   So hard to choose from all the delectable sounding choices on the menu! I loved the La Camera Risotto. Yum.

   Went for Nonna’s cooking lesson. Arrived and seemed to have trouble finding our booking. Bottle of wine we ordered available so ordered the only Cab Sav available out of 5 listed. Food was ok, but not inspiring. Nonna was sick so lesson was given by son. Told that only one lasagna could be made by each Couple, even though people who came on there own and paid same money, $70, got one each. Not value for money and would not go there again.

   Hi Silene, I'm really sorry to hear you're feeling this way. It was tough time with Mum being unwell, and unfortunately, that’s something we did not have much control over. I had made that recipe endless times before and I would have assisted mum in the normal class. Regarding the value for money—I just wanted to clarify a few things. The evening included both an entrée and a main, which is usually one option for the $75 2 course set menu. Because it was a weeknight event, we’ve always tried to make the pricing more appealing. On top of that, guests received Mum’s handwritten recipes, her meat sugo and lasagna and 2 takeaway portions of her lasagna per couple—each valued at $35. I hope that clarifies a few things and we hope to see you again sometime. Kindest regards Paul (Son)

   We had a fabulous experience from the moment we walked in the door. Were greeted warmly and the great service continued. Food and drink were promptly ordered and received. We’ll be back.

   We booked at La Camera for Good Friday dinner. I messed up and booked for 2 instead of 4, but no problem - even on a very busy night they accommodated us. Being a busy night it was also very loud in the restaurant, and our neurodiverse daughter was extremely triggered. Carmel was amazing and sought out a nice quiet table on the balcony. This saved a major sensory meltdown and saved our night. Also want to mention the amazing food. Thank you so much. We appreciate you

   We booked well in advance yet were seated at a table right next to the kitchen entrance, so were exposed to a huge amount of noise and traffic. As we could not hear each other speak across our table, we asked to be moved to one of the many empty tables nearby, but were refused. We ordered promptly, a starter (arancini) and two mains (gnocchi and steak). We were then left waiting for 45 minutes before the starter finally arrived - no idea how it could take 45 minutes to deep-fry three small arancini, when the restaurant was not that busy. Other diners were seated after us, and had eaten mains and left by the time we finally received our mains. The mains were ok, but very overpriced - $54 for a grisly steak and some fries (I had asked for salad, but we didn't have time to send the meal back as we had to leave for a show). We ordered one drink, a lemon lime and bitters, which had so much lime in it that we had to ask for a glass of lemonade to cut it with. When paying, we were told that bills could only be split in half, not itemised - there was no warning of this earlier. Overall, we won't be coming back - such a let down after having come to La Camera whenever in town for a show over the past decades.

   very,very disappointing asked about birthday discount nobody knew available on public holiday(email did not state unavailable for public holiday) said they'd check never came back to me ordered garlic bread with meals finally came after main meals finished my wife ordered glass of wine had to ask for it again when paying bill still no answer on discount Never,Ever going back again we were on table 76

    Great location for a pre- or after-show dinner or a regular date night. Food consistently good and lovely views over the Yarra from the balcony.
