The heart of our kitchen lies in the coals of our Asado grill. Here, our experienced team, led by Head Chef Alex Katsman, sear aged local wagyu, tender Tasmanian lamb, freshly caught seafood and other premium ingredients, creating masterful dishes of unrivaled flavour. Adding to the unique quality of our dishes is the distinctive environment in which they’re served – the historic walls of the original IXL Jam Factory, surrounded by the iconic landscape art of John Glover.

My partner and I very much enjoyed Landscape Restuarant. The service we recieved was outstanding and the food was just as good. This was the first time we had been out for a fine dinning experience and thouroughly enjoyed it.

Absolutely magnificent, again! All the staff really cared about the food and the wine and were remakable in terms of their knowledge, particularly local, national and international grape varieties and blends. We would return in a heartbeat!

Lovely place! The food was delicious but special mention to the crab starter! The crab starter was a stunner. It felt as good as India's Gabba Test match win last night (seriously awesome!).
Beef tartare absolutely delicious. Hand cut pasta with peas, mint and goats cheese was balanced beautifully. Good wine selection.

From the warm greeting upon arrival to our very knowledgeable waiter Jordan and the team who looked after us our evening was fantastic. Chef prepared an excellent meal! Highly recommend Landscape, it is a dinning experience that should not be missed in Hobart.

Sophisticated spacious room. Excellent cooking of traditional choices. Recommended
Situated in an historic waterfront sandstone building, Landscape Restaurant was a favourite choice to celebrate our Golden Wedding Anniversary. We were warmly welcomed by the Maître d’ and offered a complimentary glass of an award winning Tasmanian sparkling wine. Consisting of local produce, our menu choices of oyster and crayfish entrees, trevalla main course, crime brûlée dessert plus a bottle of Tasmanian Pinot Gris proved to be excellent. The friendliness of the knowledgeable waiting staff combined with the ambiance and fine dining experience contributed to a most enjoyable evening. I highly recommend this restaurant to visitors and locals.

Great service, however if your not a fan off Dill I would give it a miss !

Will keep coming back
Unfortunately a few hiccups with meals and drinks, but otherwise was a great night of food and wine. Staff as always were very helpful and welcoming.
Outstanding restaurant, only issue was that when we ordered our meals some of the extras and drinks we asked for did not come out. Aside from that it was an excellent experience

A wonderful meal - greta service -great wine - loved it
Food good but not quite excellent. Wine overpriced, 3 or 4 times retail on some bottles. Paintings and ambience superb, but the meal was a step below the quality I was expecting. Service was okay, hostess fantastic, waitress very nice the two times she came to the table. Wine ‘expert’ needs a fair bit of training.

Slight reservation about grilled lettuce (comes with steak), but others might love it.
We found that the service was exceptional, our dietary needs were catered for. the food was delicious and the wine list was a oenophile's delight.
We had a reservation for 6pm which was when the restaurant opened. Initially, the service was absolutely outstanding - didn't have to wait for a drink and all over the food orders.
As the restaurant became increasingly busier, we unfortunately had a huge drop in service. We were served mains without any beverages and had to ask twice for someone to come and help with wine selection. We left full, but extremely sober. This was our second visit and unfortunately each time, the service once busy has been lacking.

It is so great when a restaurant not only meets your expectations but literally blows them out the water! Celebrated a special occasion and the staff, food and ambience made it all the more special. Easily in our top 3 steakhouses in Australia along with Woodhouse (Bendigo) and Marbl (Melbourne)
