Great food, atmosphere and service!!! I will definitely be back for my Indian food fix next visit!
Authentic, fine Indian cuisine with a fusion of modern tastes
One of the worst meals we have ever had! Terrible quality
Loved the salmon and broccoli starters. Being with a vegetarian party, the dal went down a treat aling with the veggie starters. the chicken curry was okay, in hindsight would go for another starter. Overall would go again
The service here is exceptional. Attentive staff that didn’t interrupt. The food was outstanding. One of the best dining experiences I’ve had without being super stuffy. We did the transitional tasting menu and it did not disappoint.
Beautiful room, lovely food, service started out attentive but as the restaurant got busy we were ignored. I finally had to flag down the head waiter and ask for a check. No offer of more water, dessert or coffee. Disappointing.
Great food and amazing ambience!
The service was really great. The lamb shank is delicious. Thank you for a nice evening.
Lovely food and service in a really nice setting. Great for a romantic dinner for two. Thank you
Refreshingly different - some great food combinations I have never tried, well spiced and perfectly cooked. Service was to a fine dining standard and the atmosphere was intimate and cosy. My new favourite Indian restaurant in Chelsea/Knightsbridge/Mayfair
We had the Signature Expedition menu, the food was really good. For Indian inspired food it was spicy but not too spicy. Unfortunately, the wine pairing did not convince us. The quality of wine was of very different levels and if you had chosen the fish main, they would go from a red wine to a white wine and back to red, which is usually not recommended. Ambiance is very nice, and very well located close to Sloan Square.
Great Food, Service and Atmosphere!!! Overall outstanding!!!
The express menu was really good value. The prawns masala starter was the star of the show. It was absolutely delicious as was the smoky black Dahl. And the cocktail - one inspired by Chelsea Flower Show was a lunchtime indulgence to rejoice in. The venison certainly wasn’t poor, nor were the breads. Deserts were fabulous. The ‘front room’/teashop feel was great, service spot on - the thumping from works next door (harsh perhaps to mark Kutir down for that) was the only ‘blot’. I plan to return with friends.
Amazing food and a different way to enjoy Indian flavours!
This is the best Indian food I had in London. The flavors were incredible and everything was cooked to perfection. I love the thought behind each dish and the chef put his own spin on classic dishes. The ambiance is so charming. I loved the wallpaper and the homey feel. All of the staff were warm we friendly and very attentive.
A wonderful find, we have visited 3 times with different friends and all agree it is superb
We had a wonderful evening Azim who looked after us was fantastic! The food was epic will certainly be back again.
Loved Kutir! Possibly the best Indian food I've ever eaten (over many years of loving Indian food); pleasant ambiance and very friendly staff. We had the regular tasting menu, with wine pairings, and everything was fantastic. The staff was very accommodating, substituting a vegetarian dish for the lamb (which I don't eat) and adding a dish of morels. The morels, together with the prawns, were probably my favorite items, but, really, everything was outstanding. Wine pairings were thoughtfully chosen. Highly recommended.
Food was incredibly good, each dish was different but equally tasty. We had the tasting menu with wine pairing, which was expensive, but one of the best meals in a long time. Service was very good and an interesting location. Next time I would probably go a la carte, as the final courses pushed me over the edge and I was very full!
Tried the early evening set menu-very tasty food, excellent service, nice ambience.
The drinks were great, the table loved the IPA served, and their mango lassi is amongst the best I’ve had. All the food was delicious, including the wonderful vegetarian options.
2 small things prevented me giving a perfect score:
Portion size of the main courses was a little stingy. The chicken tikka had 2 x 2inch pieces of chicken in a sea of masala. Likewise the jackfruit kofta was a single 2x1 inch piece in another sea of masala! Plentiful carbs to accompany the main which was good, however it felt a little like an attempt to ensure fullness of the stomach with rice and bread (the inexpensive things to make), rather than the delicious curries for which one is actually paying for.
The masala teas were poor, dilute in terms of tea flavour yet also considerably over-spiced. As a group of masala tea lovers, we couldn’t drink them.
Overall very good, would visit again. Few small tweaks to make it a regular fixture.
