Great ambiance, delicious meals and wonderful service!
Reservations are a must to enjoy this charming restaurant. Everything we ordered was delicious from a flavorful antipasto misto, to a risotto and all the way to cloudlike tiramissou and home-made cannoli positively stuffed with mascarpone. A platter of three perfectly cooked sea scallops complimented by grapes in a delicate sauce was particularly unusual and notable. Excellent bread provided the perfect "mop" for the nuanced flavors in the sauce. Friendly, attentive service did not seem to lag even though it was very busy. We intend to return.
Outstanding dinner, great service! So glad we came - the Pappardelle allo Zefferano was luscious - perfectly cooked shrimp, scallops & lump crabmeat in a saffron cream sauce! Eager to go back!
I had two appetizers, both delicious and my kids shared a salad and enjoyed their entrees very much. One of my faves in St Michaels
Ma che piacevole sorpresa! To find an authentic Italian trattoria on Maryland's eastern shore?! With house-made limoncello and pappardelle made to perfection. Bravi ... e grazie mille.
The wait staff was not told that we were seated. It took 1/2 hour and a return to the hostess stand before a waiter came to our table. After that the service was great and the food was delicious. They also marked us as a no show in Opentable.
Great food and a great find in a sleepy town. (Off season that is) This has become a go to spot for us whenever we're in St. Michaels.
The food is delicious and the pasta is homemade which is so rare these days. We love it here, you will too.
Amazing pasta I loved it
Excellent surprise in St. Michaels! Everything about Limoncello was great. We were in town for a long weekend and were so pleased with our meal on Saturday that we stayed through Sunday to see if it was a fluke. It was not. Perfection both times. The lobster ravioli and tuna prosciutto melted in your mouth. The specialty pizzas and drinks were also a home run. Highly recommend the Limoncello Martini with Stohli vodka. We will absolutely, positively return. Kudos to the chef and management team. Reservations recommended! 🥰
This review does not pertain to Limoncello food, service, or anything like that. Rather it refers to the fact that Limoncello had no knowledge of our OpenTable dinner reservation and would not seat us. Very disappointing especially on a busy Saturday evening. Either OpenTable or Limoncello dropped the ball regarding our reservation that had been placed well in advance.
Very good food. Thoroughly enjoyable all around. Would love to go back again.
We were seated right away, waitress was friendly and attentive. Food was very good, I had the branzino. Husband had the filet risotto.
They did a fantastic job all around and will return. I require GF good and they knocked it out of the park with a risotto dish with mignon tip, mushrooms and gorgonzola cheese, my husband had the large tube pasta dish with pancetta, bacon and some Marina, perfect in everyway. Wine was perfect.
Eggplant app and Sachetti was delicious. Risotto was undercooked and not creamy.
Charming Italian restaurant right on the main street of St. Michaels, with free public parking just around the corner. Perfect for a romantic dinner with a special person, or just for a change of pace if you're tired of seafood on the Eastern Shore. Food is good and prices very reasonable. The limoncello tiramisu was fantastic. Will definitely recommend to friends and go back next time we visit that lovely town.
We had hoped to sit outside but due to the weather that just want possible and our host surprised us with a wonderful table right in the window that was very intimate and perfect. They all knew it was our anniversary and treated us like we were newlyweds. The service was outstanding and the food was excellent.
The food was great, service was also great. Overall a very nice place for dinner. Highly recommend.
The food was excellent (branzino and halibut, roasted Brussels sprouts, pasta with clams). The house limoncello martini was excellent. Our server was wonderful. My only negative comment is that my seat faced a storage nook with a stack of high chairs and a sweeper - not the best view.
Excellent food, good service but the servers should introduce themselves as part of the welcome.
Everything is delish! Lobster ravioli, seafood dishes, and the veal!
Of all our dinners in St. Michaels we enjoyed this one the most. We had a reservation and were seated on time. We could tell they were busy but the manager was also working the floor. They had a very nice young man as a runner and food came out in a reasonable time and hot! The scallop appetizer was delicious and different. Best thing I have had in a very long time.
Excellent service! Food and wine were delicious.
Food was fantastic & service was great!!
My husband and I had a wonderful dinner at Limoncello! The cocktails and wine were fantastic (Limoncello Blush), and the food was superb! The octopus appetizer and the branzino entree were especially delicious. The server was attentive, friendly, and efficient. We had a great seat by the window. We will be back!
Great food. Service was slow and inattentive.
Celebrated my wife’s Birthday at Lemoncello, we were greeted at the door and seated immediately, seated at a very comfortable table under the lemon tree. Our waitress was superb, we had time to study the wine list, she took time to answer questions that we had about the menu. Food was outstanding, well prepared and beautifully presented. Our evening was highlted by a complementary Birthday dessert with a very effective sparkler. Our evening was superb.
Thank you Lemoncello!
Spaghetti with clams done perfectly. Asked for more garlic and the kitchen relied. Purses with Gorgonzola and pears in a cream sauce was wonderful.
Always a fun local place for dinner. Like many restaurants a little bit tight on employees. The service a bit slow but well understood in this day and age of employee shortage.
Great food and service
We went here for our anniversary dinner and I will say we will not be returning. We had a server come to our table about 5-10 mins after we sat down. Then after that server came another one showed up and didn’t mention if they were our new server or what was happening. I should mention this was a Thursday night and it wasn’t that crowded. Our drinks took forever to get and they were just ok. After the “new” server took our order it wasn’t until about 20 mins later that she came back to ask what we ordered again. We didn’t get our salad until about 45-50 mins into our dinner. The food was just ok. Then I felt like they barely checked back with us. When we got the check it took forever for them to come get it so at that point we walked it up to the bar and paid. The experience was terrible to say the least and on our anniversary. I would have at least comped our drinks or have given a free dessert at that point. Nope! I have worked in this industry before so it was sad to see this. We won’t be back.
We live In NJ, but every time we are in St Michaels, MD we make it a point to eat at Limoncello. This trip we were in town four days and ate here two of them! Great Food!
Friendly, conscientious staff. Sat in the middle of the room near the door. Would have preferred corner of along a wall and request such with our next reservation as this was our first experience at the restaurant.
Outstanding food and wait staff service. We come here every time in St Michael’s. This time though we had dinner after 8 on Sunday evening when it was quiet but the bartender took 30 minutes to make our cocktail, and there were no cocktail glasses. Our wait person Amy was very apologetic and made up for it with great service.
Food was very good, service was also very good. Greeting at the hostess stand by the bartender, and service there, not so much. It’s a shame because that is the first impression you get of the restaurant, and Limoncello deserves better. As did we.
Staff were gracious to adjust our reservation, but forgot about the outdoor request. No masks on any staff whatsoever. Waitress forgot to put in our appetizer order and when we brought it up said nothing. Pastas were fair.
Excellent service and the food is top notch- where is their Michelin star?
This is probably the go to Italian restuarant in Saint Michaels. Nice decor with sufficient spacing between tables. There ia a very large selection of options on the menu. Prices are not inordinate. My wife's pasta with assorted seafood was excellent & my veal scaloppini with garlic mashed potatoes & asparagus was very good. Portions are quite large. Service was very good. Reservations are recommended as several walk-ins were turned away as the restaurant was very busy (and they were probably unable to seat other tables due to understaffing).
Nice atmosphere. Decent service and very good food. Relatively small portions for the prices being charged. Filet had to be sent back for more cooking which took about 10 minutes. Overall, a good experience but not particularly good value.
Food seems to have gone down in flavor. Used to be fantastic and flavorful, todays meal was tasteless.
