this was a very disappointing experience.
we had been looking forward to coming to this buffet for some time as we regularly attend the Gold Coast Sheraton.
the buffet was extremely poor. very little choice, and poor assortment of foods and sweets.
the value for money is non-existant.
the cost for a dinner of this quality should be no more than $30 per head.
Wonderful service and dining experience. Our waiter made our dining experience so enjoyable - went to extra lengths to make our day special. Thank you!
We went to there on last Saturday for Seafood Buffet dinner.
We paid almost $100 per persons. Seafoods are really fresh, but not much hot dishes to choose. Only have around 10 different dishes.
No steaks, no sushi, no sashimi at all. Desserts wasn't tasty good and not much choose.
Not recommend to anyone at all.
Wow what a beautiful High Tea/Coffee, food service and atmosphere perfect. Will definetly be back
Went to have the High Coffee menu. The savoury and sweet dishes are scrumptious. The staff are friendly and helpful too and the ambiance is quiet and serene. I will be returning for another High Coffee.
Preferred their standard Parisian high tea menu over their limited time High Coffee menu, although we appreciated the included cocktail for our afternoon. The High Coffee menu yielded a lot of bookings and as a result, when in full service the service quality dropped dramatically compared to previously when we've come to Little Collins St Kitchen, Sheraton Hotel for high tea. They weren't attentive to collect our drinks order (we had to ask a few times), my friend's extra hot coffees came out lukewarm twice, they served food for our table last when we were there first, and lastly they forgot about my special birthday request and gave me attitude about confirming that the birthday person was gluten-free.
Great kids can cook afternoon tea at the Sheraton, such a wonderful afternoon for the kids as well as the adults, food for adults and children was spot on and the chef taking the children through their cooking event was brilliant.
The hot food section of the seafood buffet was very disappointing as compared to the seafood buffet selection.
Everything was excellent, the food was delicious and we felt very welcomed.
My only suggestion would be signage out the front and at the top of the stairs, just so outside visitors know where they are going.
I will definitely visit again
A nice but nothing special high tea/coffee. Food was only OK and was missing things like traditional finger sandwiches (a single point sandwich of toasted ham and cheese didn't say indulgent to me). Service again was only OK - we had trouble understanding one of our waitresses and other tables were having the same issue as we all had to try to decipher was was being said for each other. Pay the little extra and go to the Windsor for proper High Tea.
Absolutely loved our visit for the Kids Can Cook High Tea in the school holidays. The food for the adults was delicious and the kids loved their food and the decorating experience. Would love to do it again next holidays!
Delightful and enjoyable High Coffee. Would definitely recommend.
Our first time there and very much enjoyed the High Coffee. Definitely recommend to jazz up the usual high tea. Service was great and it was so peaceful being a Tuesday afternoon.
We booked for the Kid's Christmas in July cooking workshop. The kids sandwich bread was very hard (like stale bread), we received replacements but they were still not super fresh.
The workshop setup was great, however the Chef who was leading the session didn't really connect with the kids and was a little hard to understand and hence the kids were not that engaged.
Absolutely wonderful experience was had there. The staff were professional charming and courteous. The food was absolutely stunning, couldn't recommend the high-coffee more. Your palate will be in for a treat!
The seafood buffet is always reliable......seak that was ordered from a la carte menu was not fantastic though. Great service given to our table thank you
The value for money was exceptional. We all enjoyed most of the food that was put out and left feeling very full.
The staff were pleasant and helpful at the beginning. But with the change in staff we couldn’t get anyone’s attention for water or more tea/coffee.
The sitting area didn’t have a lot of ambience to it. But quiet enough and enough space for a pram beside us.
High coffee was such a great idea. Delicious food, tasty espresso martini and beautiful coffee. Highly recommended.
The Service was horrible, we had to ask for drinks constantly , there was no ambiance.
A great place in the city that seems to be an undiscovered gem. Staff are always friendly and helpful. We have enjoyed Sunday lunch here since they opened and we hope to again visit soon.
The waitress were very nice, professional.
They worked very hard. Food were good but hope to provide more choice/type of food for every person.
It was a great Easter Afternnon Tea and already recommended to my friends.
We had a brilliant time and will be back. The food for adults was beautiful, there was so much food I almost exploded trying to eat it all.
