Great meal. Lamb was delicious and came out fast which was good!
Was looked after very well, service was great. Wonderful experience
Very good value. Great ambience. Great staff. Food presentation will send instagrammers wild. Japanese fusion but quite Western Japanese. Beer offerings could be widened to include a greater range of light beers. A lot of people like light beer with food of this type.
Good service. Fairly busy on a Tuesday which is surprising. Menu needs an update as some of the items did not work out. Beautiful view but need sunnies if you are having dinner by the window.
Surely we'll go there again. Family friendly and great staff service.
I probably wouldn’t go here again unless I was staying in the hotel (which is why I came here anyway). Everything was under seasoned and lack luster.
The service was lovely and we got complimentary champagne for my birthday on arrival.
The views are stunning but i’m not sure it’s worth it for the quality of the food.
The food, views and service were all really outstanding. Would absolutely recommend!
It was lovely. Highly recommend! Food came out fast and it was delicious
The food and service was outstanding as well as the view. I can’t wait to go back!
Tantalizing taste of flavors. Pumpkin ice cream dessert was superb. Great place to share a meal with friends.
Poor service really detracted from this experience. Waiters were great until we ordered then MIA. Food was lovely and the view is something to see.
Lovely meal and great service. Very efficiently run restaurant.
Area felt more like a cafeteria than a nice restaurant. Not fine dining, more casual with patrons dressed accordingly.
First time eating here and it lived up to expectations. Stunning views of the city and the service was very attentive. Best chicken sando I have ever eaten. Serving sizes were generous and perfect to share. Will definitely be back
Given plenty of empty tables at the time we were booked in for should have been given a window seat allowing for these tables to become free earlier for others to enjoy the experience seating arrangements not great too crowded
The atmosphere was nice, waiters were friendly and polite. However, food was average and didn’t seem worth the price we paid for. Hopefully it will get better.
New Years Day
We arrived with excitement for a level of service and ambience the design and publicity suggested the venue would have . We were greeted with polite staff - all new to the venue and seemingly unsure of menu and other. Our expectation of a Japanese flavour / style was short lived. Dress code requested but plenty of casually dressed hotel patrons with children about.
One Sake on menu was a great disappointment - the local pub does this better and we even needed to request to have chopsticks for the Ramen - as common cutlery the norm - not even the proper wooden spoon - nothing like to promo photo.
Changing $$ champagne brands per glass - we had to request to change the glasses - to not effect the flavour. Staff happy to pour over previous drink.
Entrees - large serves , Chicken Katsu sandwich , Pork Bao and Crab brioche all good, overly large when shared with mains ,.
After waiting sometime , we sent back the slow cooked " hard chewy " beef $ 30.00 , the $38.00 salmon although cooked well nothing surprising or different , $ 38 .00 Chicken OK , Ramen OK .
We didnt bother with the desert - too hard .
Splitting the bill across the table of 6 ( during COVID ) a chore and took 20 mins to pay and leave . They dont split the bill apparently which they tell you only when you pay - it maybe in little print somewhere -But I did ring to confirm that they could in fact split the bill.
For a large commercial hotel both the Public Holiday Surcharge and Visa surcharges were added to the bill. .
This place has teething issues and will be interesting how it develops in time.
No rush to return .
We we're very excited to be welcoming in the New Year at Koomo, as one of the newest restaurants in Adelaide. Welcomed with an amazing outlook across Adelaide and what appeared to be a beautiful venue we thought we we're in for a great night. Unfortunately, we couldn't have been more wrong! As the beauty of the venue peeled away to reveal unprofessional staff, terrible service and worst of all subpar food we we're left feeling rather disappointed. Having told the restaurant both prior to arrival and on arrival that two members of our party we're vegan, we we're quite surprised and somewhat disturbed to discover they had been served the same starter as the rest of us which was in fact not vegan. The mains we're incredibly uninspired, sides we're inexplicably missing and the vegan menu was also missing components (which is difficult to comprehend given the night was pre-booked with a set menu - surely the kitchen has no excuse to be unprepared?) Also quite shocking that in such an establishment not one bartender is capable of making a dirty martini? Overall an incredibly disappointing New Year's Eve experience, after spending close to $200 per person you would hope to enjoy a meal worthy of the beautiful location and view.
Would recommend taking the elevator to the 10th floor, having a look at the beautiful view, and swiftly leaving - avoiding Koomo at all costs!
