Our menu is inspired by our own family gatherings, sharing food, wine, company, the beauty of our landscape and the bounty of our Estate Grown produce.

We grow our own lamb, wheat, honey, citrus, eggs, seasonal vegetables & herbs. All our Estate produce is sustainably produced with minimal intervention and zero food miles in a reflection of the place it was grown and the people who made it.

Executive Chef, Jarrod Smith, has a passion for exploration and creativity. In addition to our estate produce, we source the best of the season's harvest, from far and wide, to enhance a vibrant, ever changing menu.

The outdoor location was pleasant with tables overlooking the creek and lake. We had quite a delayed start (20 mins) after being seated and provided with water and instructions to pull up the fixed 5 course "tasting" menu on line.

Each of the 5 courses was fine and would have stood on their own as a generous and competent entree but the advertised "narrative" of the menu just didn't seem to hang together- local farm grown food with zero miles. We "got" the chicken egg in an early course and the lamb in the second last but were bewildered by the Mac and cheese, the prawns, scallops and squid ink. I guess the pasta was made of wheat, risotto is rice; but it was a bit of a mental stretch when the non local flavours were so dominant.

Country meals tend to have very large portions by city standards but there is no way we could classify this meal as a tasting menu. It really was 5 generous entrees over 2 hours. The price was at the high end but not ridiculous for the food quality and quantity. Some work on the restaurant concept and narrative would help travellers understand what they are booking for and what to expect.

Thanks for your review. Our menu is designed around our single vineyard wines. We focus on Estate Grown produce, including our full range of wines, lamb, wheat, eggs, honey, citrus, vegetables & herbs. In addition, our chef enjoys exploring his creativity with seasonal ingredients. I'm sorry the macaroni and cheese croquettes with peppered fig were not for you. If you visit again, we hope you'll gain further insight into our commitment to sustainability, estate produce and future generations.

Despite a blustery storm coming in and knocking out the power, the Kitchen did not miss a beat and churned out high quality grub, paired with high quality wines. Owners were friendly and love to have a chat, we were made to feel right at home - highly recommend stopping by!

Enjoyed a lovey Sunday afternoon enjoying the 5 course lunch with matched wines. Gardens are very scenic and hosts and staff excellent.

QR reader at front door inoperative due to lack of internet no one in attendance initinally then staff came and couldn't get the QR reader to work then we went inside to sign in
seen to table and again QR reader to order food not operative
when we finally ordered as the staff member read out the menu off her phone
cheese platter $32 no crackers or bread that was another $8 ? this was a first cheese plater without crackers or bread and on it went, just difficult the whole exercise

We are doing our best to meet contact tracing and social distancing requirements. We understand it's challenging but we all have to try together. I do recall your visit. I welcomed you at the door. When you had difficulty with the QR code, I provided you with a pen and paper. When you had difficulty with the QR code at our Wine Bar, I offered to take your order. You left without ordering. Others were operating the QR code successfully and our wifi is operational.

We came for the cup day special menu. The food was excellent, not rushed and presented exceptionally well. We took the wine matching package and it was perfect!
The view over the river and lake was spectacular!
Will be back!

This was our first time dining at Moodamere Estate and we were blown away, the location was amazing, the food and matching wines were second to none andbeing able to enjoy such a dining experience amonst the beautiful outdoor setting under the trees was delightful. Loved everything about our time at Moodemere Estate, will definitley be recommending and will definitley be back.

We had a lovely day at Lake Moodemere - started with wine tastings with Michael followed by a delicious degustation lunch with paired wines.
Sitting outside we enjoyed the lovely relaxing ambience and wonderful service by Belinda and the team.
A wonderful place to take family and friends as well as recommend for our b+b guests to visit.

Family run winery showcasing food and wines grown on their property. Lunch on offer was 5 courses with matching wines optional. Starters included house made bread roll made from wheat grown on property stone ground, served with churned butter and olives, house made rice cracker with taramasalata and more.. Highlight was salmon on bed of beans in squid ink served with fennel followed by house made pasta with chestnuts and mushrooms - both delicious. We would not order sides next time as the portions were adequate and we found sides even though really good was too much food for two of us.
Matching wines complimented the food beautifully.
Owners were welcoming with friendly informative service. The atmosphere was rustic with dining in a farm house building with timber floors, open fire and views of the winery. Outside the building was a citrus orchard, garden, hens wandering about and seating under the trees with view of lake Moodemere.
All in all a lovely experience and would highly recommend a visit

Fist time visitor and a local. Great food, wine, view and friendly efficient service. Sitting outside under the giant gums was relaxing and peaceful. Our noise did not interrupt others. Highly recommend it!!

Nice place. Sat inside but in retrospect may have been better outside? The dining area is in the tasting area and this may be an issue if there are a lot of people tasting wine.
Food is very good. Chicken was excellent and the Lamb ribs very good. The tasting menu as a starter is also worthwhile.
The price of a glass of wine is too expensive. It would be better buying a bottle and taking the left over home for later.

We only just discovered this winery and absolutely love it it is family owned and they make you feel very welcome always have a friendly chat and the service and food is excellent would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a great place to eat and relax with family and friends

What a lovely location, sitting on the banks of the lake enjoying food worth fantastic flavours and wines to match, what more can you ask, oh yes, great hosts.
We had an enjoyable long lunch, just on three hours and the time flew.
Will we go again, most definitely.

Food and people were great and so was the atmosphere too- there was only one issue with an hour and a bit wait for our food to come out but they told us that they were a little behind due to an unforeseen issue in the kitchen which was good of them to do that so we just went for a stroll in the vineyards until our meal came.

I’d certainly recommend this place for lunch

My son and I, among many other families, really enjoyed the Mothers Day lunch at Lake Moodemere Estate. The food was delicious and plentiful, the service friendly and efficient. The setting is lovely, it is kid and dog-friendly and utterly relaxing.

Apart from an unfortunate mix up that meant we waited an unacceptable time between our entree and main course (just under an hour) the visit was very enjoyable. The food, in particular, the lamb special was outstanding and the wines weren't bad either.

Easter Saturday lunch with family. Service was a bit slow to start but the food and wine made up for it. Beautiful casual setting beside the lake under the huge shade trees. Will certainly work back!
