Great experience! Great value! Can’t wait to go back!
Value for money great
Little buzzer to ask for assistance instead of trying to make eye contact with waiting staff, great
Little private room with 2 tables, awesome!
Only down point was how loud the music was, we almost had to shout
Excellent food, nice restaurant with good service. The restaurant was good for kids, even our infant. However, the restaurant lacked diaper changing boards in the toilets. We were given the option of going to "a closet" (!!!) so we unfortunately had to change our baby's diaper at the table on the booth seats.
Fun social place to eat with great food. Good for groups.
Great experience! Took time to make my partner’s birthday special
Go try the food, you won't regret it!
The venue needs a better ventilation. Our coats and hair was so stinky after we left. The see food that we cooked was fantastic, while the beef tongue was very chewy (used to grilled tongue melting in your mouth).
hostile waiter at the front desk
quality of food is nice. the same as in Tokyo. enjoyed genuine YAKINIKU.
Service is usually poor and haphazard. However, if you want authentic Japanese bbq this is the only place in the UK. Me and my Japanese wife always go here when we visit London and besides the service are never disappointed. Go and enjoy....
1st time to this location. Frequently visit the Holborn location.
Same amazing food, only “complaint” are the grills aren’t as hot/quick as Holborn, however he difference is minimal.
But then again, if you’re there for leisure and have the time to spare, it’s perfect!
My favourite place to eat (this and the Holborn location). A bit pricey but fantastic... especially with a carafe of warm sake!
excellent food and service
Some of the worst service Ive seen in a restaurant in London. They were clearly understaffed as we constantly had to look for the waiter to ask for help or get drinks. It took us 4 times of asking to get the bill. Not great.
Once we were seated the service was great. One of our bbq’s initially was taking a very long time to cook food but then one of the staff members fixed it up quickly.
Food was delicious and the happy hour is definitely great value!
It’s a little expensive considering you cook your own food! But it tastes sooooo good and it’s fun to bbq it yourself.
As a table of two we were on a little booth that had one side which was fine except we were facing the wall so it felt a bit odd.
Service is quite neutral but quick. We ordered a side that we never got (although we didn’t chase because we didn’t need it - we got the set menu for 2 and it was a perfect amount). It was still on the bill and they happily took it off for us
Amazing Food, Wonderful Staff - Went To Celebrate My Boyfriend's Birthday And The Staff Went Above And Beyond For Us ♥️ Couldn't Have Asked For A More Amazing Experience ♥️♥️♥️ Cannot Wait To Dine With Them Again !! 😁
Venue is lovely and food is great, however would be nice to get more meat for what we pay for!
Very average food, a bit dirty grills
The food was absolutely delicious, everything was very well seasoned. The miso duck breast stood out for me and the whole experience is quite fun. Will definitely be going back!
Great service, staff were friendly and food was yum
The food was very delicious but the service was a long wait. It took about 45 minutes before our mains arrive which were raw meats to be cooked by us.
I went here with my friend and we ordered the 3 course brunch which was a good price. 1 starter, 3 bbq and dessert. Plus soup, rice and salad were included. It was a fun BBQ experience as we cooked our food. We were so full afterwards. There is a mix of meat and seafood on their menu. I'd suggest to book a table in advance as the restaurant gets very busy. If you like Korean BBQ, then you will love the Japanese BBQ here.
Really fun and great food. Would be easier to eat from rice bowls rather than plates
Went out for a date with my boyfriend and food was really great but we were put in a shared room with a table of rowdy university students, so the experience wasn't great. Our food came quickly but the staff weren't as quick to respond after that. I would go again but would make sure to check first if it's a shared room or not.
Concept is good but the service was not al that, staff seem to not know what's going on and you do feel rushed there. Meat was really nice but i wouldn't recommend the noodles, this place is good for big groups and if you're doing the meal deal.
Food was great and the excitement of cooking your own was a top hit with the children. The wait staff were very attentive and we had a great couple of hours. BUT and it’s a fairly big one for me, the restrooms were horrendous, really dirty, broken seat and just pretty grim. Unfortunately, that really worries me about the state of the kitchen!
As much as the food was nice and the ambience the service made the evening unpleasant in some respects. We were rushed to leave the table, when having booked there was no indication of there being a time limit, nor were we made aware of one when we were shown to our table. The waitress was very pushy, always wanting to know what we wanted next before having a chance to look at the menus, taking away our plates whilst my friend was still eating and then quickly asking for dessert orders before we even looked. Then once desserts were served and I was still eating she appeared with the bill and the card machine ready to take our payments when we made no indication that we were ready to pay. Such poor service, making a very negative dining experience at what could be a very pleasant restaurant.
We were celebrating my girlfriend birthday !!! Amazing service, happy and friendly staff and delicious food. Thank you so much from Russian hehehe
Excellent food & service with reasonable prices. Went during the week at lunch time where you can get happy hour on alcoholic drinks 50% off. Had a set menu "meat feast" £50 for 2 persons, excellent value for money and excellent quality.
I went there with my two daughters, a bit afraid of staying in a restaurant with the kids with me. The atmosphere is very relaxed, definitely, a family-friendly place and the self-cooking grill in the middle of the table was the big attraction of the evening. The food was very good! We picked a set menu for 4 and we were in 5, and we struggled to finish it!
Great food and good service
One of the best restaurant meals I've ever had. The sauces and marinades were especially delicious. The produce and meat were all fresh and flavourful. Also very nice servers, overall an amazing experience and we will come back the next time we are in town!
Great meal and great value. Fantastic experience
Epic amazing food great location and superb service
Always a nice experience to have with friends because it’s unusual to have the opportunity to cook the food by yourself!
The price is affordable
Sweet soy is too sweet for me
Big slice onion, would be better to cut smaller.
But overall is good, include the vibe and food.
I would like to come back.
Absolutely delicious and really fun! Go if you can
Excellent food, great atmosphere, very different experience. Love it!
Very good, though the staff were a little rude at the end. The moment the bill was paid they were more or less forcing us out the door with our drinks still in our hands.
