I usually don't like doing Reviews, but I appreciate their importance and I am happy to tell you that the 6 of us thoroughly enjoyed our afternoon. The food was beautiful, excellent service, nice atmosphere and we will be returning. By the way I have already recommended Lamaro's to 3 people since I visited on Friday. Have a great 2019, Maureen Dillon

A beautiful old renovated building on a quite street, Lamaro's is a lovely serene place for a lunch with friends or colleagues. The food is great - sophisticated but not too fussy - the noise levels don't interfere with talking and the wine list is very impressive indeed!

Steak was undercooked (ordered medium rare and it was practically blue) and the accompanying fries (and fries for other diners) were cold when delivered. Good effort reheating the steak and providing fresh fries after though. Service was slow but friendly.

On arrival we were told there were no side dishes...not even a salad & some main dishes. Spent over $500 and the waitress was rude and she could have handled it so much better. Steaks were good but entrees were disappointing. Our previous visit was excellent but the excuse of being the day after Boxing Day was not good enough.

This is an example of what makes a great pub. It has retained the space and some of the atmosphere of a pub but the food is far more exciting than a traditional pub menu. Sure, I did have ribs when I could have chosen some more interesting things (I rarely get red meat at home) but they were incredibly sweet and tender, and the Vietnamese citrus flavoured salad with it was great, as were the sides of beans and pumpkin. A really good indicator of a great chef is how they do desserts. Turkish delight icecream plus other bits and pieces was wonderful. A slight negative is that the ambience is not quite as plush as some other venues. I would like to go back again.

Superb food and service. Geoff Lindsay has an amazing dinner menu. The wood-fired scallops are sensational and the red duck curry is incredible. We will certainly return for fine dining at Lamaro's. Mark

We celebrated my partner’s birthday with a large group of close friends in the dining room. Food, wine list and the night were superb. Our friends were very complementary. The staff did a great job dealing with two large groups. The menu offered great choice and the desserts are to die for! Definitely worth another visit!

Last minute decision and this was a good one for the 5 of us. Service and staff attentive and they had a good wine list - I had the red curry which was outstanding. The only issue was my wife's fillet - which she asked for medium but came more rare... but other than that would definitely return.

Great food and service in a cosy place. The only thing is that all staff should be aware of dietary requirements and should have gluten free bread.

We went to Lamaro's for an early dinner (16 month old in tow!). The food was excellent, as was the service. The staff were great with our little one, giving her an activity pack to keep her entertained. Really great wine knowledge and were able to recommend some great wines to go with our meals.

Great food, both in the restaurant and the bar. From a cracking burger, to an excellent, refined duck red curry to amazing chargrilled steaks. Really great, Asian inspired entrees and small plates too. Something for every palate.
Good selection of regularly rotating beers and a very good wine list. A local treasure.

WE have been to Lamaros many times and the food is always really fabulous. Its great quality. The duck curry is the best we have ever tasted! The grilled snapper was excellent but i did prefer the deep fried snapper better. Perhaps Lamaros could bring it back!
It was a good night and we will come back.

We we’re particularly pleased with our waitress who brought us wine to taste, withdrew quietly when our conversation became rather emotional and joined in when we were having fun. She was also very quick to ask if the food was to standard when I seemed to eat very little which had nothing to do with the quality of the food at all.

The restaurant was an attractive space with tables set well apart, yet while presenting as upmarket it was very accessible.
