Killmurry and co
Went here on recommendation and really glad we did. A contemporary bar / bistro with excellent service and good, honest, tasty food.
This was the first time we went there, when we booked there was a good selection but when we turned up we were told the menu had changed, if we had been advised I think we would have chosen somewhere else We thought it was quite Expensive and not really worth the money. It just wasn’t our cup of tea and sorry wouldn’t go back
This is a fantastic place, great food and great service! Small plates menus with lots of choice!! Totally recommend!
Our first trip to K&Co. Food was wonderful, really tasty and lovely options for non-meat eaters. The pudding was a slight let-down, but overall, we’d recommend it.
The food was delicious and the 2 staff serving us were very attentive and friendly. We had a great night! I will be back again.
If you are going for drinks then this spot is not bad in Shawlands. If food is your thing you may be disappointed. Interesting menu promises much but does not deliver. Ideas are good but the flavours are not so. One dish was described as mussels with Heinz tomato soup. Our halloumi fries would be more appropriately called halloumi (fish) fingers. Our soft tacos were grey and pretty tasteless. It may just be that our choices were poor.
Great food and service but they had quite a lot of items unavailable to order.
The service was lovely, our waiter was very friendly and attentive. There was a nice atmosphere, people seemed to know the staff and it seemed like there were regulars which can only mean good things! The food was tasty and our deal (four plates and a bottle of wine) was great. I’d be back
Chose to try Kilmurry as a last minute dinner venue, early booking on a Weds night!
Had a look at the menu on their website and was looking forward to their great sounding offerings!
I was looking forward to oysters and mussels; but unfortunately they only have these on the menu at the weekend, a little disappointed but there were other items I liked the sound of.
The menu operates on a ‘tapas’ style; which we were recommended to choose 2 or 3 dishes each.
We did just that, 3 each and a side of sweet potato fries too to share.
Beef Tacos - 2 soft tacos filled with not too spicy juicy and tender steak slices with onions, peppers, etc...lovely!
Pulled Pork buns - Amazing sweet and savoury pulled pork served in cloud soft Korean buns...delicious!
Lamb Stew - Good sized portion of melt in your mouth diced lamb, with still crispy carrot all smothered in a superb thick lamb gravy. Super tasty and probably the best thing we chose!
Cullen Skink - Again, decent sized portion of creamy smoked fishy loveliness...served with some toasted bread - Tasted lovely but would have liked a little more chunks of fish in the soup..the fish had broken down too much unfortunately..but again, tasted wonderful.
Mac’n’Cheese - A favourite of the
Mrs on most menus...we were advised though that this was a vegan dish..so no real cheese in it. Rather, a tomato based sauce with vegan Parmesan. To be honest, it was really tasty...but definitely NOT mac’n’cheese as you would expect it.
All I’m all the meal was great. all the food piping hot and super tasty, presented well
Food comes out ‘as it’s ready’..so don’t expect a started/main type experience.
Great for informal dining with friends, good atmosphere and excellent selection of dishes.
Only slight gripe was on price...it is a little expensive for a local venue...our bill; including a few coffees and soft drinks came to just over £57.
Great food though..recommend!!
Myself and my family of 5 thought the experience was fab, service , food, nice chat with staff throughout. Will def be back. Cheers James
Food is amazing! However it might be an idea to have a menu that isn’t tapas as it becomes quite pricey having 3 dishes at around £8-9 each.
Loved our meal here and will definitely be back! We were recommended Kilmurry & Co by a friend who lives locally and its was 100% worth the trip Southside!
Lovely tapas as usual, favorite are the mussels
Excellent food, cocktails and service. Highly recommended.
Good ambience . An interesting menu with small plates and very good food. Service was poor we had to wait a long time for drinks and when we asked the waitress had clearly forgotten to ordered them for us
relaxed atmosphere, quite expensive but food good
Fabulous food, cocktails and the best service from Pepe!
Met my daughter here on a cold wet Monday night. Inside Kilmurry was warm and welcoming with friendly staff and good service. The mixed platter was excellent and together with olives and halloumi chips more than enough for 2. Another great addition to the south side - will definitely be back
Excellent New Year's Eve meal, good atmosphere and very friendly staff. Thanks!
Excellent food, good service esp as busy. Great ambience and good cocktails. Perfect night basically (and it was New Year’s Eve)
Been a few times now food always great but menu needs updating for the evening as been the same for past few months maybe introduce a few specials.service always great coped well with the large table
Lovely place, outstanding decoration and magical atmosphere. The food is good and chefs are willing to change recipes to suit their customers for example vegan options.
I loved this restaurant. Great atmosphere in the place as soon as you walk in. Friendly and helpful staff. Food was amazing. Had five dishes and the cheese for dessert, and everything was tremendous. Would definitely recommend to all.
Delicious food and fabulous service! We had the four sharing plates and bottle of wine and it was excellent value for money.
Food was fabulous as usual great atmosphere menu needs changing been a few times now but it’s been the same menu quite limited if you’re a regular a new seasonal menu would be nice
Great atmosphere, great service, the food is lovely as well as the restaurant design
Fabulous food and great service. Kilmurrays is a great mix of very good spanish dishes and local food. The offer of bottle of wine and 5 tapas for £40 is an excellent deal! Generous portions and great quality ingredients.
Fantastic Saturday night meal and cocktails! Food was some of the best in the Southside I’ve tried! Fun atmosphere too.
Had a lovely meal with my mum the 5 plates and wine was excellent value. Will be back
For somewhere that specialises in fish the tempura squid was a bit tough and over fried. Prawns drowned in chorizo oil and Chardonnay not the greatest. I think there is more care taken in the look of the place than the actual food. Toilet had no toilet paper and when raised with staff not particularly apologetic. Think there are better places to go in Shawlands if I am honest. But it was one visit so maybe not Always like that.
Food was all Luke warm. Delivered on cold plates, a shame easy to fix. Otherwise it would be good.
We had a great night We had the five plates and a bottle of wine to share for two , the food was great and for house wine it was ok
Staff were great! Attentive and friendly. Food was so delicious and interesting, definitely a treat as I wouldn’t usually spend so much but would love to go again!
Fantastic food, great value, top quality ingredients and great service. Would definitely recommend and will be back. The five small plates and bottle of wine deal for £40 was excellent value.
Really impressed with the food here, and how they did dishes from a wide range of different cuisines so well. The noise level rating I've given it was due to one particular table we were near, and I imagine on another occasion it would have quite a chilled, cosy feel.
I wouldn't say it was cheap when compared to mid-week deal options available elsewhere, but it was well worth the money.
Will definitely return and would highly recommend.
Loved the food. Really nice decor. Great service. Good value for money. Would recommend.
Lovely welcome by staff who were attentive but not intrusive. Food was lovely, plenty of variety and reasonably priced.
Great wee place with a lovely atmosphere and really nice eats! Also fab for a drink or two!
Highly recommend to anyone, will be returning soon
Really welcome addition to Shawlands, lovely interior, friendly helpful staff, food was delicious - would highly recommend and we will definitely return!!
