See you at La Barra!
once I got the right food, it was delicious
The waiter forgot about us and went home.
The bartender had to come over and wait on our table of 5.
The bartender was fantastic !
Once again, we had a wonderful experience at La Barra. We hosted two events in the past few months. Our first event was a wedding rehearsal dinner for 50 people. The second event was a surprise birthday party for 12 guests. In both cases, everything was perfect. The manager, Amy, was very helpful and most accommodating. She advised and worked with us on menu selections and oversaw her excellent wait staff. The food was delicious and the ambiance just right for our parties. Overall, we could not be happier with our experience at La Barra. We had two great celebrations there.
New favorite 🐔florencio w 🥖 and Mountain Dew. And of course the show stopper Katrina who’s always fabulous.
Always a great experience! Service, food and entertainment were very enjoyable!
Labarra was amazing! Food was really great! Had an amazing Valentine’s Day with my fiancé!
Wonderful time! Great food, drinks and service! Will definitely return!
Can’t wait to go back! Although the red velvet cake was far too dry, our pizza and cavetelli were delicious and our server was wonderful.
Very slow service, we order the “Burrata” and tasted too simple,, we also order pizza and was ok,, we not going back!
Food is delicious, pizza is some of the best around. Great environment. Family friendly.
Great waiter, wonderful food and an added bonus of live music.
Excellent pizza and beer selection
Mountain Dew waiting for me / Chicken florencio and tiramisu - magic monday....
Best deep dish pizza!! Surprised that this pizza outdid all my other favorite deep dish pizzas in the Chicagoland area!
Loved the ravioli nachos and pizza! The noodles on the lasagna were very tough. Hard to cut with a knife. Good flavors, though!
We arrived early for our reservation and were pleasantly surprised that there were seats available at the bar on a Saturday night. The drinks were fantastic (I ordered a Cosmopolitan) and our table was ready at the time of our reservation.
We ordered salads and pizza and everything was really good.
The service was excellent - (our server's name was Gwen).
The only downside is there was a lot of noise and we had to raise our voices to talk to each other. But it was definitely a hopping and fun place!
We had requested a booth on Open Table. Seated at a high top which we didn’t like. Our server didn’t introduce herself and was also the bartender. Didn’t check back. Drink refills were hard to obtain. We did enjoy the food.
Deep dish pizza and our server, Dan, was great. However, it was an extremely busy night and it was extremely loud we were 2 couples and could barely hear each other.
I was expecting a great experience considering the reviews. A group of friends and I came here to celebrate one of their birthdays. To begin with, we arrived 40 minutes early and still got seated past our reservation time. Our large booth seat was full of crumbs and we had a sticky table. Our frozen rose drinks were more like crushed ice with sugar. The server did not offer to bring extra bread. My pizza came about 15 minutes late due to a chef error. The manager did give a free dessert for the inconvenience but my friends were almost done with their meal anyway. The server offered to pack my leftover pizza, but he needs some training on food handling apparently. He tipped over the pizza pan completely into the box and then scraped off the slices that were stuck. He knocked of the cheese off the majority of the slices. Needless to say, none of us were impressed and we will not be returning.
HI Nevee, I am so sorry about your lackluster experience with us. I am so embarrassed about what happened and how it was handled. That is completely not up to our standards and I apologize sincerely. I would love to invite you back in for another experience if you are willing to give us another opportunity. Please reach out to me directly I'd love to take care of you. Best, Katrina 630 202 4224
Our server Doreen was amazing! She went above and beyond for our very large group on a Saturday night and she exceeded our expectations. I will definitely be dining here again!
Took 8 people, including 4 kids and the staff were so helpful
Food is delicious, and drinks well made
We will return
Always a great time! Doreen, our waitress always goes above and beyond to make our dining experience special! Food is delicious, great size portions and the price is right!!
Great service, very good food, and will be going there again soon. Bring your friends. Monday specials are an awesome value.
I didn’t like being out in the family room when there were open tables In the main room when we arrived. We were only a party of five, which was small enough to be in the main room. The canned music was not turned off in the family room when the live music started, and hearing both was irritating.
Some in our group ordered the deep dish— they liked the crust at the Labriola off of Michigan Ave. better. This one was burnt. But my Chicken Parm was amazing. And my wife enjoyed her Chicken Alfredo. The service was great, too.
Prosciutto wrapped chicken w Labriola 🍟 and Mountain Dew.
We came on your special day for members. All was perfect except for the salmon that was cooked well done. I prefer mine medium which is how it’s always been prepared in the past. I did not tell my sever because La Barra was nice enough to give us a huge discount that day already. So, I just went ahead and ate it. Next time I’ll be sure to mention medium. The salmon was very dry. Risotto was excellent. I made that my gravy. ☺️ Appetizers and pasta was excellent and so was our server.
Brought new client in for lunch, prosciutto wrapped chicken is always a hit.
The food is excellent. It's priced as a 'sometimes' restaurant as of right now and I wish it were more economical so our family could visit more often.
Pizza is great. We were pleasantly surprised by the half price apps during happy hour.
Very slow evening, had the Prosciutto wrapped chicken w fries. Will went beyond the call of duty and made it a great visit.
Got there at 6pm on New Years Day. Only 2 other tables were occupied in the dining room. Waiter was initially attentive. When more customers arrived, service went bad. We got our salad then waited a long time for thin pizza. When asked waiter what is taking so long, reply was understaffed, didn't expect it to be busy. After 60 minutes after our order, our arugula mushroom pizza arrived. All waiter said was sorry. Manager never came to apologize. Felt as if no one cared about the service, as if that was normal. Food was good, but not worth the long wait.
What a great place ! Very nice atmosphere !
But you must try the pizzas ... simply one of the best in Chicago . The burnt edges with cheese is addicting!
The thick crust baratta and basil pizza , wow!
New Years eve
Food was delicious, our server forgot to order our salad and then did so but it put us behind schedule so we had to take our pizza entree to go
Lemon Drop 🍸/Chicken Florencio /Mountain Dew and Tiramisu is the winning combination. Great evening- thanks Katrina
It was my sister’s bday. We happened to come during happy hour and didn’t even know it until after we ordered 4 appetizers and 2 large pizzas. All was excellent for less than we were expecting. Had a great time. Great food and service too!
This was our first time at La Barra and we absolutely loved it. The food was phenomenal and the service was fantastic as well. We definitely will be back soon (and often!).
Pleasant service. Good food.
Service was great. Food was delicious.
The restaurant was just ok. Was served a glass of wine in a filthy glass. They were kind enough to replace. Waiter was nice and accommodating. Ambiance not special and food was average. Price a bit higher than expected for the food and ambience. It reminded me of the old TJIF restaurants.
