Food was great. Service was impeccable!
Did a good job setting up outdoor seating. Love the energy and the friendly waiter.
The food here was SO delicious and well made. The staff was attentive, kind and gave great recommendations. The whole place had a very cute French vibe and the prices were very reasonable. The drinks were delicious and strong as well! We went for brunch and sat on the sidewalk, wasn’t even very noisy.
I hadn't been back here since they reopened with outdoor dining. I always prefer an inner garden rather than dining on the sidewalk, and the garden here is perfect. I've lived in France for years and this place makes me feel like I'm back there. Terrific food, excellent service (handsome even with the masks!), decent wine selection, welcoming atmosphere. Le Privé is great for dinner and particularly delicious for brunch. I hope they enjoy a successful reopening--they deserve it!
Everything was amazing! Beautiful ambiance, food and staff. Definitely going back!
Family dinner. We had the steak tartare, escargot and seared scallop special for apps. I had the steak frites au poiirve and my sons had the moule frites and bouillabaisse. The service was excellent and so was every dish. We will be back. Kudos to the staff. This is certainly not business as usual and we had the perfect evening thanks to them.
Not sure who messed up on this night but we never got 2 meals and a side salad that were all ordered at the same time. The waiter kept walking past our table pretending not to notice that only 3 out of our party of five had any food in front of them for about 20 minutes. My salad with poulet was somehow the saltiest salad I’ve ever tasted. The gazpacho was absolutely terrible. They took off three drinks as a courtesy but we still had to pay for 3 terrible gazpachos that were almost untouched, a salty salad and a burger that was pretty average.
Great food. They didn’t have a space for us despite a reservation, but they did make a space in about 15min. Took us 45 min to get our champagne, which is longer than we wanted for brunch. Food was excellent - charcuterie plate, salmon tartine, steak tartar - and friendly staff. Need a fan in the back room for air movement. But, given the delicious food, we will return!
The steak Frites was FABULOUS even if it wasn't the finest cut of steak. It was thick juicy and prepared as ordered. The Frites were wonderful. My friends loved their salmon, steak tartare, and lamb burger. And of course we all enjoyed beignets for dessert with the complimentary port. Most of all we were able to relax and hear each other speak which is not always the case at pre-theater dinners.
Came here with a large group before a play and had a wonderful dinner, wine and service!! THANKS!
Terrific waiter who grew up in Paris and was fun to chat with. Food was good but the brussel sprouts weren't great, and they kindly took them off the bill. It's too loud for me, but I find most restaurants to be too loud lol. Lovely neighborhood French spot.
Amazing food, excellent service. We'll be back.
I enjoyed the great tasting French cuisine!!
Great French food. Great cocktails. Service was excellent !
The paella was very good and an interesting take on this dish. Creme caramel also delicious. I had one of their special cocktails with a lot of kiwi in it which was too much. But I did not complain to the very sweet waiter, so I guess that's on me. Was there early and it was quiet. Lovely space and ambience.
Really enjoyed it and the food was very tasty! I would go again!
We had a great pre-show meal with friends to celebrate a birthday. Food was delicious, staff are legit French which adds to the character and authenticity. We’ll be back.
Post matinee late lunch/early dinner 5:00 pm- no crowd - had frisée salad, l’onion soup, chicken and Branzino - food was very good - service very good and attentive, downside flat soda, and tiny cappuccino table no room to eat dinner - great value
I made a reservation and arrived on time, and they said it would be 30 minutes. Then I gave them my number to text me when it was ready and they never did! Thank god we found another restaurant in the area.
We spent Valentine’s Day here and it was perfect. The harp and clarinet players mixed perfectly with the overall experience of dining at Le Prive and the food and service was terrific from start to finish. We will definitely be stopping by again.
Le Privè was absolutely amazing. Eunice was our server he made us feel so comfortable. He was also helpful with selecting wine and our entrees, it felt like we were transported to France! The music was great, the food was excellent. I love the French music along with the ambience, very romantic. I recommend for date night. I really appreciated the manager coming over and making us feel welcomed, he’s doing an amazing job. Would definitely come here again!
