Indulge in the seafood platter for two, or our locally famous pepper steak . We aim to source as much local produce as possible and the Wagyu eye fillet is MSA graded with a high marble score.
Le Parisien also has an extensive drinks selection ranging from martinis to Penfolds Grange and Henschke Hill of Grace. End the visit with one of the mouth watering desserts and a cognac.

Very disappointing. Took a Melbourne friend to lunch, I'd suggested it was worth the drive down here. It wasn't. The main chicken dish, chicken on barley with broad beans was exactly that. Bland. Talentless. Tasteless. My 85 year old mother in law could have produced this but would never have served it to a guest, or family for that matter. No bread provided. Salt and pepper had to be requested and was absolutely necessary to add some taste to the chicken dish. Expensive, we wouldn't have minded if the food had been worth it, embarrassing because it most definitely wasn't.
Would not recommend. Food was below average. Incorrect meal brought out, husband had finished his by the time mine had arrived, meal was below average for the high price. Then offered 1 drink to make up for the mistake. Over priced, food nothing like pictures on the website. Waitress didn't care at all. Because of the experience, we have cancelled our Christmas function that was booked in. I would not want to be delivering that same experience to others at all. Not a fine dining experience. Very disappointed. Website had pictures of beautiful food, very deceiving.
Food was quite good, but service was well below par! Our water glasses were never topped up without having to ask, and our wine was topped up by us each time! We had to request a second bottle as the staff certainly didn’t check to see if we needed anything. We were given a complimentary nibblie which was delicious, but the plate sat on the table until after we finished entree. The staff didn’t remember what we ordered, hence steak knife given to wrong oerson and food likewise! When walking back from the bathroom a kitchen staff member was descending the back stairs, whilst having a conversation with someone else, language not good, don’t expect to hear the “f” word at that venue. Bill paid prior to leaving, and as we left, no one said good bye or thank you? We descended the stairs looking at each other in bewilderment and surprise. The restaurant was not busy, so no excuse for very average service. Expect a much higher standard from a restaurant with this good reputation. I have been several times before but unsure whether I would return!
Fantastic service, delicious food and wonderful ambience. Always feels like a special occasion when we go here
We were given a voucher as a wedding gift.....enjoyed the meal before the restaurant changes hands to a new owner.
The location and setting is amazing. The waiting staff are very attentive, polite and friendly. The food was good, but not great compared to a recent Melbourne dining experience. The food was overpriced for what we received. A lovely night overall but won't be going back in a hurry.
The reason we came to the restaurant that night was that our son Craig started his apprentice with John Paul Temple and thought it would be nice to come back for a visit to the restaurant as he has been working overseas for many years as an Executive Chef in 5 Star Hotels and it worked out that he would be home that night before flying out the next day to the Cook Islands starting a new position as the Resort Manager at 2 resorts over there.
Fantastic food and service. Sorry that Jean-Paul and the family are finishing up soon
The meals were nice, but not fabulous, especially because the price is a little elevated, one expects fabulous. The service was very slow. Even to get us our first bottle of wine, I had to get up to order it for a second time. Staff are very friendly, though. In general, a little overpriced for the quality of the food and service.
A really fabulous night out. Staff were pleasant without being intrusive. Food was delicous. Wine was fab! Thanks!
Just beautiful. On a wintery day it was a perfect way to spend the afternoon celebrating a birthday. Food & service never disappoints. This was our second visit & we will be back again for sure. Thanks for being awesome.
Could not wish for a better night with family and great staff and good wine.
Night was spoilt but a table full of drunk people who the waiters/waitresses did little if anything to deal with. These people were loud, obnoxious and were knocking chairs over. Very distracting and concerning for other diners. Also, wine was average for the cost per bottle. Food and waiter were good
My husband and I thought the service was brilliant but it was very quiet being a lunch... I haven't been when it has been busy... Very comfortable and beautiful view across the bay... Our meal was superb, could not fault it in any way.... We will be back... but I do hope it stays a French Restaurant.... Sad to see John Paul leave....
Been getting the seafood platter for 10 years at least 3 times a year
Saturday night we ordered again and not great. Crab was half cooked muscles were average. Even the cray fish was funky For 295 it should be amazing.
Probably the last time we will be in.
The food was very good, only bettered by our excellent waitress, Ruby.
A great evening.
Nice quiet setting, food is delicious. Nice to celebrate special occasion with family.
Had a lovely express lunch meal with my daughter and the food was excellent as expected and the service was very good. We had a very special time together over food.
A wonderful night, great food, great wine and very good service
We are consistently impressed with Le Parisien for our special occasions. Great food and exceptional service!
