Having been to our favourite holiday location of Port Douglas we have eaten at many restaurants. Our last night we wanted something special, and the menu posted on the website drew us in. Booking was very easy, and we were greeted warmly and taken to our table which was on the veranda near the rear of the courthouse hotel. I had reservations about sitting there, but it wasn't an issue at all. Our waitress (a lovely Irish young woman) was very attentive and explained the menu well. The food choices from starters to main was absolutely delicious and great portion sizes too. I would highly recommend the Massaman Beef Curry, or the pork belly Bao buns. Like most restaurants items were on the higher side of price, but this was value for money and probably our now favourite restaurant. We will be back,

Slow to take order/receive meals, had to ask for oyster forks, oysters didn’t taste fresh, bao buns were doughy, the highlight was the chowder, great flavour, but overall a disappointment

A fantastic dining experience. We booked in for my birthday while on holidays and it was a great place to enjoy a birthday dinner. The staff were lovely, the food was outstanding and the vibe and atmosphere was beautiful. Enjoyed the entire dining experience.

This meal was very disappointing. Staff were short, orders were confused. The “risotto” is absolutely not risotto, but some type of inspired curry dish. The steak was rare instead of medium, and the fish of the day was tough and inedible. The chicken had absolutely zero flavor and was served with 1 piece of broccolini. The glasses had lipstick marks, and when staff were told, they just put it back on the shelf and got a new one. We had such high hopes for this restaurant as we’d heard good things about it, but instead it was an expensive flop. Hopefully things can pick up for what on face value looks to be a beautiful restaurant.

We were looking forward to a good dining experience, but sadly not to be. Disappointing when the speed of service is such that cocktails, entrees and mains are all served within 40 mins of arriving. Mains arrived before we had even finished entrees. My partner’s Chicken Maryland was pretty ordinary with the smallest piece of chicken (just leg) we had ever seen served as a main course. Thankfully the manager removed it from our bill. Friendly servers who do their best, but system and quality needs some attention.
