See you at La Barra!
The food was good, but not enough to bring me back. I can't speak for the pizzas, since we didn't order any, but they looked good and they seem to be the mainstay of this restaurant. I ordered the maple old fashioned from the specialty drink menu. It had four ingredients listed. When they brought the drink I noticed it didn't have an orange or the cinnamon stick. I found out that they were out of cinnamon and the bartender forgot to include the orange, so it turns out that I got bourbon and maple syrup without explanation. Sent it back and asked for a regular old fashioned - came back with no orange or cherry, just dark liquid and a square of ice. Disappointing.
Excellent Italian food especially the lasagna and the Artisan pizza.
I’ve been there twice and the food is delicious! The restaurant and very nice and the servers are great. The only complaint is the hostess at my last visit. He was very rude to me, I told him that I have a reservation and he completely ignored me and told me that he was going to assist someone else first, which end it up being my dad!! Not professional at all
Service was poor. Our waiter had too many tables to take care of. Got our order wrong. Food came out at different times. We were celebrating two birthdays and we weren't even offered a dessert menu or coffee. We will never go back.
The food was pretty good, except one of the pizza's was terrible. Unfortunately the service was not very good. Took way too long. We ordered 3 pizza's. Two came out and were delicious, but the third wasn't brought out to us until almost 20 minutes later. Don't know why. It was soggy from sitting I think. I am going to give them one more try at their Riverside location. We ordered 3 small plates, which were very good.
Katrina makes all your problems go away. 🍋🍸, focaccia w ricotta, salmon, and of course tiramisu. Thanks again Katrina
Very good experience. Nice that manager(Alysia) stopped by to ask how everything was.
Very cute outdoor patio with live music on a Friday night. Great server and good food. Poor service at the inside bar while waiting for a table outside, but otherwise would certainly recommend.
Great place for large crowds! Not a place for cozy dinner!
Love the dough rewards ricotta and ciabatta combo! Great prosciutto wrapped 🐔
First time visitor. Food quality was great. We will be back for sure.
Yes, but there were hardly any ingredients on our pizzas. We could hardly find the mushroom and basil on one of our pizzas, and my husband said there wasn't much sausage on the sausage and mushroom pizza. The small pizza we ordered had the most ingredients. We have had better pizzas at the La Barra in Riverside, which is closed on Mondays.
Special meal w bro - fantastic dough rewards app and succulent tiramisu.
Great, flexible service. Delicious food. Good drinks. I'll be back.
Beautiful evening, with overflow crowd at outdoor patio overlooking pond. Very friendly and knowledgeable server. Thoroughly enjoyed the spicy orecchiette with sausage and kale. Enough to take home. The bracciole of cheesy polenta with perfectly cooked stuffed beef slices also a winner.
One of my favorite places to eat at! Great food, great service, great cocktails and ambiance.
Great choices of homemade pizzas: artisan, thin crust and Chicago deep. We had the artisan and thin. Both delicious. We had the grilled calamari for an appetizer. Very chewy, not good and portion size was minimal at best. Our waiter was excellent and attentive.
I love the patio at La Barra. Unfortunately, the service was extremely slow on our last visit. We didn’t have silverware for the first 5 minutes after the bread was dropped from, so we couldn’t butter the bread. 5 minutes later, a kid brought the olive oil & parm for dipping. My husband’s soda took a long time to get refills. I was happy with their beer selection. I ordered the lemon chicken which was disappointing. It just didn’t have much flavor. The “smashed potatoes” on the side were just chunks of potatoes. Very little “smashing” was applied. They tasted good, just not what I expected from the description. Not sure if I’ll be back.
Be prepared to listen to load Rock music when eating.
Angel our waiter was great! Food was good. Waayyyy to loud to hear the person across from you. Probably won’t go back for that reason
We just love La Barra you must check it out.
I love La Barra. This is my favorite restaurant to go to during the summer to sit out on the patio. The food is amazing, drinks are great and the service is always phenomenal.
Awesome pizza and 🍋🍸followed by super tasty sacrapantina.
I don't usually write reviews but my first experience at La Barra this past weekend was exceptionally bad. We were a group of 12 (6 adults, 6 kids ages 2-6 years old) WITH a reservation. Table was not ready when we arrived, had to wait at least 10 min. Once seated, did not see a waiter for 15 minutes and had to ask the host to send our waiter over. No silverware or napkins were on the table and had to ask for them once the appetizers were coming out. No effort was made to regularly check in with our table and the plates were not cleared as we finished so the table became cluttered with empty plates. We actually started busing our own plates and putting them on an empty tray since it seemed no one intended to do this. Dinner took about 2 hours start to finish- way too long with young kids. My food was mediocre at best. I don't recall ever experiencing service this bad, and the restaurant wasn't even crowded. Won't be back.
Decent food and great outdoor atmosphere for s warm summer night. Unfortunately, the service was horrible, to the point that we left before dessert, as nobody came back to take our order...
Food and service was excellent.
This was our 2nd time here. Loved it the first time. Food is great, nice patio. This time the service was terrible! Sat unattended for about 10 minutes--finally flagged a busboy down and it was still several minutes before a server showed up, without apology. And it only got worse from there. Frustrating! Would love to return because of the great menu and delicious food, but not with that kind of experience.
Food was excellent. Astphmoshere was perfect. Server was pleasant and did a good job (a little young and felt he lacked experience) But overall a great place! Highly recommend!
WARNING: Open Table allows late reservations for times when the kitchen is closed or closing. Do not make a reservation less than 1-1/2 hours before listed closing time.
We were very satisfied with, the service, price, and food was great. We will definitely come back.
i made a reservation for 6:30pm and my party and i weren't served and seated until 7:20pm. one of the waitresses i had was particulary rude which i thought was unnecessary because of how late we were seated.
My wife and I had dinner at the outside bar. Sam waited on us and couldn't have been any nicer! Great conversation and excellent service. We love La Barra.....great food at a fair price.
Great Atmosphere to sit outside. Great view of a little pond where kids can watch ducks
This was our second trip to La Barra. This trip was not good. One problem we had was the server would only fill the water glass if it was completely empty, instead of asking if we both wanted water. She was to fast to even get the words out to ask for water. Also, we had to wait 40 minutes for a thin crust pizza to come out. Crust was so hard that it was difficult to cut with a knife. I would've needed a steak knife to get through it. We ordered a chiabatta four cheese thin crust the last time, & the pizza was out quickly & the crust was edible. The main issue was the pizza order was WRONG. We specifically ordered a pizza with only red peppers, as I find the other peppers bitter. The pizza came with a mix of mostly yellow peppers, with only a few red peppers on it. We brought this to the attention of the hostess, who was going from table to table seeing how things were. She did offer to have another pizza made if we wanted to wait another 40 minutes. We said no. She directed me to eat the pizza slices that had red peppers on them, pointing to them with her finger. The least they could have done was to not charge for the roasted peppers added, but they did. Poor choice on their part. Not feeling like going back anymore.
Food was good the atmosphere was great!
Thanks to general manager Alysia Rae Prosser for saving my wife’s birthday party! She is awesome and a 5 star person in my book!
Service was excellent food was a little over cooked
We had a table for 10 people. It was a round so we were all able to talk to eachother. We were there for lunch so it was not very crowded. We had pizzas which were very good. I would recommend it..
Manager was amazing and over the top with customer service. Not sure of her name. We went at lunch. She was the best! The server was slow. The service was slow. The restaurant wasn’t busy and food was just ok.
So other than the amazing manager not sure I would go back.