Lovely dinner, made to feel very comfortable dining alone. The food was lovely and great service.
My favourite place to eat! Beautiful spot, lively service and absolutely delicious food!
The service was very good and we were made to feel very special. The downside was it was very expensive. Seafood palter for 2 - $295!!! - wont be doing that again!!
We had a great tim celebrating my wife birthday. Beautiful place to hold the event
Great atmosphere and beautiful, authentic French food. Service was very attentive, but not intrusive.
Three well done steaks when we ordered them all medium. We didn't bother sending them back as we were hungry. For the price you'd expect things to be perfect.
Upon arrival, the very friendly staff offered us drinks without providing a wine list/drinks menu, then also a "starter' while awaiting other members of our party - again without offering a menu.
Drinks were ordered and took around 30 minutes to arrive. We had to ask twice if our drinks were on the way. It took quite a long time for the wait staff to return to take our orders for meals. There were tables free on the night, so we can only assume they weren't "busy" unless they were short staffed on the night??
I had the chicken and mushroom crepe special which was very bland. No salt or pepper present on the table. We asked for salt and pepper. Wait staff waited for us to finish with it, prepared to take it away with them once we were finished. We had to ask if we could keep the shakers at our table.
Meals, although quite flavorsome, chicken and pork dishes were quite dry. My sister had to send her steak back as it was cooked very rare, rather that medium to well done which is what she asked for. Once returned she said it was very nice and well cooked, however for the prices of the meals at LeParisien, I don't believe we should need to send a meal back?
Meal servings as expected in a fine dining restaurant were quite small, with the expectation that sides are ordered to bulk up the meal, again reasonable if however the quality is superb. In this instance, I have had better meals elsewhere for a much cheaper price. For exmaple, there are now two other French restaurants in Geelong that well surpass LeParisien in quality and value for money. I wouldn't recommend you waste your time or money until LeParisien picks up their game.
Our family was celebrating my birthday and had a wonderful time. Everything was fantastic, beautiful food and great service made our night so good.
Ambience is classic. Seating is comfortable. Friendly staff were very helpful. The meal was scrumptious and the presentation was of a very high standard. The staff allowed us to make minor alterations to the offer without extra charge. Fabulous experience and we will go again. Highly recommended!!
We really enjoyed this restaurant for a special occasion the setting is lovely great atmosphere staff very attentive and knowledgeable, the menu is great good French food done beautiful even for a nice night out to some where special this is the place in Geelong. Thank you for a lovely night well done to all of you!
Outstanding service and menu items on the set lunch menu you delicious and also great value for money for such a beautiful dining location.
The food was fantastic and the setting is as beautiful as ever. We had a really fabulous evening at Le Parisien.
I chose Le Parisien as my spouse and I are relatively recent arrivals in the Geelong area, and I was looking for a special spot to celebrate her birthday.
Upon arrival, we were greeted by our friendly server and escorted to our table, which boasted a great view of the bay and waterfront. Menus and the wine list followed promptly after, accompanied by a complimentary sample of chowder, which was excellent.
The server was very knowledgeable about both the dishes on offer and the wines to accompany them. My spouse is quite fearful of overly spicy food; but our server convinced her that the chilli cream sauce for the chicken roulade was very mild. Afterward, my spouse remarked that she was so glad that she had the chilli cream sauce, as it perfectly complimented the other flavours in the meal.
From my own experience, I can happily report that the pork fillet offered a similar range of flavours equally well balanced.
The service was fantastic; dishes arrived and were cleared promptly, without ever leaving us feeling rushed or hurried in any way.
All in all, a magnificent meal with perfectly chosen wine, in a beautiful space with great views, provided with exemplary service.
I cannot rate our experience highly enough.
This was a great dining experience for my wife and I on our anniversary. This was our second time at the restaurant and on both occasions we have not been disappointed. Whilst it is at a higher price point, the service and dishes made it a fantastic option for our occasion.
Very enjoyable lunch.
Another great Sunday afternoon at Le Parisien Geelong. Warm friendly service, without being intrusive. Good quality food, knowledgeable staff, fresh seasonal produce, well presented in a relaxed environment. Add in great views of the waterfront and the market place next door and there is not much more you need for the perfect way to spend the day.
Food and service amazing as usual , highly recommended
The meal was good but cost means we can’t attend regularly value is the worst feature of Le Parisienne.
Beautiful meal, excellent service, highly recommend!
Excellent food, great staff and super wine list with advice to match. Maybe I’m out of touch but I thought $150- for a seafood platter for 1 was a bit rich, otherwise fair value.
