Service was fast, staff were helpful, food was fantastic. Great casual dining. We will be back!
I always love a night at Lazy Su but find two hours too short. Perhaps one could book a three hour spot if required?
Lazy Su was amazing! We had a lot of dietary requirements and they catered fantastically. Our waiter was great super helpful and very charismatic!
My daughter on a visit to Canberra was excited to take her Dad out to a restaurant she had been to before and thought was fantastic. We booked well in advance but got the very low semi circular bench at the window which was cold and uncomfortable. We ordered the banquet with mixed results. The service was “efficient” and it was pretty clear when our time was up! I will pay a bit extra and get better food and service elsewhere in Canberra. Just down the street in fact.
Had the banquet with two work colleagues. Extremely tasty choice of dishes with large number of entrees and a couple of mains. Food was beautifully cooked and prepared. It arrived in good time and the price for that number of dishes was very reasonable. Will definitely be going back.
When I booked online, only the counter seating was available but there seemed to be many free tables for the time we were there. The food was very good, especially the pumpkin dumplings, however, it was overpriced for the portion sizes which were disappointingly small.
Great meal, friendly service in a great atmosphere. Would recommend.
Amazing food and beautiful drinks. Service was great, just love this place.
Great food and good vibe, staff very busy so sometimes hard to attract attention.
Absolutely delicious food! Will definitely be back!
I had a great experience at Lazy Su. Staff were polite and very helpful with the menu. Food was quick and presented lovely.
Great food and really fast service. We brought our son with us and he ate everything in sight.
Service was lovely but at no point were we asked if the food was alright/good. My server asked if I wanted rice with my main without me asking or any indication of the price, which considering I was charged for it I felt was quite exploitative. I had the battered tofu which was delicious, though the pumpkin dumplings which I shared as an entree were not steamed through. We were hungry and didn't want to be a pain so we didn't send it back, but regretted it when my mother's bossam noodles arrived with noodles so undercooked that some were crunchy. The pork was sparce and mostly fat and the broth overpoweringly salty. The golden gaytime bao we had for desert was nice.
Amazing food I would highly recommend if you are looking for an enjoyable experience. Awesome flavours and the ambience is great. Service was attentive and friendly. Would return 100%
Great food at Lazy Su. Staff were lovely and friendly. Would definitely go again!
Food was tasty, service was friendly. Food came too fast and all together. We felt we were being rushed.
Good food, drinks, atmosphere and staff are always accommodating. Can't wait for my next reservation.
Loved every bit of our experience. Beautiful food, great service. We can’t wait to go back again.
Tasty food, efficient staff. As a group of 4 we enjoyed the meal and the vibe, though it was a bit noisy.
The service was fantastic. Food was amazing and at a great price. Couldn't ask for anything more
LOVE the Bossom soup - please keep it on the menu all year round!!
We had the banquet which was amazing, the pork buns and Nutella dessert were the highlights. The fried chicken could’ve been accompanied with some rice to balance it out.
Second time here, this time bringing someone new. Again an amazing and fun experience. Food and drink top notch!
Second time eating here. Great food with a range of vegetarian options and the cocktails are pretty nice too. Service is spot on.
Very inclusive to vegan diet, even had a vegan dessert available which is very rare. Loved every dish that we had, amazing flavours and good portion sizes, even the small plates. Have already recommended to friends and will be back for sure
My partner and I were recommended Lazy Su by a friend, and left the restaurant saying we needed to send her a thank you for sending us there! The food is great, and there's a great selection of vego options - neither of us are vegetarian, but the vego options were so delicious that any meat-eater would love them. We had the wagyu cheesesteak spring rolls, edamame, pumpkin dumplings, su-fry, and the duck, as well as a few cocktails and the dessert (both the matcha creme brulee and the nutella gaytime bao). Next time, the crispy tofu, the fried chicken ramen and the bao looked amazing. We were worried about noise levels as it's a modern looking place with lots of hard surfaces, but we had no issues holding a conversation. Staff were attentive and very helpful with recommendations around servings sizes and what to try. Will come back next time we're in Canberra!
You can't go wrong dining at Lazy Su. Yes, it is a Chinese restaurant but it is also known for it's espresso martini! Highly recommended are the bao-gers (pulled pork - yum!) and gyoza dumplings.
The food is amazing. The Bao Burgers are a must have!
It was my first time dining experience at Lazy Sue, but it exceeded the expectations i had of this place....in short a perfect place to dine with friends and family !!
The service at lazy su is what makes people keep coming back, along with the awesome food, drinks and aesthetic
What an amazing dining experience.
My friends and I had the best time here.
Staff were attentive, place had a great vibe and the food was unreal.
Also ordered a Whiskey apple which was super delicious. A friend had one of the cocktails which she said was very enjoyable.
Our table ordered the Market fish ceviche, Pork belly bao, Kimchi fried rice, Buttermilk fried chicken, Crispy smashed chicken, Pumpkin and Walnut dumplings, and the three desserts which we shared between us. Honestly couldn't fault any of the food and loved it so much have booked a table for another dinner in the near future. Great job!!
Really cool place - food reads better on paper. Unfortunately average tasting.
So overrated. We paid $77 between the two of us and we weren’t even full. $28 for chicken which seemed like it was drowned in oil for a week before cooking. If I wanted oily fried chicken I’d go to KFC for a quarter of the price.
The food was super disappointing and underwhelming. The only thing we enjoyed was the spring rolls and they were so small for the price.
Recommend highly the Bao Burgers and loved the drinks they had on offer. Overall a great place to have dinner for a date or with some friends.
Solid restaurant with great meat and vego/vegan options. We ordered too much because we wanted to sample many dishes which worked out great, but we had significant leftovers which we boxed. Good vibe and capable service although a little more attention to detail wouldn't not have gone astray here, eg drinks, water, fresh napkins after finger food etc. Staff were very responsive when asked however. Interesting "Wine List" with Sake abound and lots of Japanese beers and whiskey. If you're after a guaranteed good feed and unique experience this is definitely the place to go.
Fabulous! Was my first time dining here, and I'll definitely be back. I came with my Dad for his birthday, and we loved it. The food was amazing, I had the buttermilk fried chicken ramen and it was beautiful. And the Wagyu Beef Cheesesteak Spring roll was to die for. I didn't catch our waitresses name but she was great! Definitely top quality place, now one of my favourite restaurants in Canberra!
The food and cocktail was great but the service wasn’t the best.
Food and drinks were delicious, nice size servings.
Great food, the vegan banquet x2 person was very filling for 2 - we shared with a third who also had a bao burger + main meal and still had left overs
The drinks/cocktails at this place are always well made
The service was very ordinary. Our waitress was not very friendly and didn't write down one of our orders of gyoza.
Food was average at best. The Walnut pumpkin ginger dumpling did not taste freshly steamed.
The baogers are way too expensive for their quality and quantity at $10 each.
This is more of a bar than a restaurant and I think food is secondary and drinks is their main thing.
