Libertine Bar & Restaurant

LOVED that we got a really nice phone call to confirm our booking. The waitress was so lovely and the food delicious. The ambience is so beautiful in the courtyard with the fairy lights. It was wonderful value for all the food and wine. Highly recommend.

My only complaint was the waitress who said “ youse” instead of you many times!!!! We all noticed it

Libertine has been a favourite for many years. Spur of the moment, special occasion, no reason at all, they are all easily accommodated by the staff and food styles. Yet to have a bad experience. If you're looking for a lovely meal, give Libertine a go. You won't be disappointed.

We were there for the New Years Eve sitting. It was the first time we had been there and loved the atmosphere. The service was excellent and we couldn’t fault any part of the menu. We would thoroughly recommend this restaurant to anyone that’s looking for something special.

A lovely NYE however some food was cold and the noise levels were off the scale. Nonetheless the outstanding staff made the evening very enjoyable. Inside is due for an upgrade and a bit of noise mitigation paneling.

What a night. The food is fantastic. The staff are faultless. Perfect way to see the new year in.

There was another table situated way too close to us. Backs of chairs were touching. Certainly not 1.5m distance. Plus the people at the other table kept spreading out while giving the younger people at our table death stares. But the people aren’t your fault. But the tables were too close. Thxxx

Amazing food, a must go for all food lovers..............

Food was incredible! Such a variety, different foods but easy enough to find something we all liked. The service was great, very friendly staff that offered suggestions when asked and created personalised service. The ambience was great, a bit of background noise as to be expected near a road but could easily hear the others at my table, and couldn’t overhear anyone else’s conversations. Would definitely return!

Loved our experience here, the food and drinks were lovely and perfect portions too. Their zucchini chips are incredible! Would definitely go back with friends and family.

After reading other online reviews of this restaurant and looking at the interesting description of the dishes, I was excited about trying this place. The decor was appropriate for the French-Vietnamese fusion theme. The kids meals were well above average and not the standard fare of fish and chips, spaghetti bolognase etc. However, the adult set menu was most disappointing. The prawn croissant was a highlight, but the spring rolls were only okay. The remaining dishes appeared to be a confusion, rather than fusion of Vietnamese and French cuisine. The crispy pork belly was dry. The Camembert cheese, truffle, chicken and vegetable dish was terrible. It tasted like a poorly executed Asian stir fry with cursory additions of truffle and cheese which clashed with the Asian flavours. We would not recommend this restaurant.

An amazing Xmas degustation with elements of its “usual” set menu.

Beautiful food, decor & service. Xmas lunch was amazing especially the pork with peaches & apple (only minor issue was getting a teaspoon instead of a dessert spoon).

Loved this dining experience, my girlfriends and I were impressed with the quality of the food and the service was prompt and professional.

My partner and I ordered the 10 course banquet, all 10 courses were pushed out in 20min. I was horrified I sent the main pork dish back it was so dry you could barely swallow it, the cabbage it was served on was disgusting and we did not eat it.

wayyyy too crowded and loud for us.. if you're after a quiet night out make sure you ask for a seat away from the masses!

We had our work Christmas party and Libertine were incredibly accommodating to our group's needs. The food and drinks were delicious, the service was fantastic and the overall experience was so positive.

I went with some friends this Saturday night. Unfortunately the service was really disappointing. We arrived and we’re not able to sit at our seats for 15 mins. We then were ignored by all wait staff for another 15-20 mins. We had to pull someone aside to ask for menus and water. Our drinks were not correct. When we asked for wine recommendations the wait staff said he would be right back but then never returned. The next waiter we asked was not familiar with the wine list which was disappointing given the bottles were not cheep. When food was delivered it was not introduced or explained to us. We had to look at other tables to work things out for ourselves. In particular a dish which required you to put a spring roll inside a lettuce leaf and poor sauce over it.
Food was amazing but unfortunately the poor service really let our night down.

This venue never ceases to amaze me. We were there to experience the French Christmas Dinner menu and it was fantastic! Generous portions and good wine recommendations. Service is always warm and friendly. Highly recommended for all occasions!

Amazing food and the staff very friendly and attentive. Highly recommend this restaurant.

Big family group with young kids made it quite noisy at first, however when they left it was more pleasant, staff not overly friendly but did there job well, best thing about the place was the food. Also mood lighting not a really great lit place.

Staff were excellent and understanding that our cinema booking ran over! Only feedback would be that the font on the menus is very small and given the darkness a little hard to read. I liked the kids menu option and good gluten free options.

The ambiance inside the restaurant is lovely with a definite French feel. The service is friendly, efficient and very professional. As December is rather hot we decided to eat inside rather than the courtyard. The restaurant was very busy on this Saturday evening and the noise level was high and this was annoying. They also don’t have a coffee machine which was disappointing. I will certainly return but in the cooler months and utilise the courtyard as I have on a previous occasion.

I’ve been twice to Libertine and on both occasions we had a banquet. Really think this is the best option as you get to try most of the menu dishes. Great music, great service and great food, which makes fir a great night! Oh, we loved the cocktails!!!
