Just desperately average. A canteen.

A well attended venue, a little tight for space, with tables having a mix of stools and chairs. Simple menu, but well cooked and very tasty. Wine selection O K too.

Really good atmosphere and the staff are great. The sharing plates are good, although some aren't quite right value (3 prawns for £9.50!) and others very cheap (superfood salad for £4). I would say that if you don't want sharing plates there's not a lot on offer on the main menu, but was is there is really good.

Booked on line for 6.15 but due to work commitments arrived about 30 minutes later than booked to find the restaurant very busy (presumably due to its proximity to Eventim Apollo in Hammersmith with Burt Bacharach in town) Initially we received a frosty reception from the hostess on duty who seemed to be unable to handle the situation and eventually left us waiting for the manager to see what he could do and wondering if we would get to eat (we ourselves were bound for Mr Bacharach so needed to be away by 8.00.

However from here on in the experience improved dramatically. The manager quickly offered us a table and food and drinks order were taken. Our server was efficient and friendly and the quality and quantity of the food when it arrived was excellent. We ordered the Kitchen board consisting of Crispy Squid, chicken bites, duck gyozas, Padron peppers, slaw and flat bread We also ordered a small side salad. This all proved more than adequate for two people and taste and quality was excellent.

All in all the bill including drinks (small glass of wine and pint of craft cider) came to less than £40.00 which I though exceptional value for money for what we received especially in London. I would definitely return although if running late would advise ringing ahead or you may loose your table

More of a bar feel than the cover photo suggests. Food good but environment was very informal and definitely more like entering a bar than a restaurant.

We were all a bit confused when we arrived we went up to Kindred but we were actually booked downstairs in a place called the cellar. Food nice portions a bit small for the steak but we added some sides. Staff friendly nice bathrooms!

Couldn't recommend highly enough! Started off with a few cocktails in The Cellar which were all delicious, followed by dinner in the main restaurant was divine! We had the sharing porchetta between 3 of us which came with loads of really tasty sides. Service was great, very attentive - we stayed for a good couple of hours and the staff made sure we were topped up and had everything we wanted. They were also really good with recommendations for food & drinks. Overall, I would definitely suggest a visit to Kindred... Hammersmith has been waiting for somewhere like this!

lovely venue, music too loud, food mediocre, excellent cocktails though!! Service friendly though not up to scratch weren't offered drinks had to ask for the drinks menu, no condiments offered for burger, had to ask, extra fries didn't arrive had to ask, vegan burger not tasty left half of it. partners steak asked for medium arrived blue. lovely venue but food not up to scratch, music too loud and staff though friendly need to sharpen up a bit. hopefully it will settle and turn into the fantastic venue it could be - love the idea of Kindred as a work, events, music, cocktail, restaurant venue

Hi Lucy, Thanks so much for coming and giving us a try during our soft launch. We really appreciate you taking the time to give us some feedback, and you raise some really fair points. This is why we offered 50% off our menu, as we knew there would be some teething issues to begin with! We're really sorry that the service wasn't as organised as we would like, and we're always glad to have feedback on our food. Hope to see you again soon - we promise to be better :)

A reservation was made for dinner at 6.30pm (the party slightly late) on arrival were told the restaurant closes at 7pm. This booking should not have been made possible if there is only a 30 minute turnaround. Also I confirmed the booking the day before and was not informed that Kindred closed at 7pm. Poor start to their opening week.

We have been waiting for somewhere like this to open in Hammersmith/ Fulham for years! Finally we don’t have to trek to other parts of London.... Kindred is amazing!! A wonderful atmosphere - everyone was super friendly and made us feel so welcome. The cocktails were delicious (esp the lychee martini!) and the food was also brilliant. The gyozas was so special and we had the pork sharing platter that was so tasty and served with so many sides. The sticky toffee pudding was also the best I’ve had in London...
The inside is beautiful and they have created a perfect ambiance - we had a great pianist singing throughout the evening, a perfect volume so you could still chat over it. We had a toddler with us and despite the swish surroundings we were made to feel so welcome with him, even when he was running around! Couldn’t recommend Kindeed enough - please go and support this business as West London doesn’t have enough places like this.
