Lima London
The exciting flavours created by Head Chef, Robert Ortiz and Virgilio Martinez (Executive Chef and ranked #5 in the World 50 Best List and #1 in Latin America's 50 Best Restaurants list) have won us many happy customers. And while our diners are most important, we have had many favourable reviews from critics (“An almost unimprovable meal” – Matthew Norman, The Daily Telegraph) and numerous industry awards.
Lima London was first awarded a Michelin star in 2013 – the first and only Peruvian restaurant to achieve this.
Please note that children under 12 are welcome in the restaurant until 7 pm.
Such lovely and interesting food, delicious flavours!
Lima was recommended to us by friends. However I felt the ambiance was a little odd, the menu limited and overpriced for what it was. The staff was very polite and friendly though. I would not go again.
A really exciting culinary experience, bringing back memories or dinners in Peru. Very helpful service, with a good wine list. More Peruvian wines on the list next time please!
Loudest restaurant ever.
Absolutely one of the best food esperienze aver. I strongly recommend it
An wonderful hidden jem in Fitzrovia of an authentic Peruvian cuisine with a twist. Small portions that enable you to value the unexpected transition from one course to the next. Mostly knowledgeable staff with engaging attitude and attentive demeanour. A good choice when you need to leave a nice impression on a business partner or a first date without overwhelming them.
Attentive waiter and yummy food and drink well presented! Extremely accommodating esp as staggered arrival times inc me the birthday girl. A little cold (temp of restaurant upstairs) and pricy but lovely!
As a lo er of Peruvian cuisine, I hardly recognized the savour and flavour. The Pisco was also not good. We have had the chance to eat at the Virgilio Lopez restaurant in Lima and we really loved it. Somthe Lima london experience was a bit disappointing. Best regards.
Nice atmosphere and attantive pleasant service. The food was however lucking some flavours and bit of balance but nice ideas. The cactusy duck was lovely! Quinoa tuna nigiri had not very nice consistency.. Food was probably better at Lima by floral.
Awesome place. Lovely food. Great staff.
Amazing pisco sour. Very good Malbec
Main dishes were not nearly as good as starters. The starters were really good though, but I expected more from a Michelin star restaurant. Also, didn’t really feel a Peruvian atmosphere
Had a wonderful experience here. We had booked in not realising the tasting menu wasn't on on Friday evenings. Ed, the manager asked the chefs who were happy to ket us have the Peru experience tasting menu and swap one if the dishes to suit us. The food was outstanding. The service equally so. We will definitely return. Thank you so much for a truly wonderful experience.
Absolutely amazing place, fantastic food and a service to match!
Friendly and welcoming staff, who were happy to take the time to explain particular dishes and who clearly have a real passion for Peru and its food. Great food - very fresh ingredients with some lovely and unusual flavour combinations that work well together. The 'Peru Experience' tasting menu was not available on the Saturday night we visited which was disappointing. The wine list is eclectic with some interesting choices - including Peruvian wines - but unfortunately the first two wines we selected from the list were unavailable. Our third choice wine was perfectly OK but it doesn't leave a great feeling when on a special night out you're drinking your third-choice wine! All that said, we plan to visit again and recommend it.
Friendliest staff ever - love the Pisco sours!!! Best ever.
Delicious food, presented beautifully. We went for the lunchtime tasting menu that was excellent and gives you the chance to sample a range of what Lima does best. Would recommend!
Very relaxed with excellent food beautifully presented. Also lovely wine!
I would recommend it because it is nice, but as peruvian who haven’t been in Peru for over a year, I would emphasis that it is a gourmet peruvian place.
I had the ceviche, liked it but the spicy was missing. The pisco sour was fine.
I had big expectations, was good but nothing really special. I had 50% off on food with Code app. Full prize not worth.
Services really poor. Food average, can be way better, they have a great chef behind that menu. I understand why they lose the michelin star
To put it simply, if you like GOOD food and have an open mind about flavors you MUST eat here!
Amazing experience. Friendly service, beautiful and very tasty dishes. Top!
The meal was delicious: a stunning seafood ceviche starter was particularly memorable. The lunch menu represents terrific value.
However, I have no idea why no-one was seated at the window tables, nor why the banquettes are so soft and low, yet uncomfortable.
Food is fresh, tasty and insta-worthy too! Excellent, will recommend to friends.
Love the place, food and overall experience. Pisco Sour was deli, only a bit on the sweet side for me.
I find the food quite pricey though. I travel to Lima, Peru often and I don’t see the need of this food being so high in price. Yes, it’s delicious and I know there’s are great thoughts, creativity, and amazing skills behind this, however when you see the bill you feel bad of paying so much ;S
Overall excellent. Food was tasty and delicious. Service was good
Beautiful food. Almost too good to eat. If you are foodie taking pictures pls ask a friend to lt it
Very nice experience, fantastic food. Friendly service, a bit busy but it was okay. Too noicy in the restaurant.
Excellent food, unique flavours and the presentation was awesome.
Great service and will definitely be back!
Nice evening and marveillous coking. But too noisy !
Great food, expertly cooked to get the most flavour from the ingredients
The food is good, but I have been robbed from my iPhone sitting in the back of the restaurant. Nobody was watching who comes in!. So there is no-one permanent at the area to receive clients and telle them where to sit. You should feel safe and free inside a restaurant to put your belongings next to you. The way they handled the situation was apauling. A bottle of wine to compensate their behaviour and the loss of my iphone was a disgrace.
Obviously nobody has learned here what hospitality means!
Stay away, not for the food, but for thieves coming in the restaurant and nobody from staff reacts!!!
Great service from all! The ceviche was very tasty and the pisco sours were well balanced!
Very good food, maybe portions a little bit small but very tasty. Very friendly and attentive staff. I will go back with more family and friends for sure. Anna
Fantastic service, great food. We visited for a special occasion at lunchtime and thoroughly enjoyed our experience. The suckling pig was amazing! And the chocolate dessert was fantastic.
Service was good, ambiance was good.
Menu was very confusing!!! No tasting menu over the weekend.
Worst thing was the food. Whilst it was very pretty, some of the flavour combinations just didn't work or were just to be on trend.
I'd skip the snacks and the starters. Mains were good, however, especially the venison.
All in all it's "fine" but not what I'd expect from a Michelin starred place.
Amazing dishes, beautifully presented. A real treat.
We enjoyed the meal but felt a bit let down having eaten at his restaurants in Lima and Valle Sagrado. This was good but not to the same standard.
Fantastic gastronomic experience in the heart of London
Birthday dinner on a Friday night. Good good & excellent service! Thanks to the Lima Team for an amazing time
