Cost of the continental restaurant for what was offered, was tasty but quite expensive.
Was great to see this open again, one of the places we frequent when in Launceston on business.
The vareity of food was a little disappointing this visit but i think with covid and restrictions and just opening on the friday sat ??? Nights maybe limited the selections.
Overall a good feed. Staff friendly and welcoming.
After not dining here for well over a year - do to having too many bad meals, we decided to give it another try.
The main buffet selection (salads, veggies. Carvery) was pretty good BUT all the hot selections we're just luke warm - not nice to eat and also worrying because bacteria loves cold hot food, and warm cold food. Such a shame because the food was quite tasty.
The dessert buffet was same old cakey slices biscuits type of thing and pretty poor for a cold climate buffet.
We have eaten at Wrest Point buffet a lot and whereas we rate them a 10/10 for food quality/choice/ price/ambience - Country Club in comparison is a 2/10 in comparison.
Links is poorly set out, below average food, and definitely not value for money.
Definitely will not be giving it another chance.
Excellent accommodation and meal at Links shame pokies weren’t working but not your fault
Really disappointed with the lack of children’s food and given the price is that of adults they should have choice.
We got there, the bread rolls were already sitting on the table before we got there. (Who knows how long for ) 45 bucks for the buffet wich is what we went for. Practically all seafood. We don't eat seafood. If we new it was a seafood venue now we wouldn't of come. I asked for a extra bread roll and butter as I was starving. The desserts. The cream was not good on some of the deserts the nutella filled donuts were so dry and over cooked. I have never had a bad meal here or never had no options before. Very dissapointed
Very happy with the meal and will be going back again,
Plenty of food options and worth the $$
Staff were nice and always making sure we were right
food was no where near worth 45$ a head, we all only had 1 plate each because it was so disappointing. drinks were great, dessert was okay and service was great, but the food let it down.
bascially just a roast.
was not very flavoursome nor a buffet
Breakfast buffet is excellent.
Dinner buffet had very poor selection not enough on offer. Small tubs of prawns and one bowl of chicken, no pasta salads , no rice salads No salads just small tubs of dry looking coleslaw.
Desserts on offer at dinner were pretty good
Needs to be improved on selection.
Good varied menu and well cooked...staff very attentive.
The service was excellent. We were very disappointed in the food available at the buffet, It was either over cooked or undercooked, and not much to choose from.
Not many people there but there was empty dishes and needed to wait for refills. Not enough choice of sides. Limited salads
It was very disappointing for $45PP it’s good for those who like seafood however, only roast lamb or pork and buttermilk chicken available so very slim picking if a non seafood eater. Will never return again.
Beautiful food wonderful staff really enjoyed my meal
It is now too expensive, for the quality of food that was presented. Service was quite good, but the range has become smaller. the roast potatoes had been cooked well before service time, only one roast meat was offered. Simple desserts were not available on a Saturday night, eg jelly, cream, bulk ice cream
While I cannot fault the service of the staff at all, the value for money wasn’t amazing. I probably wouldn’t come back not with the kids again anyway. But the customer service was lovely.
Unfortunately the food was not what I expected.
Food that should have been refrigerated was at room temperature so I acquired an unwelcome stomach upset.
Very poor and can only advise not to eat here.
Food was very bland. No pasta or roasted greens. They serve you the food instead. Menu tastes the same as it did 2 years ago but $20 more. The desserts were tasteless.
Was not happy with the food at all as the taste was so poor.
I’ve been many times before, and this time was easily the worst time. The food was below average. The best part was the seafood
Platters. Too overpriced for what it actually was, the servers didn’t listen to what you wanted. Am deeply disappointed
Less food no choc fountain
Definately need more variety for the price you pay . Not much to choose from
The starter soup and noodles were cold
For the price you pay, there wasn’t a lot of selection of food which was disappointing.
Way to over priced for what you get
The oysters are served in small amounts and slow. The time is short, wasnt full when left.
Should be open 7 days a week for lunch and dinner , no contact COVID in tassie for 6 months! We are supposed to be supporting our local venues, can’t do that if you aren’t open!
The staff were lovely but the food was not. Served at our table was chicken laksa and a bread roll that you needed cast iron teeth to chew. The laksa was ok but I only had a few mouthful anticipating the Buffett but I should have filled up on the laksa. The seafood we don't eat so went to buffet as there were no alternative cold meats.
Salads boring and heavy. Not fresh and interesting.
Some steamed salmon and other seafood. Then roast pork or lamb which we didn't bother with because the veggies seemed to be baked within an inch of their life and we don't want a meat on its own with gravy
Sweets were nice. With panna cotta, cheesecake, Apple cake, fruit and ice cream
I'm sure many people love the experience but it wasn't for us. And for $110 for 2 people plus drinks we won't go back.
Loved the new Covid safe buffet. The dining experience was much more refined.
The only constructive feedback we had was that myself and my cousin were both unable to eat seafood so feel as though we missed out on some of the value as lots of the dishes were seafoood.
way overpriced, page said $26 each cost $55 each
It was a nice relaxing meal for my wife and I and will come back when the opportunity presents itself.
We enjoyed our dining at Links Resturant. We we're disappointed to find oit on the night that there was no buffet dinner. The resturant would have send an email informing us of the change. They do send you emails for conformation. Otherwise we recommend this place for dining and hanging around with your friends.
By far the best value for money and the atmosphere is delightful. Will defantly be coming back forsure.
We found our dining experience both pleasurable and relaxing. As local residents we would have no hesitation in returning again. The staff were friendly and helpful.
Poor quality food selection ,hot food was cold mostly cold salads on offer
Dessert selection nothing was in-house made all brought in slab n sliced up and spread across bar with no real variety , pav or should be named cream roll 😉
step it up guys poor poor poor
We had 9 guest with us from Melbourne and was embarrassed with what was on offer .
Very poor selection of food and the food available was bland ,everyone from our table ended up sick
Staff were undertrained and range of food choices was poor for non seafood eaters.
Great variety of food with an option to do buffet or straight from the menu. Friendly service crew. Good ambience. Highly recommended!
Felt that overall your stand of food had declined. Brand of tea is very poor quality. Would advise that you stick to Twinings . Salads are not as good as used to be. No baked veg. To go with roast meat.
Staff friendly and helpful -
Had table for 6 and most were a little disappointed with lunch.
Had a really beautiful, relaxing stay at the CC Casino. The setting is amazing with the wildlife coming right up to you. Everything is on hand & easy to access. A great place to stay.
