Situated on the ground floor of the old Fade Street Tenements l’Gueuleton is a combination of exposed red brick walls, industrial beams, copper ceilings and wood floors. Candle light and music thats far from background help create our interpretation on the french bistro.

We had a fabulous meal and wine. Truly delicious. The panacotta was amazing. Staff really warm with good service. highly recommend if visiting Dublin
Really good food x
The service was outstanding, our meal was not just a thing of beauty but tasted amazing and the atmosphere was fantastic, I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a fantastic meal in a relaxed environment
Fabulous as per usual! Food is just so good in l’Gueuleton!
For us the main question in any review would be "will you return" and in this case the answer is a definite no. French Onion soup was what I considered salty and watery but the best of what we had to eat. We each ordered the ribeye steaks at 31 euro each about 10oz weight. (Retail cost in my local butcher 21 euro per kilo). Both steaks came undercooked one to the point of being inedible. Whilst we were not charged for that we would have preferred to have a meal we could enjoy and happy to pay for it. After all a steak has to be one of the easiest things to cook and so if they can't get that right then what hope. Really disappointed especially as it was recommended by a friend but sadly typical of what we now experience on Dublin restaurants. The good times don't always mean good things.
The overall was okay, the food was nice and great ambiance but the service was very poor to be honest.
We have been to L'Gueuleton a number of time over the years and have always enjoyed the experience however we were extremely disappointed on out last visit. When we arrived the waiter pointed in the direction of where we were to be seated instead of showing us to the table. The service was really poor, the waiter again seemed very disinterested and didn't communicate very much at all with us, we didn't get everything we ordered. The quality of food we did get was below standard for which we mentioned to one of the other waiters (they deducted it from our bill but I would have rather got decent food and paid for it) When we went to the count to pay our bill the lady who took the payment never made any commented on whether or not we enjoyed the food, thank you, etc.
Will we return?....I think not.
Food was really incredible. It was very busy so the service took a bit too long. I will go back though.
Very pleasant evening with lovely food and helpful, friendly staff. My only quibble was that my Eton Mess was deconstructed and when I asked that it be mashed up I had to do it myself!
Second time to try for brunch. Food is really great but service is shocking. Both times found staff arrogant and like they couldn't be bothered if we were there or not. Pity as food was good but won't be back.
Great service, fantastic food and outside space (peaceful but still great for people watching). Extra gold star for not seeing one Instagram obsessed dinner (although the food and the location were worthy). Will be back for sure!
Incredible food, friendly and helpful staff and great atmosphere. Looking forward to my next trip back already!
Disappointing food compared to last visit .
Service was very good but obviously Sunday evening is the real chefs night off !
Lovely, casual restaurant. Had the ribeye – so tasty. Also, enormous! Lady who waited on our table was warm, friendly and chilled. Definitely recommend, for two or for large groups.
Food, service etc all perfect. Nothing on the menu to dislike - making it rather tricky to decide! Looking forward to visiting again soon
I always find l'Gueuleton a very pleasant option when we are in Dublin for a day. While I might only eat here once a year, twice at most, the memory of the beautiful meal brings me back again. This time we opted for the mini dessert with coffee. Am inclined to think I will revert to full dessert next time. Perhaps that is due to taste of goat's cheese on cheesecake. Service very attentive and was delighted to be seated in the brightness of the window area. A most pleasant two hours.
Great place for a slightly fancier than normal lunch, dinner, drink. The food is great and the staff are fantastic, so friendly and capable.
Service was extremely poor apart from this I would recommend as area is great
Very enjoyable staff very friendly and helpful. Would go again
The brunch menu had a nice selection of dishes (def recommend the Crab Cakes or Korean Tacos). Drinks menu was great too. Service was friendly and quick, will definitely be back.
We we able to get a reservation for Saturday evening through Open Table. We were greeted at the door and seated within a few minutes at the best table in restaurant for 2 people (quiet and at the window). The service and food were outstanding; steak and frites. It was a wonderful meal and very nice experience. We would definitely return when we return Dublin.
We had a lovely dining experience. Food, service, ambiance were all excellent. I would dine again and recommend to friends.
Was lovely.. enjoyable evening.. food was gorgeous and service was prompt and waiter was engaging.. only issue was with the app not being recorded that we attended. And marked as s no show.. otherwise a very enjoyable evening
Excellent service, great food, definitely worth a visit.
Lovely food and friendly service. Good haven on a wet evening.
Nice lunch, food was nice value not so great. I had asked to have a nice table as my sister travelled home from Oz to get married and this was her pre wedding lunch with myself and bridemaids and mother. We were shown to a random table which obviously wasn’t reserved for us as it was in the darkest dullest area of the restaurant beside the kitchen. Disappointing! Asked to be moved and they told us it would be another wait. Wouldn’t go back really.
Had not been to l'Gueuleton for years, but I definitely won't leave it for so long the next time. Had lunch with 2 friends, and we were all really pleased with our meals. Top quality.
Absolutely delicious Brunch menu. Very reasonable prices and a lovely, cool ambience on a hot and sticky Dublin Sunday.
I came here for brunch a couple of months ago and really enjoyed it so decided to give it another go.
Service was slow and we were seated outside. It took us to call a member of staff to come over and take our order. Our food arrived before our drinks and we had to ask again for water.
While sitting outside was nice enough, we were hassled for money a couple of times while trying to eat. No staff presence really made the whole thing feel like we were just put outside out of the way.
The wait staff we interacted with were nice and they declared as we went inside to pay our bill that they were short staffed as someone called in sick which is fair enough, but it affected our experience as a customer. I’d reconsider going back but request a table indoors.
The brunch was excellent. The seating outdoors was wonderful with a great view. I recommend the eggs Benedict
There wasn't a vegan option on the menu but the chef cooked up a very nice dish for me. Great atmosphere and very pleasant service.
Delicious food, good atmosphere, good value.
We were a group of 5 friends meeting to catch up over lunch, and everything that each of us ordered was lovely! The selection included Croque Monsieur, Gambas salad, Vegetarian Filo Pie, Steak Sandwich. The fries with béarnaise are out of this world.
Wines were, of course, very nice. The house wine is great and keenly priced.
We all opted for the "coffee with tiny selection of sweets" and this was really lovely too.
Staff were very helpful.
Excellent food with real flavor !
Unpretentious Restaurant that packs a punch .
Great night out .
Dinner was absolutely devine, we both had the goats cheese and fig starter. Best starter ever, I had the pork belly and my husband had the best steak ever (his words) and we share the strawberry eton mess (its a must) and lovely wine.
Not a classical dining experience. Very limited choices on menu Service was lacking especially as listed as French dining
Very friendly staff, good menu and the food was excellent. Wine list a bit on the pricey side for good French wine.
Happening spot.... the food was good and server was friendly but it was really slow... both the appetizers and the entrees took a long (long) time to come out. The wine list was okay but not good for an enthusiast.
We had a wonderful few hours celebrating our parents 60th Wedding Anniversary. The food was fantastic and the staff were soooo nice to our parents and made sure that they were looked after. The pork belly was outstanding. Can't wait to go back. Highly recommend A ++++
Great night. Staff were amazing and food delicious!
Started I had prawn tortellini, it was amazing! Steak even better for main! Highly recommend! Top class!
