Proper food but nothing special.
Terrible food at a high price. Worst Italian I've eaten at in a long time. Can't remember the last time I literally couldn't finish my main... It's a total tourist trap, best avoided!
Excellent service. Fresh delicious food. Great value for money. Really enjoyed the evening. Highly recommend. Will be back!!
Very nice setting, lovely bright pottery plates, staff very friendly and helpful and food great. This was our third visit there and we have enjoyed it very much. Relaxed but smart ambience.
Tucked away but handy for South Kensington Station.
Friendly staff, lovely food, lovely venue.
We had a great experience - nothing was too much trouble for the team and we were encouraged to try new things/great recommendations. Would definitely recommend!
Lovely little local trattoria. Lamb particularly well done (in fact, medium rare!)
The food was ok. Waiter was very friendly. However it was too expensive for the quality and portion .
Without a doubt, the best Italian food I've had outside of Italy.
Really great food, best lamb I’ve ever had. Pasta was interestingly prepared - won’t spoil it but never seen it done that way before. Service was good, prices were reasonable. Overall a really good choice
What a friendly and beautiful restaurant. The food was delicious and the people were so friendly and kind. The wine was great too.
Their food is alright, and they gouge heavily on the price of drinks. £5 for a small still water is insane.
The food was absolutely delicious and great service. The best tiramisu we have had!
Great food, great atmosphere!
The service was lousy. Four times I had to call for attention. We were one table of only three that evening. The pre-dinner drinks were ridiculously expensive. The extra sides arrived well after we had started our mains.
I left no tip.
By the way here is the origin of the word TIPS. When our great grand parents were journeying by coach they would stop for a meal and to change horses. They would not have wanted to loose any time over this, so there was a money box on the dining table ‘To Insure Prompt Service’. Interesting eh?
The place looks pretty, if you like bright colors. But that's all I can say about it that's good. The food, despite being pricy, was dull in the extreme. The servers seemed to have been hired two hours earlier. And there was just no effort to make the meal interesting or special in any way. Sea bream served wrapped in metal foil, with literally nothing else on the plate. 'selection of gelato' turned out to be 4 scoops of wall's vanilla ice-cream jammed together in a bowl. That's it. Nothing added. It was really quite bizarre. I have no idea why some reviews here are positive. Seems unlikely. The locals have clearly cottoned on. When we arrived the place was empty.
Good food, good price, and the service was wonderful. Our server was very personable and always attentive.
Beautiful food and very friendly staff. Highly recommended for lunch or dinner. Share a starter and dessert - they are pretty generous portions!
Last minute booking. The Polish Maitre d' was excellent making us really welcome given we had only booked 15 minutes earlier and it was after 9pm. The food less so - e.g. creme brulee, came without the brulee, really?! A few small changes could make this restaurant 10 times better.
On a freezing evening, staff paid no attention to keeping us warm by closing doors or keeping the heating on. We had to keep reminding them.
Portions were small and not particularly tasty.
Absolutely brilliant all round! Food fresh, very Italian, service superb, even though we were early and only people there the atmosphere was very cosy.
unassuming place in the basement of a hotel, but with very good homemade italian food and incredibly friendly and helpful italian front of house staff. the burrata is of a very high standard, the pasta very well made and the wine menu of a good standard and variance. The location is great as well, just accross the road from south ken tube station but not the easiest to spot...don't let that put you off though!
Beautiful food with extremely friendly and passionate staff. Italian food done well. Don’t expect pizza - quite right too! The pasta is delicious. The tiramisu is not to be missed.
Massive mistake. We passed thriving restaurants to end up in a room on our own, underground. Even though we had sent a prior email to alert them to one of us being gluten-free, there were no GF options at all. None. Not even bread. The food consisted of olives and meats to share, then a small bowl of pasta and a soup-served on cold crockery. We had 2 glasses of wine and 2 peronis. Cost..... £75. Even though we were the only clients, we still had to remind the waiter to refill our small water glasses. What a joke. Don’t go there! It spoilt our special day out in London and I’m still seething.
The food and ambience was excellent. A place where you can actually hear yourself speak.
The service needs a little help, and so does the stock manager- they ran out of JWB.
All in all, a wonderful experience.
Simple, authentic and genuine cuisine.
Very friendly staff.
Nice and relaxed atmosphere
With so many option in South Kensington, this is a place worth going back for.
IT WAS A VERY PLEASANT AND RELAXED AND SPACIOUS VENUE
THE FOOD WAS DELICIOUS AND THERE WAS PLENTY OF CHOICE AND A GOOD CHOICE OF WINE
THE SERVICE WAS GOOD AND THE STAFF WERE FRIENDLY AND THERE WAS NO PRESSURE ON US SO THAT WE COULD TAKE OUR TIME
Lovely, quiet, small place (24 seats). Cozy, comfortable, wonderful food and staff.