Thrilled to have this lovely French restaurant in our neighborhood. Everyone who works here is very friendly and energetic. Wine was terrific and they even had an IPA beer that pleased my picky husband. Loved the Onion Soup! We had the Salmon and the Branzino and were very, very happy! Had a perfect ending with the beignets! Bravo "Le Prive|!"
Me and my fiancé love Le Prive for its amazing Parisian food, ambiance and great location (near the theatre district) and it’s one of our regular date night spots. We booked on Valentine’s Day for a nice dinner before a broadway show. But when we arrived, the host told us that we would have 1 hour to complete our entire meal because they had overbooked.
This wasn’t communicated beforehand and they even called me the day of to confirm my reservation and didn’t tell us that we would only have one hour to dine. We ended up rushing through our appetizers and main course to get to dessert before walking through Times Square trying to kill time before our show because dinner was so quick.
Normally love this place and will attend again but maybe not for holidays because it seems like they tend to overbook.
Good service and food.
Find myself going back here al the time. Best French restaurant in NYC! Amazing food, wine ambience and staff, it’s like a little escape to Paris. The magret de canard (duck) is my absolute favorite dish, its pure perfection! Servers also always recommend the perfect wines.
We arrived to the restaurant early. The were extremely accommodating. The took our bags and sat us at the bar until our table was ready. Two of us shared a half dozen raw oysters. They were fresh loved the vinegarette. And the other person had the pate’ which was delicious as well.
We decided to stay at the bar to eat our dinner. The bar was big and bustling but fun. The bartender Austin, was knowledgeable about wine and very accommodating. We loved her.
Being this is a French restaurant, we had different expectations for the food. I ordered salmon and it was served in a bed of sauce. And the steak frites were also covered in sauce. Drowning actually. Normally French food has sauce that is light and sparse. I felt as if this was an Italian style French restaurant.
The wine selection was lovely though and there were generous pours. All in all. The flavors were good. But would recommend apps and wine only
One of the best French onion soups I’ve ever had! The food was overall very delicious. Our server was pleasant and very attentive. Would certainly love to come back.
fantastic amazing service and quality food
Excellent experience, the food and our waiter was top
Notch! Made our experience a delight!
Another great evening at Le Prive! Very attentive service at the bar, delicious food, local but chic atmosphere. Le Prive continues to be my "go to" place. A bientot!
A charming restaurant with good food and great service - it reminded me or bistros in Paris. I’ve already recommended it to friends in NYC.
We had a wonderful dinner on a snowy cold night before a show.
The service was fantastic and our food was delicious. The restaurant has a nice, warm, cozy feel.
The warm goat cheese salad was out of this world and I would return just for the salad! We had the cheese plate, mussels, and lamb burger, and the frites. All delicious! Will definitely return.
This place is great. Why there isn't a line out the door amazes me... it is a perfect French bistro.
Great food, great service.
We had our dinner club at Le Prive. I chose French to start the new year and it was a big hit! Lovely restaurant and staff. We were a party of 6 and it was quiet when we arrived for 7pm reservations. Seems more diners show up for 8pm. Our waiter was so nice and helpful with the menu as we have a new vegan and a vegetarian in the group.
Everyone loved their food. I had the Griot, braised and fried pork, grilled asparagus, pickled onions. Yummy. I could definitely have had a second serving it was so delicious. I tried my friend's roasted brussels sprouts with bacon. Absolutely delicious!
Definitely a winner and I can't wait to come back.
Great food; good wines choices albeit a bit pricey per glass; servers are engaging and energetic; not much for decor but the focus on great food and service was spot on! Will definitely recommend and refer others to dine there.
atmosfera fasulla e fintamente francese; presentazione dei piatti grossolana e cibo di pessima qualità; locale sporco e poco accogliente.
Excellent classic French bistro fare in a lovely, chic and friendly atmosphere. Staff look great and everyone is gracious and accommodating. Everything is made in house, including condiments, and is delicious!
Le Prive has become a go to place for me. I love the service-really superb. The food never disappoints.
Everything was excellent and the service was friendly and very attentive I would definitely recommend
