were looked after. We’ll be back for sure

We come often to Locale, we're lucky to have it as our local!

We absolutely loved our dinner at Locale. The calamari was superb, the pizzas were scrumptious and the wine delicious, but I wasn't a fan of the garlic pizza. The atmosphere was great and the meal reasonably priced, we'll definitely be going back - regularly!

A great spot, handy to parking (in back street), and you can easily eat outside which is a pleasant setting.

Pizzas were great. Service very good. Music was a bit too loud but they happily turned it down a bit.

Arrived early but given a table despite the crowd.

Great food and ambience as always with a barman that would make cocktails not on the menu if there was stock.

Another excellent meal at Locale. Squid ink spaghetti alle vongole and the pizza special were both superb, as was the helpful wine advice/discussion. An all round great trattoria.

Food was OK, service was good. But compared with numerous previous times, when the food was outstanding, this visit was disappointing.

The food was great and was happy to pay the price however our drinks were forgotten until we reminded the waitress, the arrived halfway through the meal and the same happened for our dessert, which was a bit annoying.

Locale never disappoints - and is the type of restaurant that you can enjoy with children, business associates or a date night. Fantastic food which is excellent value and great service.

Great food and love the restaurant. The concierge was very helpful and friendly.

Great atmosphere, music and lighting. While the meals and drinks were a little pricey the presentation and quality couldn't be faulted, delicious! The table we had was a little chilly being caught under the air con vents. Staff were friendly and fairly prompt. Will definitely dine again.

Love outdoor seating and the polenta chips are to die for 😋
Vegetarian pizza needs a flavour lift like cherry tomato or drizzle of pesto because the zucchini and squash are bland but everything else was delicious especially diavolo pizza

Another delightful meal at Locale. Wonderful squid ink/seafood spaghetti followed by a simple pepperoni pizza from the wood-fired oven. An excellent negroni made by James and a new pinot bianco recommended and tried to great success with the seafood pasta.

Lovely and improved food, but waiters and waitresses need to pay more attention to the customers, as we had difficulty getting their attention when it came to ordering extra items.

The food is always great. We had a very nice waiter/concierge who looked after us. He went out of his way to change the seating for us and was very attentive. We try to go every few weeks.

Took a long time to get our mains but can’t fault the food when it eventually arrived

Pizza is always good - more traditional Italian and does not leave you feeling heavy or bloated like so many average pizzas tend to do. My favourite is the Diavola with white anchovies added. If I had a gripe - and it is hardly worth noting - it was the Olive formula. Those of us who had olives on our pizza all counted a special allocation of 5 per pizza. Maybe just 3 more olives per pizza might not attract the attention to the allocations.

However, that was just slightly amusing but the pizzas really are one of - maybe the best in Canberra.

The food was lovely however the service lacked friendliness and they forgot to bring our broccolini out and we forgot to mention it when we paid and ended up paying for it... quite annoying.

Pizza was fresh and delicious. Tiramisu was amazing!

Another great pasta special from Locale: squid ink spaghetti with mussels, vongole, prawns and white fish in a rich tomoato/fish fume. Squisito!

I really think this place needs to improve it's staff's hospitality skills. Given the prices you are paying for dishes here I would have expected a slightly more professional and friendly approach to customers. Sorry!

We went out for my mother in laws birthday. We had ages ranging from 2-77 and everyone enjoyed their meal.

The food was fine, but nothing to write home about. I have had a lot better pizzas from many other local places in the inner south.

Expensive and the tables were very close together.

A good night out with quality, tasty food, good wine and staff who balanced attention with discretion.