Food tasty, although there could be more options for the lunch menu. Staff super friendly and helpful, but at times not attentive/observant to when our table required water refills or for dishes to be cleared. Nice views and beautiful natural light. Overall, I would recommend dining here
We really enjoyed ourselves. We were outside so it was a bit windy but still great.
Wonderful customer service, and a lovely Christmas lunch.
The Sando and Soft Shell Crab sliders were quite heavy for an entree. Taste of bread was overpowering as we thought the restaurant was focusing on seafood. Pork Belly and Lamb mains were rich and tasty but nothing exciting. Pork Belly lacked something on the plate to cut the rich fat taste that was overpowering. I wasn’t recommended to add a salad which in hindsight may have helped. The saving grace for my wife and I were the desserts - Matcha Cake and Wantons with White Chocolate. These were super delicious, made with care, extremely light, just the perfect hint of sweetness. Our host Wendy perfectly matched it with a dessert wine that left us wanting for more. So overall definitely give the entree and mains a miss and a massive thumbs up for the dessert.
Really nice view and great food!
It would've been nice if they actually did my request for a birthday plate, we didn't get any for my partner's dessert. Other than that, all good.
We dined at Kokomo on Christmas Eve, and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The restaurant is set on the 10th level of the new Crowne Plaza Hotel, and the views all around are excellent. Service is efficient and friendly, and the food and presentation is sensational, with prices being reasonable. We were charged for 2 bottles of wine when we only had one, but this was sorted very quickly and without fuss. Being in a hotel, some of the guests were dressed very casually which was a little disappointing but this is to be expected.
Would definitely recommend and will return.
Great food and ambience. Interesting range of starters; we enjoyed every dish selected. Will definitely go back for more. Staff are very helpful.
My son and I visited Koomo for our Christmas Eve Eve dinner and would highly recommend it
Food was amazing!
Service drone Wendy was top notch!
Highly recommend
Loved everything. Katsu sandwich was amazing. Outstanding service from the lady with short black hair. Was clearly running the show and was very very good at what she does. The whole experience was a pleasure.
Absolutely amazing food and service, the team were super friendly and very accommodating.
Thank you Lucy and your team for a great night, we will be definitely be returning for more experiences.
Food was average. Plates and glasses were not well cleaned. Service and locations was fantastic.
Great good, better service. Love the wine menu.
Will come back
The food and service at the restaurant was exceptional and couldn't fault the facilities. I did not spend any length of time in the bar but seemed to be very good although the service for a drink took too long. The view from both the Bar and restaurant was possibly the best in Adelaide and will be back for further drinks.
Exceptional food and service A1. Not cheap but is was worth it. Had a great evening.
Love this restaurant and always gets great service and good food.
We had the ramen again today. It was still very good, but not as amazing as the first time.
Specifically, the noodles were over cooked, and the broth much lighter than last time. (Still yummy tho) the mushrooms blew me away the first time, today they were meh.
Would love to see more consistency in this dish over all but still enjoyable.
Service was attentive and couldn’t not fault it so will absolutely return and definitely recommend.
It was a solid experience. I expected a little more based on the concept and the slick digital presence though. The service staff, whilst friendly, are pretty green. An entree was forgotten, but once picked up it was served and removed from our final bill. Apologies came from the maitre d but not from the original waiter. Small thing but noticed.
Wine list was solid and not over priced. Food was on the expensive end but good potions and flavours. And if you're going to order waygu steak, then you're going to pay for it and it was delicious so we were more than happy.
All up- a good accommodation hotel restaurant. Being a local it's probably not somewhere I would head back to, but if I was in town on business and didn't want to venture out, then the experience was very good.
We were sat outside and promptly forgotten about. When a server came over to us, we still hadn’t gotten table water or ordered drinks and he was asking what we would like to eat.
Entrees were good
Ramen and udon for main were both horrendous, unlike any ramen or udon I have ever tried before.
Lucy, our waitress, was lovely and knowledgeable and helped select a nice sake
Awesome food and service - loved. And that view!!! Wow
Great location - Level 10 - pre-dinner drinks pool deck before entering Koomo.
A new and unique view of the Adelaide skyline.
New dining experience for Adelaide- it’s worth it. Food and service v good and great ambiance.
Stunning decor, great vibe, incredible food and service that built rapport and connection which we LOVED
Amazing food & service, will definitely be coming back!
