Renowned for its warm greeting and super friendly service, the Brasserie's Anglo-French cuisine has been a favourite with a star studded clientele that has included Frank Sinatra, HRH Princess Margaret, Mohammed Ali, Marlon Brando, Jack Nicholson, and Diana, Princess of Wales.
The interior is full of distinctive artworks and the restaurant has been a regular haunt of emerging artists including Francis Bacon and David Hockney.
The brasserie menu features traditional British dishes like Langan’s bangers and mash, cod & chips, and potted shrimps. The spinach souffle is a must. Among long-running London restaurants, Langan’s is a star.

Langans continues to be my favourite restaurant in the world (and trust me I eat in a few!).....has been for 40 years. We hope it never changes.....
Old fashioned elegance. Just as we wanted. Great for a special occasion.
Absolutely fantastic from the food to the ambiance and staff. A really great experience. Can’t recommend highly enough.
Great Restaurant but remember it being cheaper but still great value for money
There is an immediately apparent lively ambiance on arrival plus a friendly welcome. The menu is versatile without being pretentious and the staff are accommodating. The pricing for the West End for both food and wine is very reasonable.
Difficult in my view to think of a better choice.
£62 for the 2014 Chateau Beaumont which is a £15 bottle of wine.
The restaurant and staff were great and made our evening a special one.
Wonderful as ever, great food wine and ambience. One of my favourite restaurants.
Living of its reputation a little. Food was adequate at best. Service was rushed, and would have expected better bearing in mind the expense.
I love this place. It simply ticks all my boxes. Classic dishes and proper service the way it should be. It's just so right.
Langan’s is always a joy and I look forward to my next visit
Service was outstanding - great ambience and great food. Always good.
Langan’s is an old friend from my ‘adland’ days and didn’t disappoint. Large bustling room with the ghosts of Peter Langan an Michael Caine still in evidence. (Ask to sit downstairs) Mix of schoolboy favourites and more modern fare. Something for everyone. Efficient good humoured service. Affordable prices and the steak and kidney pudding was big enough for two.
food was good apart from my cod and chips (cod was undercooked) - everything else was excellent
Great location, excellent food. We needed to ask for a side plate for the delicious bread. The gentleman who served us was outstanding- thoughtful and helpful. There are some things that can be improved but we will return.
I was really excited to visit Langans and went there with a work colleague. It was very early in the evening and there weren't many people there but the drinks order took some time, the delivery was slow. I had to catch someone's eye to ask of we could go to our table for dinner. It seemed odd that we were served bread but there were no side plates so we had to eat off our napkins. The food itself was pleasant and well cooked.
It is my favourite restaurant with great food , a varied menu , good wine list and friendly , efficient, knowledgeable staff.
Very good service and location. Food - fabulous. Thank you
Love the relaxed old school feel of this place –Service was well-timed and friendly, great Burgundies
Just love this place. Yes, it's pricey but worth every penny. Food is just sumptuous. Great choice and a wonderful place to dine. Highly rewcommended.
The food is excellent and the staff are attentive. when I last ate there i was given a table on the ground floor at the entrance to one of the preparation areas. This would have no doubt ended up with my chair being knocked by waiters entering and exiting the preparation area. The Maitre d' did change or table on request but it is not the best location for it.
Classic nice service, calm atmosphere, good food. Quietish Monday night so they were relaxed when one of our party was late.
I have been going to this restaurant for 30years .and its still great,
Great atmosphere and it remains my favourite place for dining in London. Helpful friendly staff and a warm welcome everytime.
I thought that Langland has retained its special place for dining, although ( and I know I’m getting old) I thought that the standard of dress of some diners was more suited to a local bistro. I’m not old fashioned and love the informal dress code nowadays but I think people should ensure it is smart rather than scruffy. However the meal was superb and the service outstanding.
Outdated and leaving on the past glory. The food average and some dishes below average. Overcooked broccoli etc.
Perhaps was good many years ago, but not any longer.
One of the best dining experiences we have had in London! We will certainly go there again! Lovely evening for our 35th Wedding Anniversary
The food was fantastic. The steak and kidney pudding is a must
Enjoyed our dining experience very much as usual. Will definitely return at some point in the future
We were seated straight away even though we were a bit early. Lovely welcome as always. Our waiter, Timothy, was charming. Food was good bistro fare, nicely cooked and presented. Coffee was served in a cafetière which was good. By the time we left, the place was packed so I think 6.30 is a really good time to eat to avoid crowds.
Wonderful atmosphere and a truly delicious lunch. Recommend the sole, it was sublime. We will be returning very soon.
Traditions, thankfully, maintained. Service and food has been better in the past though.
Always a great location to host a business lunch. Wide choice of menu and the service is first class.
Good selection of new and traditional food, delicious and reasonably priced. Our waiter was brilliant, always a good atmosphere at Langan's
Langans has not failed to deliver in all aspects of diner expectancy; food, service, ambience.. had liver and bacon preceded by artichoke and asparagus salad, excellent liver.. house white and red were more than just acceptable, service as usual attentive but not overly friendly (very important for a serious restaurant to get right). we'll be back.. (to quote Arnold incorrectly!).
Very very enjoyable evening. Excellent service and good food. Loved every minute.
Place has nt changed for 20 years which in a way is good but it’s a bit rundown now. Nice service. Food decent. Not great.
Wonderful food and wine! Defo will be back!
Wonderful food, as always, and great advice on the wine - the Mendoza Malbec was so good we had to have two bottles! A great ambience with a nice “buzz” when we arrived, and the service was superb. Back soon!
