At Landscape Restaurant & Grill, right in the heart of Hobart’s Hunter Street waterfront precinct, we create an unforgettable dining experience.

The heart of our kitchen lies in the coals of our Asado grill. Here, our experienced team, led by Head Chef Alex Katsman, sear aged local wagyu, tender Tasmanian lamb, freshly caught seafood and other premium ingredients, creating masterful dishes of unrivaled flavour. Adding to the unique quality of our dishes is the distinctive environment in which they’re served – the historic walls of the original IXL Jam Factory, surrounded by the iconic landscape art of John Glover.

    Thank you to Landscape for making my grandfathers 80th birthday extra special. I bought my grandparents a voucher to diner at Landscape and in their booking I include that it was his birthday. The staff brought out a dessert that had “happy birthday” written on it, which really made his experience extra special.

    The ambience was classy, the food was exquisite, and the service was impeccable. We were particularly touched by the kind gesture of the waitress serving us - when told that our dinner was for Mother’s Day, she offered to have mum’s mocktail drink free of charge. Would definitely recommend a meal here, especially for a special occasion.

    An absolute must! I’d recommend the eye fillet with pepperberry and cognac sauce, it just melts in your mouth. Ambience and customer service was perfect too, I couldn’t fault this restaurant. We will be back

    The entire experience at Landscape was absolute perfection. I dined there for my birthday and the staff were all incredibly warm and friendly. The meal was exceptional - delicious but simple flavours, elegantly presented. I particularly enjoyed the oysters with dashi dressing. And the honey ice cream, served with a birthday message in chocolate, was a wonderful touch. Will recommend Landscape to everyone.

    Absolutely fantastic restaurant. The food and wine was extraordinary. The flavours were just wonderful. We were seated by a lovely window, showing the substantial wine cellar. Very nice. Not so nice that either side was the toilet and kitchen entry. So we had wait staff, cleaning staff and guests coming and going, which sort of ruined the experience. You cannot fault the food and wine or the staff.

    I selected Landscape to celebrate my wife’s birthday on a trip to Hobart. We were seated in a room separate from the main restaurant with only 5 tables. The ambiance was lovely, like dining in an art gallery. Service was excellent Food was superb as were the suggested wines. The whole experience could not have been any better.

    I could not recommend this restaurant more. My boyfriend and I went for his birthday last night and the service was outstanding. The food was delicious, melt in your mouth steak! Not to mention it came out very fast and also the wine was amazing!! Thank you Landscape Restaurant for such a wonderful evening.
