Absolutely delicious, super friendly staff, what more could you ask for? Get there as soon as you can, and then go again and again!!

Everything was really nice.

only complaint was that the main meals came out way too fast. We had just gotten our entrees and then the mains came out we had to juggle the plates around on our small table.

Eric.

Will always go back to Lazy Su for the amazing ramen. Took a friend to Lazy Su for the first time who said the ramen there was better than what he had in Japan. The ramen is LIT!

Great place! But if you are after a place to sit and chat after your meal, this restaurant is not ideal as it only has short booking windows.

This visit was back up to standard! I was so glad to have the great service I’d become accustomed to, and piping hot dishes! Cocktails continue to be fabulous. The only hiccup was that our meals and one cocktail had arrived half an hour before my friends’ cocktail, but that was quickly resolved :)

We were staying on a little getaway trip from Sydney. Got the tip from some local friends and were not disappointed! Great food, drinks and a cool place to be. Some nice veg options and the fried chicken ramen was excellent. Staff were both friendly and efficient.

Amazing food!!! Have to book in advance as they’re always busy but totally worth the wait. The food was very creative, and good sized to share different things. Would not hesitate to go back again and again

Staffs are too busy to attend your table unless you stop them. They are also too busy to check whether all of the orders have arrived. I had almost finished my main when my partner decided to stop a staff to ask why his main was not served yet. Apparently, the staff who took the order was over confident that he didn't write down our order, but then he missed my partner's order. So it had to be re-ordered. Staffs were again too busy that I had to grab my own cutleries from the cabinet to eat my dessert that had ice cream that was starting to melt because proper cutleries were not served.

Food was over rated. It was untasty and bland with not much ingredients and protein. Had to ask for salt and even with extra salt it was still very bland.

Have been to Lazy Su a couple of times before and absolutely loved it - but this time I felt that we were a little let down.
I called up to make a late dinner reservation on a Sunday night and was told (by Ellie) that you were fully booked out for the night - I then had a look on your website and was able to make a reservation with no problem within a couple of minutes. When we turned up we were shown to our seats (there were plenty of empty spots available)

The food was good and we ordered entrees and mains to share - the entrees came out and were good but then our main meals came out 8 mins after - we asked for them to wait between meals. While sitting on the bar seating it is hard to juggle many plates without it seeming crowded. The miso Barramundi was good and enjoyed thoroughly.
The bar service was good and it kept us entertained

I was a serious fan but sadly no longer. We had chiped bowls, which is bad for food hygiene! i asked for new bowls and they were cipped too. Our second drink didn’t arrive.... it was sake so not a hard one to pour.
Such a shame as your chefs are talented. But for the painful experience of getting parking, the chipped bowls and not getting served our overpriced sake intime .... no more ☹️☹️☹️

Took my interstate visitor here for dinner, and we had a lovely time. Most of our food was utterly delicious, and sharing plates made it great value for money. I recommend the wagu beef spring rolls, the chicken and pork belly bao-gers and the fried rice. Unfortunately our 'crispy' chicken dish was unpleasant. The chicken skin had gone soggy and gelatinous, and the dish had little flavour despite being served with 2 condiments. I wouldn't buy this one again, but everything else was amazing.

My only other negative comment for the night was that it was cold in the restaurant. We went on a 5 degree Canberra evening in winter, and I kept my coat on for the whole meal.

But overall it was a good experience and I was happy to have introduced my friend to Lazy-Su. The service is great and the meals come out really fast. The drinks list is also good :)

Always have a brilliant time at Lazy Su. The food is exceptional, as is the service. So creative. We were there for Espresso Martini Appreciation Week, which we loved, though we were surprised to find all the drinks quite sweet. We did try all of them in one sitting though!

Overall I loved my Lazy Su experience. The flavour and tenderness of the beef and the chicken in our main dishes was amazing. Also, the music was not so loud we couldn't hear each other (you can tell I'm "older" than many who were there). I have 2 complaints/preferences - 1. I like my food hotter than the temperature it was served at and 2. I like my first course to be finished and removed from the table before the second course is served. That would have made for more of a 5 star experience for me. Next time we go I'm just going to explain both those points to the very attentive wait staff when they take my order :)

I have been in multiple restaurants since my arrival to Canberra, and many are been good in general but none have managed to get me due the flavours of the food like Lazy Su did. The service was good, at the beginning felt slightly pushed to order fast, but not in a bad way just some patience next time. The flavours of the Mizo Burramandi was a surprise for me, one that makes me feel that I need to go back to find mor surprises, and fall more in love with you all. Thanks for making a night with my partner special

Excellent food, being vegan my partner and I found everything on the menu to be fresh and full of flavour. The sweet potato was outstanding.

The twist on the edamame was perfect, not to saucy and still really fresh tasting with great texture.

My parents eat meat and they enjoyed everything they ate, especially the fish.

Cocktails were excellent and a large range to choose from.

The only downfall was the service - only from one staff member. Our waiter seemed quite uninterested in adding to our dining experience. The staff who delivered our drinks were engaging and bubbly, so it could have just been that the aforementioned waiter was just new, or had some personal baggage which is understandable.

The only suggestion I could make would be to list what items you receive in the banquet, as it was quite difficult to determine the servings, value, and whether the items that really stood out to us would be included.

