Service was great and attentive. Need some improvement with quality and delicate with High tea which was a bit disappointed if compare to other high end hotels. The assortment was plain and boring.
Service staff were friendly and approachable, but the food was quite ordinary and definitely not good value for the price ($69.00 with a glass of sparkling). The website showed a price of $65.00pp, but this was the price and menu for 2020, which should have been updated. This is poor and misleading advertising. I wish that I had read all the reviews from others, then I probably would not have booked for the high tea. A little disappointing, especially given that I was taking another couple out for a birthday treat.
Before booking it did no advise that it had a limited menu, the restaurant was totally empty, call first
Literally nothing on the menu, only sandwiches and salads
Little Collins Street kitchen is an open restaurant not cosy or inviting. Everything is grey and no plants. Spray cleaning bottles and a dirty cloth in the
Servery in middle of restaurant next to water jugs. Food was nice but my calamari was supposed to come with a cucumber salad and came with just a leafy salad. The chef made me a fresh one and came to apologise which was nice. My husband had beef cheek which was nice and tender. I ordered a 2015 Shiraz and the waiter brought a 2017 and when I questioned it, he said that must've a mistake and I wouldn't get a glass of that for the listed price!
Overall we were not very happy and would not visit again.
There didn't seem to be a booking for two for the Grand Slam High Tea, even though I received confirmation number and showed it to the waitress. We were taken to a table for four with lunch menu! After that, we were taken to a different corner of the room with a small table and throughout the two hours, 12-2 that we were there, there were nobody else for High Tea. The waitress poured the water and splash some onto my face. When I asked for Earl Grey tea, I received English Breakfast instead. It was by far the worst experience we had! We had been to Parliament House, the Strangers Corridor, The Windsor, yet this High Tea was half of the value we paid. No, we wouldn't have recommended it to any of our family or friends!! It was our birthday celebrations.
My daughter and I loved the Kids Can Cook Little Scientists High Tea. Food was delicious for both kids and adults.
Not a lot of options for food. It is accepted for the price on groupon voucher but not for full price $89. The place is quite small
I don’t understand why to bother ask customers to phone the number provided to make a booking when the call taker isn’t able to help with the booking and also no one calls the customer back either. Luckily, I worked it out to book on line.
Unfortunately, we picked up some off and smelly oysters. During the night we needed to top up the water by ourselves.
Very professional and the food was good.
I was again disappointed with the hot food options from the buffet. Some of the food was not hot and no vegetables other than potato. Not everyone likes salads. A mix of broccoli, carrots, beans, pumpkin etc would be good.
Seafood was good, the salmon excellent and the desserts as usual were great.
Good sea food buffet, dessert was ok, not too much sweet.
The place is very simple but everything was nice.
Visited with my beautiful mum for part of a girls day out. The high tea was delicious and the service was very friendly and welcoming.
We were able to linger over our tasty treats without feeling rushed.
A fantastic experience and a lovely memory for us both.
we received a warm welcome on entry to the hotel as well as the restaurant. Service was timed very well as we had time to converse before presentation of food. High Tea was delightful and ample serves for Afternoon Tea. Presentation of table and crockery was lovely. Distance between tables was wonderful so private conversations were not interrupted by loud noises. On behalf of my sister and myself thank you for a memorable High Tea.
Kind regards
Pat Reeves
We came for high tea. Had to wait way too long for our tea and coffee. Had finished eating. Odd that marmalade was served with scones.
Lovely High Tea with a glass of bubbles. Food was very enjoyable and my sister and I had a great experience. Thoroughly recommend the experience.
My family and I came back to Little Collins for a high tea for my dads 60th birthday. Our experience from when we booked online, when I rang to change the date and made a request right up until we had finished our high tea was lovely. We were welcomed with a warm smile, the service was friendly and quick and everyone whom we interacted with were lovely. The staff went above and beyond to ensure we had a lovely time and they thoughtfully surprised my dad with a special dessert from the chef. We always enjoy our time here and will be back again next year. Thankyou!
this was a very disappointing experience.
we had been looking forward to coming to this buffet for some time as we regularly attend the Gold Coast Sheraton.
the buffet was extremely poor. very little choice, and poor assortment of foods and sweets.
the value for money is non-existant.
the cost for a dinner of this quality should be no more than $30 per head.
Wonderful service and dining experience. Our waiter made our dining experience so enjoyable - went to extra lengths to make our day special. Thank you!
We went to there on last Saturday for Seafood Buffet dinner.