The food was amazing. Excellent quality of the ingredients, flavoursome, super spicy (I realize it might not be for everyone but it worked well for us).
I loved the decor of the room; although it has high ceilings, it felt a bit too cramped, as the tables are very close to each other. Because of this, it could get a noisy.
Service was ok but there is a good margin for improvement. The poured us the wrong wine (from another table probably), messed up a bit in collecting plates. They were warm and friendly though.
Overall a good option, especially for the food you can eat there
The seafood menu was amazing - softshell crab, scallop, prawns and lobster all cooked in innovative ways.
Lovely experience and the food was great! Staff were so friendly and knowledgable, they suggested a great bottle of wine that perfectly paired with our meal!
Charming environment, excellent food. Best Indian meal I've ever had!
The food was absolutely outstanding! Had the Jaltarang set menu with wine partnering. Was absolutely amazing, food taste and presentation was brilliant. Would recommend.
It was great food but we over ordered .. we asked waiter if we are over ordering and he said it was fine.. it turned out way more than what we should have
Otherwise it was v good food and service
The food was fantastic and the place was really amazing
Perfection: attentive service, cohesive, delicious tasting menu (we tried the signature and vegetarian), beautifully constructed Indian food in beautiful presentations, followed by classic dishes served tradition family style. We also had the wine pairings and each glass was generously poured and delightful.
Amazing Indian food, and a cosy welcoming atmosphere with friendly and knowledgeable staff. The Jungle Maas is a must have!
Food was great and the selection of wines was first class
Experience slightly spoiled by group at another table face timing a friend and all shouting at the phone
Incredible food. Really friendly and attentive staff. Great experience.
This may be my second review for Kutir but I wanted to write a review about my most recent experience here.
The food is always delicious but the portions have become much smaller compared to the previous dining experiences. The service on my first visit was so memorable and this time was a bit disappointing and lacked the personal touch.
One of the things I enjoy about returning to a restaurant I’ve dined at before is to be remembered and welcomed back. But unfortunately, they don’t seem to make a note on their system for anything like this.
LONDON is full of restaurants and new restaurants opening everyday, it’s crucial for each establishment to try their best to make every customer feel special and also at least remember their returning customers. Hope this will be helpful.
The place was very pretty and the food incredibly good. Service was great as well.
I can’t say enough about this meal. The ambiance is welcoming, cozy, bright, and well maintained. The service was fabulous - helpful and friendly. The drinks were superb, and the food - WOW! We had the appetizers of cakes and yogurt, lamb, scallops, and naan. It’s was a lot of four people (we were starving). I honestly could not pick my favorite. We had the chicken tikka Marsala and the eggplant dishes - best I’ve ever had. For dessert we had the coffee aperitif, banana/ chocolate dessert and the orange dessert. That drink was phenomenal. Just really amazing, not overwhelming, and again, great staff.
Great food and service. Just got very loud if your placed next to a big group in a small room. I guess there isn't much they can do about that. Would recommend others to visit!
Celebrated our 44th wedding anniversary with an amazing meal. Thank you so much!
Abhishek and team did an excellent 5-star job in taking great care of us. The food is 5 star, service is 5 star and so is the ambience. I would highly recommend Kutir for a tasty, sophisticated Indian meal.
At this price-tag, Indian cuisine can be a tough one to elevate to the category elegant fine-dining. Kutir ticks most of the boxes: excellent service, elegant tableware, ambient atmosphere. The flavours hit the mark. The soft-shell crab starter was a hit for me, and was the dish I had come specifically to try. The chocolate banana desert was very artfully presented and tasted outstanding. Our mains were some of the best Indian dishes we've had in London, but weren't as fussy as you might expect in the surroundings. We came away full and very satisfied after 2.5 courses each. A solid performance from Kutir.
authentic Indian food in a lovely townhouse right off King's Road, shared several appetizers and large plates, all tasted great, service most gracious
Food staff and ambience were great
We were recommended by the manager of Ramthanbore Safari Park in India to visit and were not disappointed!
Thank you for a great birthday celebration night to all
