Le Bilboquet - Sag Harbor
Wonderful table overlooking the harbor with terrific service and delicious food and wine. Who could ask for a better Sag Harbor Lunch!
The food was excellent as was the sunset on a beautiful Thursday night. The hostess was mighty pretentious and unwelcoming which was a little put-of fish at first but the wait staff made up for it with their down to earth, warm, wonderful personalities and their great service. In the end, a great night.
Best ambiance in Sag Harbor on the marina.
Week-ends are very lively coupled with great music. The service was impeccable. We were
greeted by a very friendly hostess Robyn who worked hard the entire night servicing the summer crowd. Also, numerous wait staff came by our
dining table. The food is tasteful!!
Last, non-stop people watching.
Fantastic. Such a lovely place with incredible food and service.
We frequent the NYC location and were expecting a similar quality experience but were sorely disappointed. While the ambiance is great, the quality of the entree was shockingly poor. We ordered the tomahawk for two, and the meat looked gray and was clearly defrosted and old, and tasted it. Priced at $200, it was far from what we expected, and the portion was definitely not enough for 2.
The burrata and heirloom tomato salad was well prepared.
Totally charming atmosphere for a delightful and delicious Sunday Brunch.!!
We love to bring our friends to this special Sag Harbor favorite.
Bilboquet is the premiere restaurant in the Hamptons. It is the only restaurant in the Hamptons that makes the most of its waterside location. So beautiful, be certain to get a table outside by the water.
We always start with the tuna tartare or the crab and avocado appetizer. Both are delicious. Last night we had the Cajun chicken, strip steak with frites, Veal Milanese, and a swordfish entree. Everything was perfectly done. Chocolate mousse for dessert. Just a fabulous dinner and evening.
Great place, food is good, ambiance nice. Call for an outside table. Can’t book outside through opentable even with a request.
Delicious food and great service! Will definitely dine again
I made a reservation on the early side, for 6pm. The restaurant was empty but the staff wouldn’t seat our table of four outside because it was “reserved for people the owner of the restaurant knew.” I live here year round and have never been treated that way in any restaurant. P.S—the outside seating remained basically empty for the hour and a half that we dined there. I guess the owner isn’t as popular as he thought, and it’s no wonder given the way we were treated. The food was mediocre at best and overpriced. The first time I ate there, the chicken wasn’t even cooked. After tonight, I’ll never return. There are a dozen other restaurants to pick from...if you want a waterfront view and good food, go to Beacon!
I have a hard time believing any of the stories of being turned away in a discriminatory fashion ... I have walked in , not dressed up and always been treated very well!!! Always! Very good food and experience all around and yes expensive!!
Air conditioning not functional.
Bad extremely slow service and restaurant was 2/3 full.
No shorts policy and more than a dozen customers wearing shorts.
Sound system was inoperable and volume was going from low to very loud.
Restauradas disgustingly hot! A virtual oven ! So bad a bartender was taking his undershirt off in the men’s room( strange)!
Child’s pasta $18 excessively large very aldente pasta with butter ! Hard and chewy! Inedible!
And a total rip off! Shame on you!
Waited 1:30 minutes for a super fatty and greasy Milanesa veal chop .
Vongole was was overflowing with pasta and the clams were tiny dried up clams .
Servers Forgot to bring beverages to the table even when reminded!
Worst dinning experience ever!
$$$$$$ overpriced robbery!
I asked the hostess on the way out if the Air-conditioning was broken ......
her response was “ there is a difference between AC and refrigeration “ dumbest answer ever!!! Better to say nothing and nod!!
I’d rather have spent my $700 dollars on Burger King!!
Much better restaurants in Sag
Don’t be fooled !
Go if you are under 40 and like LOUD LOUD LOUD Euro tech music pounding in your ears inside and out thanks to a DJ who starts spinning at 6 or so on. They are clearly looking for the young, singles crowd.
I don’t mind paying for good food and service but the food is just ok and the service is not that great. The setting on the water is very nice but our heads were pounding for a long time after leaving.
Unless I hear they’ve changed their tactics, I won’t be going back.
Finally a restaurant that is worth the high Hamptons’ prices. Great meal cooked to perfection. It is expensive but well worth it. The setting is beautiful and the staff was extremely attentive. Would go back in a heartbeat.
