Kitchens on Kent
The food was exceptional. And the wait staff went above and beyond our needs.
Food is well prepared and presented
Variety of offerings outstanding
Service staff are great
The Birthday presentation was well received and a lovely gesture
Very elegant buffet style restaurant. Cater for a variety of tastes - seafood, indian, pizza, carvery, sushi bar. Felt very exclusive. Staff were quick to replenish plates, cutlery after each serving.
Can have made to order naan bread, noodles, etc.
Seafood was very fresh (though small portions). The lamb roast was divine and a nice variety of dessert options.
Very nice dining area (though I found the couches were a bit too soft and sunk into them; probably an idea to change this or place additional cushion pads to raise up to the table.
The Rose wine special offer was a nice touch to add further value to the experience.
Would definitely recommend dining here for a special occasion, in our case we were celebrating a wedding anniversary and my aunt's 60th.
Nice variety. Great atmosphere and very good service. Highly recommended.
After having been to both Melbourne and Sydney, it’s not worth the money and the variety and quality lacks compared Melbourne location. Very disappointed for $115 per person
Nice hotel and restaurant, great ambience, not a very large selection of food, the food was good but not exceptional. The table we had was very small for four people. Quite expensive even with the book 4 pay 3 promotion. More paying for dining at the location rather than for the quality and selection of the food. In the last hour of the dinner hour, staff were scattered, juice jugs weren't filled, dessert bar was completely unmanned and we had to scoop ice-cream ourselves. Throughout the entire night, our used dishes were being collected very slowly, and there were no area where we can put our used dishes.
Requested a crab knife from the waiter but was given the incorrect item, this lead me to cut my thumb with the crab shell. The front desk was good and got me some band-aids.
Delightful evening - possible to have tasting-sized portions of the wonderful food stations in the buffet. Stand out for me was the seafood station - sushi, sashimi, prawns, bugs, oysters, crab... Also delightful Indian, Chinese, Italian, carvery, all topped off with a delicious and bountiful dessert selection. A most enjoyable evening, and grateful for our waitress' suggestion of the newly procured chardonnay on the menu.
Absolutely phenomenal experience. Buffet taken to the next level.....incredible service from the staff....sushi and seafood 10/10....naan bread...to die for....only MINOR comment....dumplings and duck pancakes had been left out a little too long so weren't so good....other than that.. delicious. Also, super high quality desserts for a buffet.
The food was great! Better than expected from a buffet style restaurant. There is a large selection, especially for desserts.
The service is also fantastic!
The one thing I didn’t love was the background music. It is a little strange.
We are now looking at having a function there for 30 people
The staff were outstanding, the food was great, would highly recommend.
Our experience overall was amazing. The hostess, the waiters were great and the food was really good quality.
My only fault was at 7:10 we were told by the waiter that we needed the table back by 7pm when our 2 hours was from 5:30-7:30 which was confusing. Maybe if they told us that we had to be out by 7 it would have changed things
Was a little disappointed in the experience to say the least , I booked in for Valentine’s Day and for the amount of money that was to be spent was left wanting! The service was ok but we were served a glass of champagne that was about a mouth full, the buffet although hosting quite a choice was lacking in flavour the meat was chewy, the prawns salty and the lobster that was on offer was overcooked and rubbery . We ordered sparkling water to start off with and had a glass each and the rest of the bottle disappeared.... we then ordered some cocktails and although pleasant when they arrived took 1/2 an hour to arrive !!!!.
This was supposed to be a special night but was disappointed. The service staff deducted the cost of the cocktails but not a good night !
First valentines dinner as a married couple
Service was excellent. Table setting was nice. Seafood was fresh. Dessert have a lot of choice. I like the naan bread because it's made to your order.
Seafood offering are so inconsistent. Been there 3 times and the last time not only was there no crab but no sashimi! I can understand that the crab was substituted for the mussels on offer but when I asked about the lack of sashimi they said it was not available for lunch anymore. We chose Kitchen on Kent specifically for the sashimi so I was deeply disappointed that they have changed their lunch offerings.