The kids food I wasn’t as impressed with, the sandwiches and veggie sticks were great but I wish chips hadn’t been served, something healthier would have been much better, maybe some flat bread and dips, or olives and cheese. The presentation of the kids food was also lacking, this didn’t mater to the kids until my food came out and they saw the beautiful presentation and from then on I had to fight off little fingers trying to get to my food.
The pastry chef was brilliant and my boys loved making the animals and decorating the cakes, I couldn’t believe how quiet they were.
Table service was very slow, we had to wait a long time to be seated and were never asked if we needed any more drinks, we had to ask at the bar ourselves. This surprised me as it wasn’t very busy.
Overall the experience was fantastic and I will recommend it to others.
Being a marriott and sheraton member and going to the partner restaurants especially buffets, i have never left unhappy until now. The seafood was average but the roast was cold including the gravy. Would not recommend for the price at all
It was a lovely afternoon, for the most part. A little disappointed that we weren't seated in the sunny area so were in the back section - I appreciate that we were sat away from lots of small children but there was an annoying customer walking around talking on his phone! It was also a little disappointing that, as I was giving our high tea as a gift for a friend, that the amount was announced in front of him. Perhaps just show me the amount??
Overall Disappointed with the evening. Firstly being greeted with stained upholstery was not what I would expect from a five star hotel restaurant. Off putting immediately! Service was very poor (under staffed?) No serving utensils provided for the vegetables. No oyster forks. Constantly had to ask for drinks to be topped up and/or replenished. My ‘seafood fish of the day’ was served luke warm and did look like leftovers. Desserts whilst nicely presented were very small for the price. The one positive was the children’s menu was nice quality food for the kids and the steak my brother ordered was very good. However overall very disappointing. Will reconsider renewing the clubmarriot membership as even with discounted food and birthday bottle wine I don’t consider the experience was worth going to the restaurant again I’m afraid.
A perfect place to be with family and friends. Kudos to the Little Kitchen team that made our dining cosy and memorable. Food selections were just nice.
Fantastic Hi Tea.
Great food and service.
Beautiful setting and ambience.
A pleasant Valentine's Day dinner. Appetizers were the best, mains lacking and desserts ok. Sheraton need to be reminded credit card surcharge can only be the cost incurred by the business, (refer ACCC ruling), not any more. 1.5% surcharge is in excess of what a business that size would be paying; more likely .5% to .8% would be their cost.
An enjoyable experience. Very spacious. Delicious food. Excellent service.
I was expecting more from the reviews ... pretty ordinary food only 4 options for seafood ... it was very Chinese’s orientarte which is not good as I was expecting seafood buffet ... the place is normal ... not worth for the price would not go back ... desserts very ordinary
Service was good though
Overall it was a happy and cosy place. The children’s food lacked variety though, but the adults high tea was good. The food quality and taste was very nice.
I attended the school holiday activity "Kids can cook" with my family.
The staff were lovely and the afternoon tea was delicious.
My daughter enjoyed decorating her high tea with the pastry chef
We went to Little Collins Street Kitchen for Kids Can Cook holiday program. The high tea for the adults was great - just enough on the stand. Replenished coffee/tea and full glass on sparkling wine.
The Kids Can Cook program was awesome. Good food for kids and such hands on and fun chef. Highly recommend as a holiday activity.
Restaurant was very quiet though which was surprising. Perhaps not enough people know about this gem.
The party of five thought the food and service was at the top of its class. Meal selection were mixed between buffer and la carte. The atomosphere perfect for a casual conversation
Went for Christmas Eve seafood buffet. Great fresh food and outstanding service
we absolutely loved the whole high tea experience at little collins kitchen; food servings were generous, interesting and tasted divine
thank you for making my birthday high tea such a wonderful experience
Ordered the king fish salad for entrée which was tastless, main seafood orichette which was absolutely awful and returned to the kitchen replacement dish was only a little better, size small with hardly any seafood but charged at a hefty price $38.00. Duck l'orang was okay but not authentic. Overall very disappointed. Ambience was very noisy.
We have been to the restaurant many times whether just for dinner or when going to dinner and a show and as usual the food and service were excellent. Open table enabled many and varied choices from seafood to deserts. A relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere at top end of the city close to all theaters.
Fabulous food and lovely staff. A really enjoyable experience
