Chinese
Lee Ho Fook means ‘good fortune for your mouth’ - inspired from the Warren Zevon lyrics in Werewolves of London.
A Chinese restaurant, hidden down a Melbourne laneway, off the iconic Flinders Lane dining precinct.

Our cuisine takes the legacy of deliciousness given to us by generations of Chinese Australians and taking it to a highly personal and creative direction.

A new style of Chinese cuisine.

From the mind of Victor Liong.

They quote that their main courses are encouraged to be shared dishes so we ordered a prawn dish which was very good but we only received 5 prawns between 2 people @ $ 72 for the course. Overall good experience but could do with some fine tuning

Cosy and warm, lovely staff. Scallops/Pecking Duck/special seafood rice and Vesper cocktail all delicious. Great to be able to BYO wine on Wednesday nights. Thank you for a lovely evening.

Everything was fantastic. Except for servicing the food. Each menu item came very slow.

Outstanding meal, from the prawn toast to the jasmine rice dessert. Well worth splurging on the lobster, too, if it's an option. As always, I came away wondering why I don't go back more often.

Went for my birthday. We started with the prawn toast, and we now think it's the best prawn toast in Melbourne. If you don't like sea-urchin, like me, do not let that put you off. It was an amazing textural and taste explosion. The Crispy Eggplant with spiced red vinegar is why we went, and it did not disappoint. So good. Our table shared a small Peking Duck, which was very good, and the wagyu short rib in black pepper sauce - also very good. We shared a bottle of the Stefano Lubiana Blaufrankisch and it went well with the duck and beef. Didn't have room for dessert, but the staff gave me a little "Happy Birthday" plate with a jelly and a small custard which was silky and delicious. A wonderful meal, would recommend this place and will be returning (hopefully) soon.

Starters were good. The cucumber starter was delicious. Then we had the prawn toast which was good but not outstanding. The sea urchin roe was kind of plopped on top of the toast and just needed a little more love. Then came the curry prawns main at $88. It was bad. The curry lacked depth and was bland. My wife could not even eat the prawns because the flavor was so bad. The lobster in Xo sauce was average at best. The xo sauce had no chili heat and just tasted like shrimp paste. I really expected so much more from our visit. Maybe my expectations were too high but when you pay $450 for 2 people with one bottle of wine I was hoping for a little more flavor. Sorry chef but it was not great. Maybe it was just a bad night. I hope it gets better because I know how hard it is to run and work in a restaurant .
