Chinese (Canton)
Situated on the 51st floor of The Ritz-Carlton, Macau, Lai Heen is the highest Chinese restaurant in Macau, commanding views all round. It truly exemplifies the finest level of craftsmanship and highest service levels in luxury Cantonese dining. Thus, Lai Heen is a recommended restaurant by The Michelin Guide HK Macau 2016. In addition to the refined atmosphere provided by the main dining area, there are five private and elegant dining rooms ideal for intimate and celebratory occasions. Chef Bill Fu takes the role of head chef at Lai Heen. Bill played a very important role in achieving two-star Michelin Restaurant recognition in his previous role at The Ritz-Carlton, Hong Kong’s Tin Lung Heen, and with this being his first individual venture, every single dish is meticulously prepared. His signature dishes include Char-Grilled Barbecued Ibrico Pork, Baked Abalone Puffs with Roasted Goose, Steam Crab Claw with Egg White in Hua Diao Wine, Double-boiled Chicken Soup with Fish Maw.

My family came here for a Christmas dinner and the food was elevated and didn't disappoint. Must try: barbecued iberico pork in honey sauce, braised seasonal vegetables with crabmeat and egg white. However, at the end of the meal I wanted to treat my family so halfway through our meal I discreetly went to the front of the house to ask to pay privately. Instead of handing the bill to me, a waitress who wasn't even serving our table went over and gave the bill to my father. Imagine his surprise to receive the bill when he wasn't even done eating. It was quite a mood killer and really ruined the surprise and vibe of the night.

Booked for lunch.
Before the time, they shared seats for waiting.
I chose Signature lunch.
Service was good, food was tasty, and good view on the 51st floor.

What a fantabulous restraunt is. We were at the by window table that has great view. We ordered two seperate dinner course. One is michelin star menu and the other one is chef's gourmet dinner course. I prefer michelin one but both course were great overall. I booked again one week later and i can't wait. i will have the dishes that i havent had.

Service was one of the most attentive I have ever experienced. The reservation once made, was acknowledged by open table and the restaurant via email followed by a phone call. Pleasant surprise to see how 'on the ball' the restaurant is. Food is good though prices are towards the high side. We had such a great experience we went back the next day and were greeted with the same warm service!

Amazing service, food and view. We had a late, big lunch so the 3 of us opted to share several dishes. None disappointed. Wine was fabulous too. Staff was very attentive, friendly and accommodating. Highly recommend this restaurant.

We visited Lai Heen on Jan 17, 2017. It was a great experience. Service was attentive and thoughtful. We ordered Crab Cake to start, followed by Hot & Sour Soup, Braised Seafood Broth with Bean Curd, Wok-fried Prawns with Salted Egg Yolk, Seasonal Vegetables with Conpoy and Pan-fried Scallops, Sauté Wagyu Beef, Deep-fried Bean Curd with Mushroom and Garlic in Piper Style, and Fried Rice with Crabmeat, Tobiko and Crispy Garlic. We loved most of the dishes, except the Deep-fried Bean Curd (which was not what we expected) and Fried Rice (which we found quite bland). I didn't care much for the Braised Seafood Broth but the Hot & Sour Soup was great. My most favourites were the Prawn and Wagyu Beef.

The Chef treated us each with a sampler desserts which were quite nice. After dinner, we were given a tour of the restaurant, where we visited different rooms put aside for private dinner party. All these rooms are nicely decorated with excellent view. We wish we lived in the area to be able to try out these rooms as our weekly family gathering can use these rooms on special occasion. All servers are nice, and Laeticia (I hope I spell her name right), the Service Supervisor I think, made our visit extra special and memorable. We definitely will visit again whenever we are in Macau.

Upscale Chinese restaurant. Good dim sum, great char siu, and their wine list is comprehensive
