LiLLiES Italian Restaurant & Bar
When the weather is warm, diners can relax around mosaic tables on the terrace patio. On cooler days, the hardwood floors, candlelight and exposed brick inside make for a snug retreat. Brunch is served on both Saturdays and Sundays, and offers options for health-conscious patrons, such as a Greek yogurt parfait, and for those looking to indulge—say, in the Nutella-smothered French toast.

Quite comfortable. We sat outside in clear tent-like setting with some heat system. Meat eaters loved The New Yorker and the clam linguini was light and delicious. Nice staff and service.
Recommend!!
The food and staff were great but there was a party on the patio that was not following Covid protocol (large group, standing and moving around without masks, yelling without masks) and no one felt the need to tell them to stop. Would want to go again but not until Covid is over.
Service was great and the food was fresh and very good!! We will be back especially to try the brunch.
Very good, service very attentive but never felt rushed. Thank you!! Definitely recommend,
The only thing that detracted from the evening was the loud street noise from automobiles and pedestrians but considering we were eating outside in respect of COVID19 precautions, the restaurant should not be blamed for this.
Outdoor dining was pleasant. Service and food very good.
Would return.
Fabulous lunch after a trip to the zoo. Cocktails were generous and crisped croissant turkey sandwich was delicious
Ate on the covered patio. Lovely setting and food and service were excellent.
Great quiet location and good food!
I don't feel like writing a review but the service and food were stellar
Popular neighborhood eatery on Conn Ave a few blocks from National Zoo never fails to please. While not flashy, food is always tasty and well-prepared, friendly service, lots of choices from salads to Italian pastas, as well as burgers and fries. Casual, friendly, with good food.
Atmosphere very nice.
Food choices for vegetarians excellent. Flavors were overall lacking from the 6 different dishes our table ordered.
Service was excellent.
Wine was nice.
Nice neighborhood joint but very expensive for the quality of food.
Good food. Pleasant atmosphere. Excellent service.
Great neighborhood restaurant with a fabulous staff. Love going there.
A very special neighborhood gem! I had a quiet dinner with my daughter a few steps from where she lives. Food and service was outstanding!
Food was just so so. Not worth going again. Service was good.
My friends and I had a nice quiet dinner. We made reservations not realizing closing was early on a Sunday. We all enjoyed our dinner. And we loved the dessert. The staff were friendly.
Good food. We didn’t know we’d be limited to brunch so we were limited in choices, but the food we did get was very good and the staff were nice.
This is a charming, country inn located on one of Washington's major through streets. The couple who owns it knows how to make patrons feel embraced the minute they walk in. The wait staff is professional and personable. The food is very good and moderately priced.
It's a joy to go there.
Had good, friendly service and good food. The rack of lamb was especially delicious.
We stopped by here as it was the closest breakfast spot to the zoo, with no expectations. And we could not have been happier with our choice. Our breakfast was phenomenal!
The price for my date salad was very high for the quality of the ingredients and the presentation. Goat cheese tasted more like whipped cream cheese, berries and dates quite hard and the viniagrette not at all tasty. Disappointing all the way around although the service was quite good.
I had a good experience at Lillie’s. The drestaurant was not crowded on Labor Day. Food was really tasty. I had the Tuscan pappardelle and a lemon tart and whites chocolate cake for dessert. Service was also great!
Always love this restaurant. The staff is so pleasant and with picky restrictive diets in my family the chef always accommodates.
Very good experience
We really enjoyed this restaurant. The ambiance was wonderful; quiet and cozy but a welcoming atmosphere. Serving staff was great! Attentive but not intrusive. The food was fresh and delicious . We started with the avocado freti and had the tour of Italy and branzino. Definitely a new fave
Food and service where excellent. Only issue was the noise from a tree removal behind the restrurant while we ate. Would go back again in a minute next time in town!
This is a really nice neighborhood restaurant great location. They have a great patio and front for dining and a friendly staff with very good food. It’s not fancy but it has an extensive menu and it’s well priced
The food was not great. We got the Eggs Benedict and Brioche French Toast with a side of fruit. A lot of the food tasted as if it were frozen and reheated. The food was also very bland. The fruits had a refrigerated taste, some of the blue berries were not edible. Presentation wise, the food looked good. And the restaurant itself featured a cozy ambiance. But the food was disappointing.
We are lunch after the zoo and it was, well, meh - they have kids meals but, even at lunchtime, it was $12 for plain noodles (seriously?). Oh well.
Not the best experience. We had a large party, paid a lot of money, but it was only a mediocre experience.
We had an excellent client dinner. The private event space is worth it. Our guests felt special and the waiter Larry was fantastic! Thank you LiLLiES for an amazing event!
We loved this quaint, neighborhood restaurant near our hotel (Omni Shoreham). The food was delicious and server was very knowledgeable regarding the food/wine. Don’t miss the lemon/marscapone cake for dessert! Delicious and a good value for DC!
We sat on their lovely (covered!) patio and had a great brunch! Food was tasty, and it wasn't very crowded- unusual for the area!
Honestly, I’ve not been so disappointed in a dc restaurant lately. The food was edible at best and way overpriced. The bread was stale and food was clearly from frozen. We decided to try a new random place in the neighborhood and now I know better.
Great time!
Service was good and tentative. My food was excellent as well Andy tasty drinks.
The number in my party changed multiple times. They were very accommodating
Enjoyed a tasty lunch on the comfortable patio. Bloody Mary could have been more flavorful but the salad and dessert were delicious.
Great prices! Food is good. They were short a server and the kitchen was down some people, but they were kind and courteous even when they were running around like crazy. I will definitely go back.
