Fantastic food and great staff, good value for money
Sensational food, lovely service. Will definately be back!
Third time I've eaten here. This place always leaves me with a full happy tummy and keen to come back again soon.
The food presentation was amazing. A friend of mine got her drink "Meow Thai" in a cup shaped of a cat. The food tasted great and we got sides of kimchi and chopped chili to add into our food for more flavour. The servers were friendly and patient. It is a perfect place to hang out and catch up with friends.
Usually great food and good service, we went for dinner on the weekend and couldn’t eat one of the pork belly bao’s we ordered as it was all fat (no meat at all). We also ordered drinks that never came to the table so we ended up leaving early. Was overall a disappointing experience
A great Lonsdale St addition. Fantastic North Asian fusion food.
Delicious Food, always super fast - good fun vibe - good staff and service - My FAVE Restaurant.
This was our second visit to Lazy Su, menu has changed a little since our last visit but food was still excellent. Service was fantastic, you can't go wrong at Lazy Su excellent food, great service and the Ashai is cold.
Food was good, service polite, good location but too noisey if you want to hold a conversation over dinner.
A bright and energetic casual restaurant for lovers of asian/western style food fusion in Lonsdale Street.
Vegan Feast was amazing and very filling! Favourite place in Canberra for sure!
Great food! Too bad the one of the serving staff was quite possibly the rudest person I have ever dealt with! I’m still gobsmacked
We really enjoyed the wage beefsteak spring roll and the Bao sliders. Very good value for money and the staff were warm and friendly. Its easy to see why this restaurant is always full to the brim. Also love the wall of lucky cats as you arrive.
Great fusion food, loved the decor, cocktail was refreshing. The only let down was service; there were lots of tables and having booked a table for 2, we got given a little round table. When asked to be seated in the booth, the waitress said they were saving it for larger groups but it ended up being given to a walk-in group of 2 people anyway.
The food is amazing and freindly staff will be back
Thanks for a lovely dinner. Easy to book. Great food - quirky with a menu to please eveyone. Really pleasant staff. Would recommend to anyone.
Except for the dumplings, other dishes was pretty bland. Wouldn’t come back for the second time. Good in ideas but lacking execution.
First time at Lazy Su's after wanting to try it for so long and we were sadly disappointed. We ordered wine and had to ask 2 times where it was.. this then happened again when we bought a 2nd bottle of wine and 20 mins later we still didn't have it. We ordered the feed me menu and found the food was overwhelming shoved in front of us all at once. This meant it went cold & we felt pressured to eat quickly and not enjoy the menu. The pork pancakes were extremely tough.. we could hardly chew it. We ordered a round of cocktails at the end of our meal, one of us got a gin martini and when asking the bar staff what gin they used she was rudely dismissed and told "everyone's taste is different". She was not complaining and didn't expect a refund or a new drink, she was just asking as it had a minty taste to it which didn't go well with olives! The vibe/atmosphere is great it was just a shame the service and food didn't live up to the hype.
3rd time to Lazy Su and it was as exceptional as our previous visits. We absolutely LOVE this place! We live 3 hours away and now make it our go to place when on a weekend visit to Canberra. Every cocktail is made with love, as is every dish of their delicious food. The spicy chicken wings, tea smoked duck breast (unbelievably tender and cooked to perfection) and pork knuckle are a must. Try the mandarin and orange soju on ice with your mains - but be careful as it is potent and sneaks up on you! Friendly, efficient service (Lily was a stand out) and a great atmosphere - it's the perfect catch-up place with friends or hip venue to celebrate a special occasion. It's also great at lunch time with beautiful soups and lunch specials!
Food is absolute fantastic!! Restaurant is just too noisy.
Great food! Great cocktails! Coeliac, and didn’t have an issue with GF options.
Fantastic food! Canberra has become a foodie destination with loads of excellent restaurants. In such a competitive marketplace, Lazy Su is outstanding. It's one of the city's best! Delicious and great service. Loved it. It can be hard to get a table though, so make sure you book ahead.
Service was overly attentive at the start (we were trying to figure out what to order), but then waned off as the restaurant got busier. A quick explainer as we sat down would have helped.
After the great reviews we were very disappointed in the quality of the food. The wagu beef spring rolls were fatty and difficult to eat. The tuna civiche lacked flavour and no juice..dry. The kimchi fried rice was very good.
My new favourite place! Been a number of times for lunch and dinner, it’s been amazing everytime. Everything on the menu I’ve tried has been incredible, I’ve recommended this place to all my friends and family!
I have been to Lazy Su several times and I will be back many more times for sure! The food is great, wonderful location and I love their cocktail options.
International visitors, who know about food, really liked it. Sparked an interesting conversation about "what is traditional Australian food?". Have you thought about adding kangaroo to the menu?
Great lunch. Thank you.
Great healthy choices on the menu and an exciting variety of Asian inspired dishes
One of my favorite restaurants in Canberra. The food is amazing. We’ll keep coming back. Thank you
Great food. It would be nice to see more vegan options on the menu :). Having said that, the vegan options are great.
More vegan options would be great. Bring back the tofu burger :)
The food was out of this world. Will be back here again. We got the banquet and it was a great choice.
Noisy (music was way too loud), overpriced and fairly average food. Cool decor but that’s about all it has going for it
The food was amazing.
This was perfect for our anniversary. Special drinks and special food. Flawless
Myself and my partner had the Dinner Banquet which was outstanding! Delicious food, nice drinks and fantastic service! Highly recommended!
Sashimi and pork knuckle platter melts in your mouth. Great choice of cocktails. Is a bit pricey so best to share or for a special occasion. Counter seating great!
Friendly staff and yum food but I mainly come for the ambiance ! Great vibe!
This was my second time to Lazy Su. I'm a vegan so very much appreciate their vegan menu but I had the vegan banquet this time last year (my first time to Lazy Su) and then had it again this time and the quality of food and Flavours this time was not nearly as good as last time.
We went for lunch for our wedding anniversary and had a great time. Restaurant was busy but not loud, has good sound proofing so didn’t have to yell at each other, phew! Food and service were 10 out of 10. Staff are excellent, friendly and attentive without being too friendly. We had cocktails and lunch specials for two. Diverse clientele, couples, families and individuals. Highly recommend! Parking is an issue though, Braddon parking is always bad for all restaurants in the area. Recommend to book and leave enough time to park, or catch a bus.
