Really enjoyed eating here. The atmosphere was relaxed, fun and vibrant. Music provided by a DJ. Great service and the food is amazing. Great way to eat and share a number of dishes. Cocktails were the best I've had! Will go again.
Great service with friendly attentive staff. Every dish was delicious. Would highly recommend.
Having asked for a quiet table and told we could not move, could not think straight about what I was ordering.
Menu was full of arty-arty food and mostly contained green leaves with a dressing and a small amount of protein.
They did make amends when the waitress dropped cutley onto my husband's shirt and stained it with a red sauce.
Not an experience that I personally would go to again.
Great experience all round, look forward to our next visit already.
Delicious food, very attentive service and central location.
We had the pre-theatre menu. Good choice of dishes all well prepared and presented. A plus on this visit, compared to previous, was that the timing from the kitchen was much better serving only 2 dishes at a time, which is preferable when there are only two people dining. Staff very friendly and waitresses Kitti and Stephania in particular.
Amazing food - definately will be going back. Cocktails were great. The music could have been a little lower.
Really nice place with great food and friendly staff. The food portions are small (tapas style) but reasonably priced and tasted amazing! We had a drink here earlier that day and was remembered by staff later that evening which was a nice touch.
Overall we had a good visit, reflected in the four star rating but there were a couple of slight negatives. The first is that we visited on a Saturday afternoon and although it did say on the website there would be a DJ playing the music was ridiculously loud. Luckily our waiter was amazing and got us moved to an outdoor table. Service was fantastic.
The food was lovely - a point to note is that all the dishes contain chilli so if you have a very low heat tolerance this is not the place for you - and the other small negative is that the plates are small so you need to order quite a few, so in terms of value it can become expensive very easily.
Loved the idea of Mexican tapas and the staff were excellent at explaining the ordering. On arrival food was excellent. We sat outside but wasn’t affected by any noise from Leicester Square itself. Inside was designed very well and toilets were spotless.
Will certainly go again.
Absolutely fantastic food and very friendly and helpful waiting staff
Very poor food. Service was too quick - they were removing plates before you'd finished. Shame, as could be a good restaurant but food was very poor. For example, the chicken matchsticks, were like a bad KFC put in a metal container. The aubergine was chewy and seems it had Tesco value coleslaw poured over it. The fish tasted very salty and slightly off (made you gag). Generally not good at all. Would not return.
The food, until the very last part that I ate, was extraordinarily good. My asparagus plate came in two parts, the tops on one set of skewers, the bottoms on the other. The tops were perfectly cooked, and really, really well seasoned, but the bottoms were absolutely inedible. They could not even be cut because they were so woody. The service was the worst I’ve ever seen. A glass of wine ordered before anything else was not delivered until after we had finished our guacamole and after the rest of the food was delivered. We asked four times for that glass of wine. One of our four waiters explained that they were very busy. Doing what!?! If they can’t deliver a glass of wine before, or at the very least with, the first dish, then they need another wine pourer. Being too busy is an invitation for diners to take some of the pressure off the restaurant by not returning.
Ordering the food was a comedy of errors. We had three waiters come to our table before we could order. The first one said that his colleague would come back and give us a list of vegetarian food. No colleague gave us a list of anything. The next waiter asked for our order. We explained we were waiting for a list. The original waiter came back and said it wasn’t a list, it was a selection. That was unclear – – a selection of items that he chose for us or a list? The original waiter came back and asked what we were having. We explained about the list. He went away and another waiter came back and said we don’t have a list. He tried to explain every dish on the menu. I interrupted and simply asked, Is this one vegetarian? Is this one vegetarian? He responded to my questions. Then he went away. Then a fourth waiter came and took the order. I will mever return to that restaurant and would advise all to stay away unless you want a good slapstick comedy instead of a nice meal.
The cacophony and the fact that the random arrangement of high and low seats (one’s face at another’s backside) are unpleasant.
My fourth visit to LSK and again very pleased with our experience. It is a great place for pre theatre supper and the food not too heavy for a few hours of sitting down in a usually uncomfortable theatre! The food and service are excellent and whilst not cheap certainly not expensive for what it is, very tasty. The drinks are expensive but probably not to out of sync with the surrounding eateries and pubs. Finally the service has on every occasion been excellent.
Come across this on the off chance as it was close to Prince of Wales theatre, but what a great find! Great bit if nosh.
I'm a hard marker, hence service was a marked as good not very good as it truly was good and not a reason to not go back. The food was well described in that it is on the spicy side of the heat scale. Considering the food on offer, I did think the wine list could be improved to more suit the food.We went for a double purpose birthday and pre theatre dinner. Our party of three had a great night there.
Great restaurant, staff are attentive but not fussing over you the whole time. Food is fantastic, great variety but not for those that cant take spicy...they are true to the Mexican and Peruvian heritage!