Everything about this place was outstanding , the staff was magnificent ! The food was amazing and thank you to all the staff that made our anniversary very special and added a special little feature to top off our lunch , my fiance was amazing and so impressed with everything we can't wait to dine in again ! ,
Nice food and atmosphere
Food was nice but not exceptional . Limited options in the hot food section of buffet & mediocre in flavour which was a let down , had higher expectations based on reviews & the hotel itself . Seafood was nice but all my oysters had grit in them. Dessert bar was good . Overall have had better seafood buffett’s at other hotels in Sydney. Still a lovely hotel with great service , although it now appears to be catering to the Asian middle class market & has lost some of its old English charm.
Great Buffet for families and relatives- variety of Seafood (Lobster, Crab, Oysters, Prawns, Sushi)-
Higher cost then other hotel Buffet's around in Sydney- Customer service is good however the female host is not as pleasant (Could be due to how busy it was during the long weekend)
Food was fresh- We went on a Saturday night.
We had a table of 5 for a birthday lunch and it was relaxed. The drink waiter was professional and beverages were at hotel prices, higher end especially by the glass. Loved the different food stations something to suit everyone. The sweets were varied and attractively displayed.
A great lunch venue for a small group.
Too many people around the buffet and oysters small.
Our table was very untidy with crumbs under the table which they had the lunch dinner break to be able to attend too. My chair also had crumbs like children had been sitting there prior.
The price of the drinks was outrageous minimum price $17 and buffet sashimi and suckling pig portion sizes very small. Food items we’re taking a while to be topped up at the buffet
Had to ask twice for table water
Food value not worth the price, very few choice for mains, lots of desert choice tho, the service is great, but overall, not recommended.
We had great service. The variety of the food on the buffet was excellent. We had the added bonus of Grilled Lobster Tails- delicious!
Not recommend. Not worth $98. I went to $28
buffet in RSL is better than this.
Excellent buffet experience at Kitchen on Kent, great food, service and ambience. Definitely will visit again.
Good location, great setup, quiet a bit of options, you'll get service when the stuff is not busy, but when they are you can't get your drinks for a while. The food for what's there is great, great choice and part of it is cooked fresh on the spot. huge dessert buffet.
Overall, service was great, delicious and wide variety of food, great value and perfect ambience!
We had been to this place prior to the renovation and we were pleasantly surprised in how this place has been renovated. The service is as still the same - excellent service. But the whole food experience was just wonderful!
Thanks Langham Sydney!
An excellent experience with high quality food. We had 30% off the food bill which made the buffet more reasonable in price. $8 for one Soda water was ridiculous when other places do not charge for it!
Seafood were lovely & fresh. Went there to celebrate a birthday. Second time there. Didn't disappoint. Loved it. Will definitely go back again.
Good ambience, service and quality of food. There are so many choices that I couldn’t decide what to have. Definitely good value for those who loves food and buffet.
We came on time and the receptionist let us wait and never came back to us, there’s one guy who just came to us to assist and politely tour us around, coz we’ve been standing there for quite sometime, while there’s group of people the receptionist assist first and let them in even if we came in first. The wait staff are very helpful and accomodating, just had a bad experience with the receptionist!
I really enjoyed my dinner and I invited my friend for this wonderful place
We had top star food and service
I appreciated all workers who were serving us
Very enjoyable experience to spend New Years Day here.
We were informed there was a “special” nye price only on arrival of $200/head. A call to inform us prior if this change would have sufficed. Poor service. Very disappointed. Was not worth the $400 bill.
Excellent food and services. Best seafood buffet restaurant in Sydney.
The seafood especially the lobsters were sensational. The sushi and sashimi as well as the hot food were awesome. The letdown were the fruits. The pineapple was quite sour and the rockmelon and honeydew melon seemed to have been standing out for a long time that they started to smell a bit.
Service staff were very friendly but didn’t have the initiative to refill our glasses of water. We had to ask them for a refill every time.
Good food selection and service, ice cream and naan and pasta was a real highlight. Chefs are friendly
Limited choice of food - value for money (No) but the environment and services are great.
