    We came to the Local Chook for a catch up lunch with a couple of friends on a Sunday and what an unexpected delight this little restaurant is. We started off with a shared entree platter which was more than enough food. We followed it up with the Chook Chook platter which is recommended on the menu for 2-3 people but there was plenty of food for the 4 of us and some to take home. I was a little worried at first as our friends are Vietnamese and know their food! They throughly enjoyed it as did we. We will certainly be back to this well priced restaurant for its great fresh food

    Great local find. Delicious authentic food. Bookings essential as if not huge and very popular. ‘Feed me’ banquet is great, highly recommend. Restaurant is quite warm, don’t overdress! Also - go early rather than later as they like to close promptly and it’s a bit awkward if you’re still chatting/eating when you can tell they want you to leave!! 🤣

    Food was beautiful and waitress was lovely however we were rushed out and not offered dessert. The mopping had started at 9pm and the restaurant was full. I would go back for sure but I would mention something next time.

    The service, ambience,& cost were to our liking but most of all the variety in the choice of menu was fantastic along with the fantastic flavours & taste. We will definitely be back again & again.