We will definitely return to this restaurant. We loved the small plate options. The choices were vibrant and interesting.
Excellent food apart from the chicken wings which were slightly too salty. Lorna, our waitress, was terrific.
Amazing food, drinks and service, Antonio really looked after us. Cool vibe in the resatuaunt despite being right in the middle of tourist central. Also not too expensive for the standard of the food - prawn tacos, sea bass ceviche and smoked chicken salad with cashews particularly standout. Oh and the lychee chilli margarita 😍
Amazing!!! I would highly recommend, the team explained the food in detail and made it easy to make the right choices xx
Awesome food and cocktails. Special thanks to Daniel who was outstanding with the service, very professional and friendly. Was very receptive to feedback too. Definitely going back!
Overall the food was good, but also really spicy.
There were some challenges from a seevice perspective:
a bowl of nachos and was put on the table, later it turned out they were costing 7+GBP. I think you need to ask or at least mention it, if it is not for free.
First courses came really quickly, but the. It felt like they forgot us. We had to remind them several times.
In the end we just did not feel welcomed anymore.
But I would give it a try again.
We were very intrigued to try Peruvian tapas and some of the flavour combinations were unusual with black lime being used in a few dishes that we tried. Everything tasted lovely although the broccoli dish had hot chilis in that overwhelmed the other flavours we thought. The service and ambience was perhaps a little more formal than we expected but all in all it was a nice experience.
A buzzy place with attentive service. We had the pre-theatre menu, which offered some promising choices that were a bit different in terms of tapas. We particularly enjoyed the duck salad. It’s nice to know somewhere you can go before going to the theatre where you can get through the courses in time; my only criticism would be that the courses came a little too fast; we had hardly finished one before the dishes were whisked away and the next course arrived! Perhaps a simple question about how long you have to dine would enable them to pace the delivery a little better. Otherwise, I’d recommend it.
The Mexican contemporary food is fantastic! - especially if you like spicy/hot cuisine. You essentially choose 2 to 3 sharing plates per person from different sections of the menu. We were there at lunch time on a very rainy Monday and the place was virtually deserted. As a result we got over eager attention from the waiting staff! To the point where we felt hassled and hounded. We asked our server several times that we would draw her attention when we needed her and not to disturb us otherwise but we kept getting intruded on. On more than one occasion the plates were being cleared even before everybody on the table had finished! The ambience in the place is lovely but would be noisy if it was full. Would definitely go back for the food though...
Nothing special. Lots of people on shift standing around doing nothing making us feel uncomfortable kept standing next to the till and Chatting close where our table was. When we ordered our food we were asked if were sure that will be enough, I get upselling is a thing but we ordered 6 different things and weren’t that hungry so again made us feel uncomfortable. Just wasnt as pleasant experience as I thought so for the money we paid. Food was lovely tho.
A gorgeous meal & friendly staff who made it easy for us to have a quick meal before getting back to the theatre - I’d highly recommend a visit
Great food - fantastic staff - really surprised at the quality of the food in the middle of touristy Leicester Square
Really recommend this place
Great food, service and ambience. Second visit and will definitely be back
Sophisticated and very tasty dishes. The service was great too. high-end food! We recommend this restaurant!
Have been there multiple times and love the varied flavours of the food. Very nice heat. Service is outstanding and attentive.
food was excellent, with the qualifier that one must like spicy food - if so, this is the place for you. The food was creative, fun but hot! (servers warn customers about this). I highly recommend the restaurant, particularly if <40 (which were decidedly were not), as there is a good (but loud) vibe to the place. Wait staff was also outstanding. I highly recommend
This is one of the best places I have ever dined in. Everything is spot on in this place. Great decor and ambience. The food was fantastic as were our drinks.
Lets move on the staff. The staff were probably the best and most efficient I have ever experienced. Our waiter MARCO in particular was amazing, was so attentive, but never invasive, just perfect. We also noticed the other waiters and waitresses were really good as well, obviosuly down to great managment.
Thankyou for you an enjoyable experience.
My favourite new restaurant
The waiters were more pre occupied with serving the people on the next table. We clearly didnt get the same attention as them.
Demitris was lovely and friendly and so were the bar staff. The food was amazing as well! Absolutely gorgeous! The only problem was when we walked in the blonde lady with glasses at the front of house wanted to sit us at a table right in front of the door where there was a big draft coming through. We asked if we could wait for a better table and all she kept repeating was that they had some big tables in. She then came back to us and said she could seat us at a different table if we waited for 30 minutes. We waited and we sat at a lovely table- and were then handed over to the lovely Demetris.
Excellent service well looked after by Dimitri
Antonio the waiter was brilliant. Delivered excellent, informative service and super friendly.