Casual birthday dinner
It’s been turned into a lovely place ..perhaps the most handsome on the South Fork. Overall staff are first rate though the turn away process at front desk is rather weird and in fact results in some curious groups being admitted while perfectly legitimate others get turned away
Sat outdoors with marina views. Perfection!
The place is really nice. The terrace for a nice evening is beautiful.
First of all, don’t go on July 4th weekend. It’s the busiest day of the year in the Hamptons. That said, my daughter and I came early and were seated beautifully by the water. Unfortunately we were pushed very unpleasantly by the Fe mail server—-she was in such a hurry we hadn’t even looked at the drinks menu. She came back at least twice more within three minutes and also demanded our order. She had neglected to tell us what the specials were she was in such a rush. To make a long story short, we asked her to slow down and were met with an aggressive and foul faced temperament. We asked to speak with the manager. Once he came we requested another server and all went well after that The food was just ok that night. And there were many open tables inside although the app claimed they were sold out. I’ve been before and I had good food and good service. As I mentioned, perhaps it was the particular weekend. But it wasn’t great and it’s no longer at the top of my list. The views are superb if you sit outside, however.
When I called to confirm my reservation I was told to ‘remember the dress code.’ I asked what it was and was told no shorts and no flip flops. I therefore told my party of 7 they must wear long pants - for lunch. No one was happy but complied. We arrived one hour later and there were more than 50 % ( men and woman ) in shorts. It was hot, and my party was not happy . Caused for an uncomfortable atmosphere in my party. The staff needs to get their act together and think!! Obviously lunch has a different dress code.
A major disappoitment! The setting outside facing the boats is beautiful but everything else is "the Emperor's new clothes!" The food is completely marginal except the salmon tarter that was delicious. The sea food tower looks good but the quality is lacking. The staff is abundant and nice but they fall over each other and can't get it right! The prices for both food and wine are off the wall, even for the Hamptons. Except to pay $500 for a dinner for two including a "not so good meal" with one cocktail each and an inexpensive bottle of Rose. And best of all they rush you out of the restaurant in record breaking time! A must to skip!
The décor is nice, the food is excellent and the location is really perfect. The only issue is that - at least on OpenTable - nothing specifically mentions the absolute requirement than men wear long pants to dinner. All summer, in the heat, on the waterfront. My husband was asked to go home and change which wasn't a problem since we live 5 minutes away but my very well dressed friend (albeit in shorts) was coming from Southampton so we had to consider leaving. Thankfully they made an exception. The staff was EXTREMELY nice so I do not want to make it appear they were rude! It is just a very strict dress policy that was not at all clear to us in advance and is sort of odd considering that this is a summer establishment on the waterfront. Food and ambiance really are both excellent.
best service, food, drink, setting and overall energy...
Been several times and will continue to go back. Service is fair - it’s a busy place. The food is VERY good.
Quite “the scene” for the Hamptons, sort of like being at South Beach.
Fun for a fancy night out - you go there for the atmosphere, not for the food.
Fantastic as to be expected if you are familiar with the two restaurants. Setting is one of the best on the East End
Everything wonderful. Drinks too expensive
A perfect way to spend a Friday afternoon before visitn friends for the weekend. Our table was outside overlooking the harbor, the food and wait staff were to perfection. A wonderful time.
Amazing service, food, & ambiance. Awesome backdrop overlooking the water and decent vegan options!
Food was good but drinks were very small and very rxpensive
Great spot, excellent food, fun atmosphere, just be aware that the music gets ~really~ loud while you are eating after 10:30pm.
Most likely best restaurant in the Hamptons. Food, service and atmostphere: there is everything to like here
Great food. Large portions.
excellent service .
I would not recommend Le Bilboquet. While the location and atmosphere are good, the service is abysmal and the restaurant staff are oblivious and rude. We had to wait 45 minutes to be seated and were only seated as I complained about the wait (I am pregnant and it was now 9:15PM). Then we were given a table with 3 chairs and they pulled up a folding chair for the fourth seat (the reservation was for 4 people so it wasn't as if we had an extra, unexpected guest). I asked the host to find a proper chair...he never returned. Then no server came to our table and we had to flag down a random staff member who (maybe?) took our drink order, but then disappeared, never to be seen again. After waiting 15 minutes for a server, we got up and left.
The staff of this restaurant are unprofessional and rude. We will not return.
Outstanding meal. Great end to summer in Hamptons.
Always a treat! And the setting makes it the perfect Hampton spot.
The best of the best
Welcome to the Club
Great food, staff were very nice and accommodating