We paid almost $100 per persons. Seafoods are really fresh, but not much hot dishes to choose. Only have around 10 different dishes.
No steaks, no sushi, no sashimi at all. Desserts wasn't tasty good and not much choose.
Not recommend to anyone at all.
Wow what a beautiful High Tea/Coffee, food service and atmosphere perfect. Will definetly be back
Went to have the High Coffee menu. The savoury and sweet dishes are scrumptious. The staff are friendly and helpful too and the ambiance is quiet and serene. I will be returning for another High Coffee.
Preferred their standard Parisian high tea menu over their limited time High Coffee menu, although we appreciated the included cocktail for our afternoon. The High Coffee menu yielded a lot of bookings and as a result, when in full service the service quality dropped dramatically compared to previously when we've come to Little Collins St Kitchen, Sheraton Hotel for high tea. They weren't attentive to collect our drinks order (we had to ask a few times), my friend's extra hot coffees came out lukewarm twice, they served food for our table last when we were there first, and lastly they forgot about my special birthday request and gave me attitude about confirming that the birthday person was gluten-free.
Great kids can cook afternoon tea at the Sheraton, such a wonderful afternoon for the kids as well as the adults, food for adults and children was spot on and the chef taking the children through their cooking event was brilliant.
The hot food section of the seafood buffet was very disappointing as compared to the seafood buffet selection.
Everything was excellent, the food was delicious and we felt very welcomed.
My only suggestion would be signage out the front and at the top of the stairs, just so outside visitors know where they are going.
I will definitely visit again
A nice but nothing special high tea/coffee. Food was only OK and was missing things like traditional finger sandwiches (a single point sandwich of toasted ham and cheese didn't say indulgent to me). Service again was only OK - we had trouble understanding one of our waitresses and other tables were having the same issue as we all had to try to decipher was was being said for each other. Pay the little extra and go to the Windsor for proper High Tea.
Absolutely loved our visit for the Kids Can Cook High Tea in the school holidays. The food for the adults was delicious and the kids loved their food and the decorating experience. Would love to do it again next holidays!
Delightful and enjoyable High Coffee. Would definitely recommend.
Our first time there and very much enjoyed the High Coffee. Definitely recommend to jazz up the usual high tea. Service was great and it was so peaceful being a Tuesday afternoon.
We booked for the Kid's Christmas in July cooking workshop. The kids sandwich bread was very hard (like stale bread), we received replacements but they were still not super fresh.
The workshop setup was great, however the Chef who was leading the session didn't really connect with the kids and was a little hard to understand and hence the kids were not that engaged.
Absolutely wonderful experience was had there. The staff were professional charming and courteous. The food was absolutely stunning, couldn't recommend the high-coffee more. Your palate will be in for a treat!
The seafood buffet is always reliable......seak that was ordered from a la carte menu was not fantastic though. Great service given to our table thank you
The value for money was exceptional. We all enjoyed most of the food that was put out and left feeling very full.
The staff were pleasant and helpful at the beginning. But with the change in staff we couldn’t get anyone’s attention for water or more tea/coffee.
The sitting area didn’t have a lot of ambience to it. But quiet enough and enough space for a pram beside us.
High coffee was such a great idea. Delicious food, tasty espresso martini and beautiful coffee. Highly recommended.
The Service was horrible, we had to ask for drinks constantly , there was no ambiance.
A great place in the city that seems to be an undiscovered gem. Staff are always friendly and helpful. We have enjoyed Sunday lunch here since they opened and we hope to again visit soon.
The waitress were very nice, professional.
They worked very hard. Food were good but hope to provide more choice/type of food for every person.
It was a great Easter Afternnon Tea and already recommended to my friends.
We had a brilliant time and will be back. The food for adults was beautiful, there was so much food I almost exploded trying to eat it all.
The kids food I wasn’t as impressed with, the sandwiches and veggie sticks were great but I wish chips hadn’t been served, something healthier would have been much better, maybe some flat bread and dips, or olives and cheese. The presentation of the kids food was also lacking, this didn’t mater to the kids until my food came out and they saw the beautiful presentation and from then on I had to fight off little fingers trying to get to my food.
The pastry chef was brilliant and my boys loved making the animals and decorating the cakes, I couldn’t believe how quiet they were.
Table service was very slow, we had to wait a long time to be seated and were never asked if we needed any more drinks, we had to ask at the bar ourselves. This surprised me as it wasn’t very busy.
Overall the experience was fantastic and I will recommend it to others.
