Kizuna Sushi Bistro
Amazing from start to finish. Had the spicy miso soup, calamari salad, susushimi plater and an assortment of rolls. Great service, super fresh fish, great desert. Best sushi we have had in the burbs.
Best sushi! Been to japan and lived in Seattle and I would choose this place every time. And the inspired food, like the poke tacos, are phenomenal. The service is A plus which makes it even better! So happy this place exists!
Worth every penny. Best sushi I’ve ever had.
We love your restaurant and will be back again soon!
Hands down. Absolutely the best. Kizuna never disappoints.
It's a small place but the best sushi in the western suburbs! They have unique rolls and are accommodating with special requests. They also have Forbidden/Black Rice which is delicious and rare to find. We love this place and so does my niece (she is a 13 y/o foodie...). Reserve early!
Good food and ambience. Smaller place so make a reservation.
My husband and I love this little restaurant. The food is incredibly delicious, inventive and and appetizing to the eye as well. We usually eat here once every other month. Service and food is consistent and top notch!
Best. Sushi. Ever. You will not be disappointed.
Service is outstanding. I have brought several frie ads here for the first time, and they all say they cannot wait to go back. See you tomorrow.
Good food but poor service. Too many people working each table so that orders get missed or messed up. Lots of staff but the place is chaotic. All the sushi was excellent.
Wonderful & distinct. We were pleasantly surprised. The menu is mostly sushi rolls. Care was put into such original items—everything was delicious & different. Generous portion sizes. Looking forward to our return. Great veggie & gliten free menus.
First time here was great. Server was polite and attentive. The food was delicious, appropriate portion sizes, and priced reasonably. Will come again!
Gino is amazing and the food is always excellent!!!
Excellent food and great ambiance!
Five star service with inventive sushi rolls! Wonderful, thoughtful flavor combinations. You can get your traditional sushi, rolls etc but try something new! Presentation of dishes is the tops! So happy to see this restaurant is a success. Been here 4 times and it just keeps getting better!
Excellent Food. Sashimi was very fresh. Strongly recommend.
Didn’t deserve the high ratings it has received! My sons order was completely wrong! I ordered Tuna roll with avocado. The tuna was mushy, very poor quality! Good tuna is firm! Very disappointed! We will not return
Diane, we are so sorry to hear that you're experience was less than the standard we strive for. We do our best to set the bar high and must have missed that mark with your family. If you'd ever be willing to give us another try, we'd love to do what we can to make it up to you.
Better than hokkai, not as good as sushi ukai. And the price reflects that perfectly. Very solid delicious sushi and it wont break the bank like sushi ukai.
I think you truly get what you pay for.
big fan of this restaurant. sushi is always fresh, creative and delicious. nice beer and saki selections.
Incredible food and service as always. Gino and the team are putting out amazing food, in a super welcoming environment.
What in the world is going on?!?! 5 stars??? Seriously?!?!
My wife and I eat out often and the no service had us leave to never come back.
There was 1 table taken and literally no one acknowledged us after 10 minutes of standing in the entrance/front door.
We left and went to glen prairie just next door and had a very nice dinner, food and service was excellent.
This is maybe a 1 star restaurant if the food is outstanding.
We had a very good experience, our first, at Kizuna Sushi Bistro this visit. The sushi dishes were excellent (but be careful ordering the "spicy" rolls because they aren't kidding!!), and their appearance on the plate was equally pleasing. The value was standard for what you'd expect. I thought our server was very good, too.
Surprisingly good sushi for a local suburb restaurant. I appreciated that the chef showed restraint in the flavoring of the sauces as I'm not a fan of dousing sushi in sweet, rich sauces as most Americanized restaurants like to do. I do wish they had more hot appetizer options and fewer rolls that use cream cheese. However, the ones we did select were very tasty and prepared well.
Service was very friendly and efficient. The space is rather cramped so don't plan on having an intimate conversation unless you want the whole restaurant to hear.
Very small high quality with exceptional service!
This is my new favorite sushi place. Staff is awesome, so friendly, attentive and helpful. The sushi is fresh and inventive. Love this place.
overall this restaurant wasn’t bad ... what turned us off is that we ordered our last roll AND dessert at the same time. It took from the time the roll came 45 mins to get our dessert 👎🏼 and we only had ice cream balls. I’m not sure what was going on but for us that was a huge turn off.
I would highly recommend Kizuna Bistro, very intimate space. Sushi is outstanding!!! Very fun restaurant. Busy, make a reservation if you can.
We had visited Kizuna once a few months back on a random Friday. We were very satisfied with not only the quality of the food, but also the phenomenal attention to detail. We decided to visit this week again for our anniversary, and had inquired about an Omakase offering a few days before our reservation. Upon arrival the chef had prepared a beautiful night of food for us. Every dish was as delicious as it was beautiful. We left blown away by the night we just had. Chef Cesar is a true artist. I would also like to mention Gino who was our server that night. He passion and knowledge are truly beyond anything I’ve experienced at a restaraunt before. We will 100% be back.
The food is excellent, thoughtfully prepared, and innovative. Fresh. They care about quality. The only down side would be that it's a bit pricey, and the seating area is small and a bit cramped. But the food is good.
Love Kizuna Sushi Bistro, I love the small, charming atmosphere.
Staff is wonderful, food great!!!! Look forward to going back soon
Not only is this some of the freshest, most tender fish around, but despite the very small size of the in-restaurant seating area, they don't rush you to finish your meal and leave. The service was friendly and impeccable, carefully looking out for my food allergies and making us feel welcome to relax throughout and after our meal. We got both sashimi and some specialty rolls, all of which were very fresh and extremely delicious. In fact, we opted for more sashimi pieces instead of dessert. I'm now keeping the menu in my car so that I can pick up as I'm driving past when I don't have time to eat in!
Excellent service and good for a great price
Aside from it being really tiny (so DO make a reservation) this place is awesome! The staff was so nice and the food was amazing. I'm always looking for really good sushi and I'm so happy we found this place.
We celebrated my sis in law’s birthday here at KIZUNA- 4 in our party. Although disappointed that they did not serve the udon soup for dinner, this was quickly replaced with satisfaction and discovery with the sushi that followed. Excellent sushi here and presentation as well as great service from Gino our server. It’s a definite return for all of us.
My wife and I had a great lunch at Kizuna. Food was great and price was average food sushi, but I was shocked how small the seating area is. If ever table was taken up it may have been a little closterphobic. I hope they expand and they will be a easy 5 star.
Absolutely fabulous. Kizuna really lived up the the reviews / hype. This restaurant is very small (6 tables + a counter), but did not feel like it. The food itself was interesting and delicious. You can really tell the team is putting in the time and paying attention to the details. For as good as the food was, the service was even better. The front end staff were personable and welcoming. We will definitely be back.
Excellent food and great service. It is a very quaint atmosphere and a very enjoyable experience.
Outstanding food and service as usual. Gino is a lively and friendly host. Caesar is an amazing chef. Sushi is fresh and nice variety of different rolls.
This was my 3rd time there and every experience has been wonderful. The staff is so kind and helpful. The ambiance is relaxing and upscale. The food is hands down the best. The sushi is different because they use various papers rather than only seaweed wrap and they have black rice. The flavor combinations in the rolls are to die for and we have never had a roll that was mediocre. All the rolls are outstanding. The seaweed cucumber salad and the spicy miso soup are a favorite too. You can taste the true flavors of fresh ingredients in everything. They have a To Go menu for pick up or you can use delivery services as well if they are full for the evening as it is a very small place.
Food and service were outstanding. Creative, well-balanced and so tasty. Can't wait to come back.