The Wagyu Beef spring rolls are pure deeeliciousness! Other dishes are amazing too! Pity theyve taken the duck leg off the menu it was succulent and nicer than the duck breast they have now. But there are so many good things to choose such as short rib Bibimbap, really nice bao burgers, the nori taco, what a great idea! Lazy Su's menu ids inventive and delicious.

Being a huge fan of noodles, I chose the Pork Belly noodle soup specifically because it came with hand pulled noodles. When it arrived at the table, I could tell immediately that the noodles weren’t as advertised. When I politely questioned the waitress, she said they were hand pulled and I again pointed out that they definitely were not. She said she would go and check with the kitchen. When she returned, she advised that they had in fact run out of the hand pulled noodles. I found this extremely disappointing because I should have been advised at the time of ordering and the wait staff should have this knowledge instead of trying to convince the customer something that was untrue. That being said, the soup itself was still tasty and my partner’s ramen was very good. I eat here quite a bit and this is the first time I’ve had a disappointing experience. Hopefully, it’s a one off.

We booked a table earlier in the week for 8:30pm and had to wait half an hour to be seated because there was a function. When we were finally seated, it wasn't even in the function area so why did we have to wait so long? Absolutely disgusting. The wait staff were very polite and professional but management should really consider if it is appropriate to hold a function if they can't clear it in time for those who have booked. That is just greedy. Shame!

Usually I’m shouting about Lazy Su from the rooftops, and have seen many friends follow up on my recommendation and go. Yesterday, after having done the same with a close friend, she agreed to come along and give it a try.

She has some serious food allergies, and is Vegan, so the bonus here is that Lazy Su really do take it on board, and take every precaution to keep her safe during her dining experience. They also do great Vegan and Vego options!

Unlike normal, we felt rushed, despite being early for our booking, after a few minutes of being left with a menu, we were asked point blank “so did you want to order anything or no?” In a fairly condescending tone. When our dumplings arrived, they were cold, which we would have raised with staff but the three floor staff seemed run off their feet and we couldn’t get anyone’s attention.

We figured we’d give it a second shot with our main meals, but again, my pot stickers were cold. This is sad for so many reasons, including the fact that usually, they’re hands down the winner of best outside of Asia. We finished lunch as fast as we could, stood up to pay, and almost got gazumped by a group who’d come along after us (thankfully, the group politely pointed out we’d been waiting a while, and asked the guy to serve us first). After paying, outside, we conferred and aren’t sure if we’d return again.

If you want cheap and cheerful food, with a great interior decor and some incredible cocktails, Lazy Su is for you. Just make sure you stand up and wave your arms like you’re on fire if your food is cold or you’d like to pay, and know what you want to eat before you arrive to avoid the sour demand of the waitress.

Wonderful food as always! I love Lazy Su and this is my 3rd HipHop Ramen night.
I am also a regular in general.

However, our group was left a little shocked when at the 45 min mark of our reservation they told us it was an hour sitting only....then proceeded to come back 5 mins later and issue the bill and get us up and moving with 10 mins remaining of our booking left. The whole thing was awkward and abrupt.

I understand things are different on special event nights but it would have been lovely to be told this from the beginning, then be given a courtesy reminder at the 45min mark, instead of a boot out.

I will of course be back again and this won't impact me highly recommending Lazy Su.

Really interesting choice of dishes including specials on the night. Service was prompt. Only small blemish was the rice came out half way through the meals and we didn't eat it all for that reason. Good wine service - brought the bottle to the table for wine by the glass - so many restaurants get that wrong these days. Would definitely go back. Good vibe, buzzy but not too noisy.

FABULOUS!! We went on Friday night then again for Sunday lunch as it was just THAT good. Great vibe, friendly and attentive staff, varied menu with lots of share options. Food was AMAZING!! We started with cocktails, my passionfruit one came adorned with flowers and was one of the best cocktails I have ever had. At dinner we shared several plates between the 3 of us - starting with the Sashimi plate with 3 types of fish - all extra fresh and beautifully presented. The chicken wings with a spicy, crunchy sticky coating are a must, as was the tea smoked duck breast which we had with a crazy good fried rice. The pot sticker dumplings were delicious too, and we shared a melt-in-your-mouth pork dish with kimchi that you wrap in your own parcels of pancakes or lettuce leaves with hoi sin or plum sauce. The waiter suggested we try the Mandarin and Orange Soju (375ml served in little sipper cups) for with the meal - a great choice. For lunch on Sunday we had the Korean soup with pork belly and hand crafted noodles - it was a freezing cold day and the soup was hot, spicy and delicious - at $18 each it was amazing value. We will definitely be back when next we visit Canberra!

Don't want to criticise as I had mistakenly booked a day ahead online and we turned up on the wrong night and staff were very accommodating in finding us a table even though it was my mistake. However one meal did not arrive. We had to finally reorder it but when it then arrived it was burnt and inedible and we asked for it to be removed from the bill (which it was but no real apology given). Also 2 of us ordered the same meal, but one arrived with mushrooms and the other one was missing mushrooms. Again we asked and a plate of mushrooms was delivered to the table. The cocktail was very nice but the glass rim was chipped. So overall the experience the disappointing and I won't return. Perhaps they were just having a bad night as others really like this restaurant. I don't normally fill in these reviews however it's in the restaurants interests to know these details so that whatever problems can be addressed. However the food that we did order without complications was very nice. thanks
