Amazing place to celebrate a special occasion, celebrated my birthday & was made to feel very special!
Confusing Menu choices
Beautiful views from the restaurant/cellar door and exceptional food.
We got the 5-course meal that was shared amongst the table and it was surprisingly filling. Wines were great and I love the tasting wine sets. It was great that we were able to stay for 5 hours as we thought we would have to leave after 2 hours but they were able to accomodate us.
Interesting menu hard to follow and had to be explained more than once. Enjoyed the experience but did find the cost a bit too much and maybe not enough choice.Ambience and decor great.
Great venue, food awesome and the wine flight was just right. Recommend
The food was amazing, and we particularly enjoyed the Snack.
I took my daughter therefor a birthday lunch when she visited from Canberra. We were very disappointed with the service. The sommelier stepped in to help as they were understaffed and he was wonderful and funny. The lady who poured the wine was knowledgeable and friendly. The allocated server was too busy. We had to even ask for a napkin 10 minutes into our meal coming out. It took us another 10 minutes to get someones attention. It was quiet obvious that we needed help with something and we were ignored.
I was concerned as I had recommended a friend to visit on saturday. All seems to have gone well for her.
I organise medium sized functions very regularly and my daughter has been in hospitality for years so the lack of service was very notable to us.
The wait time in-between courses was dragged out a bit too long as well.
Overall I was a little disappointed.
Superb ambience and location. The only downside was a bit of a wait for our (pre booked) table and a fairly limited menu.
Fantastic atmosphere and exceptional service. Food and wine was delicious but a bit overpriced for what it was. They are doing set degustation menus whereas in the past had à la carte which I found better value as you can choose to share or not
It rained and seating was not protected. Not even a table umbrella. All were being used. We booked two weeks ago and did not ask for an outside table. Plenty of advance notice . The fact we did not specifically ask for something undercover meant we were allocated outside. Our fault I guess. But certainly not a pleasant memory. We left after 30 minutes.
The food was fine, but nothing special for the price. The pre-meal nibbles were enjoyable. My piece of chicken (with saffron sauce) was still quite pink at the bone, so couldn't eat it all. The beef manti was OK. The spiced cauliflower samosa was lovely. The saffron creme fraiche semifreddo didn't have much taste (rather unusual texture) but the strawberries were nice on top.
The service was good. We sat outside on a beautiful afternoon and the surroundings were lovely.
The most incredible dining experience. The venue is everything and more with extremely friendly and accommodating staff. Our special occasion was acknowledged and recognised with a beautiful gesture and could not be more grateful of recommend this place anymore. A wonderful venue filled with amazing people.
Awesome fresh food with delightful flavours and the staff are so attentive and bubbly. Lovely aspect and very relaxing place for one of the best lunches I have had the pleasure of sharing .
Changed menu not a success
Food is great and the service was fantastic. Unfortunately we were seated outside and it was a little windy.
Our dining experience for my son's birthday was fantastic. The food was excellent. Our server was Bri and she was lovely. We could see her smiling behind her mask. She wanted to make our day special and she did. She was very observant and her service to our table was exceptional!!! Thank you Levantine Hill and Bri. We will be back!!!
Magnificent setting, great service, delicious food. Total fabulousness
Friendly, attentive and knowledgeable staff looked after us and the food was amazing. The king fish Ceviche and the pork belly were highlights.
Gorgeous day! Perfect weather which helped! Wasn’t a big fan of the wines selected for us - but that’s subjective. Food was presented beautifully but it was under seasoned in parts - MINOR details. Overall a beautiful day. Oh and Emily the manager was lovely!
Magnificent food and service - 10/10.
The chefs starter choice was out of this world with variety and taste - couldn’t have picked it better myself.
The wait staff were so attentive, knowledgeable and personable.
Loved every bit of the experience
Over priced and certainly didn't live up to expectations. Paying for a wine tasting, no thanks. And even then stingy with the pours. Much nicer options in the valley at a lower price point. A tourist trap designed appropriately rather than a local gem
We had a marvelous time at Levantine Hill. Their wine flights were fantastic and all of the food was superb. We will definitely be back.
Chose the 5 course menu for lunch after discussing with the wait staff, was told 5 would be more than enough for 2 people. Disappointingly small serving sizes followed. Service was indifferent. Would chose a different YV restaurant for next significant occasion.
Cannot express how much of a rip off this is. We have eaten here before and found it expensive but quite good food. We eat out regularly and will happily splurge on a meal. But this experience was $400-plus for four average dishes, Four glasses of wine and some “snacks”. I understand covid has created challenges for restaurants but this was, in a word- Ridiculous! Will not be going back.
The food was absolutely divine, love the scent of the candle I purchased from their gift shop
I had a fantastic time when recently visiting the winery. Marcus and Sheridan were wonderful and I would like to thank them for their service! The food was amazing and the wines were of course spectacular. I can not wait to come back!
Great Food, exceptional service and a great venue.
Great food , great service , can’t wait to go back
As usual a wonderful experience
Great service and attention
Awesome food, even better wine :)
Service was exceptional.
Our fourth time here. Everything was excellent except the chicken was a bit bland. The only reason for "just" 4 stars is our booking was rescheduled due to lack of space - but then that's really the fault of Open Table (the booking platform) more than the restaurant I guess.
Disappointing having all members of the group choose same dishes- no variation for individual tastes. Not advised of this at time of booking,
For the price we paid for the 7-course menu we were disappointed in the quality of the food. The sharing platter was very tasty and fresh, especially the dips. But other dishes were too fatty (lamb) or inconsistently cooked (calamari tips were burnt so was some of the pastry of the beetroot tart). One coffee was too bitter to drink. Overall the food lacked creativity for the price tag. The wines were very nice, and the service was attentive and friendly. I think the confusing menu structure led to the wrong dish being brought out by the staff. The setting is stunning. Lovely place to visit, especially for a glass of wine and maybe some snacks, but not a full meal based on the current standard.
We paid $50 for a small Turkish pizza. Seriously. And it wasn’t even that tasty. Then $70 for two tiny Kobe need skewers. What we were really paying for was the $8m overspend on the wedding venue next door. What a shame.
Greeted by lovely staff with exceptional professionalism. Great wine tasting experience with an array of options. We had the grazing menu which we couldn’t fault. Looking forward to going back again, will always be highly recommended.
Very enjoyable and a lovely space. Would happily visit again!
If you can get a seat in the hobbit hole banquettes, they are idea for creating intimacy and reducing noise from the concrete floor. Menu has something for everyone. Would love to see a rielsling on the wine list but I appreciate we are in the Yarra Valley
beautiful food and view, friendly service and a wonderful musical duo added to the already pleasant atmosphere - will come again!
